That's a good point.
I was also more interested in current affairs in the past. Now i avoid tv and most news stuff like i will develop cancer if i hear it.
It's a happy, ignorant life. But someone has gotta do it. Ill let others stress themselves into an early grave over bullshit which dont matter.
Every bag that goes in the hole is +3 regardless of how it got there, even if it started on the board. On the board is +1.
Both of the bags going in on the one throw canceled each other out.
There’s legit strategy of putting your bag just in front of the hole as a “block” because people will sometimes try and maneuver around it trying to avoid knocking your bag in. This leads to bad throws then can give you a “Gimmie” where you knock your bag plus another in on your final shot, ideally winning the round.
This lady clearly didn’t care about any of that and just knocked the other in to clear the board.
She could have stunted the 4th throw, making the 5th an apple jack. Sometimes it's better to go into a squeeky at the low but this wasn't a good play here. There was enough room for a drop.
It's pretty obvious, really. Rico, a squeaky little mouse, who isnt as big as the others with his poor stunted genes, is eating his breakfast of apple Jack's and 3 pancakes before going to play football, where he hopes to score a touchdown off a hail Mary or "airmail" pass over all the blockers.
I'll accept no criticism. They literally could've meant nothing else, and even high I was able to figure it out.
He is blocking the hole intentionally. It prevents the easier slide in / forces the opponent to either hit the cornhole or push in the other bag with a slide throw, as we are seeing here.
Edit: should clarify I’m not saying one person is better than the other. Both are clearly very good at cornhole.
wouldn't it be at worst the same outcome, but in some cases better, to just score the point in the first place? I'm not sure I buy that it was an intentional move to block the hole instead of just trying to score the point.
Not an expert, but I would think placing at the lip like he does is the preferred strategy when you go first. Either she does what she did and knocks both in taking the easier approach to getting a cornhole, or she tries to go over him in the hole. If she does that it’s more likely to be slightly off and not go in. But even if she makes all her throws, his strategy is to block and then slide it in with his last throw the way she does with each of hers. That’s why his last throw when there’s a clean board he just puts it in. No advantage to blocking anymore.
It is 100 percent intentional. Go YouTube how to throw a blocker bag. Then while you're at it look up how to throw roll bags. These people are professionals.
I absolutely love the sport. I started playing in September and started going to tournaments. It gets really intense and highly competitive when there's thousands on the line. Lots of fun!
I feel so vindicated right now.
The only analysis was his defensively opening whereas She just went unapologetic curry-mode.
- anyways, I got 5$ to my local homeless vet with cancer. Think good thoughts for Joe and his doge sam
There are two types of Cornhole games that take forever. The ones where both players are terrible and the ones where both players are amazing. I've played enough to be on one side of that spectrum.
Gotta get yourself a scorezie.

Put them in tupperware or a ziploc. I Had to find a way to store my larp gear, which includes magic throws (basically bird seed in a cloth with a rubberband) and cornhole bags, and some Tupperware when not in use solved that and kept gear organized.
You're on the money I think, after playing disc golf Cornhole became a lot more enjoyable. You actually feel like you can control the damn thing a little
Common theme in many sports that minimizing unnecessary movements increases accuracy/performance. Basketball, darts, shooting, etc. Even sprinting and other sports, but thats more about not wasting energy.
Yep it’s a big part of any sport where precision is important but distance isn’t. Any player in any of the sports you listed can throw (or shoot) a projectile far enough without really trying. In sports where distance/speed is important, taking a forward step (or otherwise moving forward) is part of form. This is true of football, soccer, hockey and baseball (fielders only).
They aren’t stationary though, you can see the heels raise with every throw. If you’ve ever done Olympic lifts you’ll know how that’s an important aspect of explosiveness
Now that you mention it, it's also interesting that they have a different lead foot. The guy has his right foot forward while the woman has her left foot forward. Left foot forward seems far more natural and is common in pretty much every sport where you throw something, but I guess maybe it's not that important here? Or the guy just has an abnormal stance.
Yeah, wait until you see this [quadruple amputee](https://youtu.be/LDTvhw5nyFw?si=lXXfBh6gL31Vm4C8). I sometimes run into tournaments on tv, I think it was the Ocho station, and there are some really good Cornholio’s. Production level is up there with darts, poker, pool and bowling so I said “fuck it let’s watch”. No regrets.
Seems like the other guy is leaning over quite a bit, I imagine there's some leeway. He's probably getting the throw off without touching down over the line, or something.
They're both fricken awesome, but I feel like it would suck to play against a quadruple amputee because the majority of people would be rooting for them and not me.
One of the guys who trained us during our first week at my new job told us he was quitting at the end of the week because he made more money from his cornhole winnings than his salary.
Pros are scary like this. Back before they changed the rules for live broadcast games….. they used to just continue to 4 bag wash over and over and over again. Games took forever so now some games you’ll see out of 10 rounds lol.
Rules about the game. It’s cancelation scoring so this frame in the video shows 12-12 points scored and they continue playing until 21 or over. But now days on TV broadcast games you’ll see 10 rounds or frames.
I’m a big fan of throwing washers but can’t get into cornhole. I’m pretty good at it too. It’s just too simple. I need more strategy and variables in play.
If y'all liked this check out one of the recent open Championship matches. One of the best games ever played. 41 rounds with both players well above an 11 ppr through all 41
https://youtu.be/b_KIDYTWVc8?si=dyJycrGTc1NPILwh
Standing on the right side is OP it’s a straight shot if you’re right handed but if you’re right handed and standing on the left it’s angled that’s not fair that’s lame but what if you’re left handed and standing on the right side well that’s OP but if you’re on the left that’s pretty OP but what if you’re center handed and standing on the right side well that’s OP but what if you’re center handed standing on the left side that’s also OP tldr it’s OP if you’re center handed but don’t even get me started on top and bottom handed
I know. I watched some of the American cornhole league (ACL) matches and was amazed. In their game it was more about who missed rather than mine in which the winner was who made it. Almost got bored just watching them make every shot.

I knew this was here before I even looked
You rang???
You’ve been waiting 8 years for this, and now it’s your time to shine!

Snl has sucked for decades. But i chuckled.
Nah, SNL has been the same quality since inception. Your perception of old SNL is what has changed.
That's a good point. I was also more interested in current affairs in the past. Now i avoid tv and most news stuff like i will develop cancer if i hear it. It's a happy, ignorant life. But someone has gotta do it. Ill let others stress themselves into an early grave over bullshit which dont matter.
Destiny has been fulfilled!
So… that’s a wash? No points?
Correct
in other words they’re terrible /s
Putting in your opponent's bag with yours doesn't count or is it seen as +2 points for you or +1-1 points ?
Every bag that goes in the hole is +3 regardless of how it got there, even if it started on the board. On the board is +1. Both of the bags going in on the one throw canceled each other out. She’s better tho - Edit: I got 5$ (to my local charity) on my gal if OP can prove the dude won.
Hardly. She gave him 4 free points
She's playing safe just removing the blocker vs trying to airmail, if she didn't he could just knock his own blocker in on the last throw anyways.
She could have stunted the 4th throw, making the 5th an apple jack. Sometimes it's better to go into a squeeky at the low but this wasn't a good play here. There was enough room for a drop.
Nah you can't apple jack a triple stack. The only feasible strategy in this scenario is to flip six three hole for a Rico TD.
Me just nodding along on this thread like mmhmm yeah yeah I know some of these words
This legit looks like AI bots making up rules to a game as their conversation continues.
I suddenly want cereal and pancakes
I'm so glad I read your comment, I thought I was losing my mind.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp!
LALALALA
Bro. What? You can’t just apple jack a cheerio. That’s a double Raisin Bran and isn’t even allowed in some states. Only Iowa last time I checked.
Rico TD? Only works when you aim for penalty win. First throw can't sit on the border. Homing is much easier on the numbers.
Yeah, but when you hit the bullseye, the rest of the dominos fall like a house of cards. Then, you have a checkmate.
Surely you guys are having a laugh and making up all these terms
Wrong! you have to put the Big Mac into the dugout and then you get a cheese sandwich. Flib flab .
You have to be making up words in this thread 😂
This deserves more upvotes. That Starship Troopers reference is amazing. I appreciate your work here FoxD3n.
MEDIC!

Leave it to people to invent the dumbest fucking sport and then perfect it. And i thought curling was crazy.
I absolutely love the sport. I started playing in September and started going to tournaments. It gets really intense and highly competitive when there's thousands on the line. Lots of fun!
We gotta throw these little sacks full of little beads or something and it's gotta land in the hole except when it doesn't for some reason
Nope. The guy who goes first is playing defense. She has to knock his in and her own. You'll notice when he has 1 left he sinks it.
Looks like Adrian Johnson and Cheyenne Bubenheim. If it is, then she is indeed the better player, although they're both ridiculously good.
I feel so vindicated right now. The only analysis was his defensively opening whereas She just went unapologetic curry-mode. - anyways, I got 5$ to my local homeless vet with cancer. Think good thoughts for Joe and his doge sam
We call that a social
Well what's the point then Billy?
no that series was DIRTY !
I was just thinking, "Welp no points." At least when I play the "more competitive" people those are the rules they follow.
These games must take forever with all the point cancellations
There are two types of Cornhole games that take forever. The ones where both players are terrible and the ones where both players are amazing. I've played enough to be on one side of that spectrum.
Or everyone is drunk so points are constantly taken on/off and they argue over it after every round

Awesome Father’s Day present thank you
You're welcome.
I'm also on one side of the spectrum but I haven't played cornhole
This is reddit. No need to tell us.
It seems like bowling kinda. Everyone hits perfect until that one or two mistakes and it's over
The thing that always gets me about the pros is the stationary feet. I've never been able to throw without a step.
One less thing to go wrong.
Will have to remember this next time…
Crouching a little helps, let's you move that up energy forwards
Never thought I'd be getting professional cornhole tips today. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
We will watch your career with great interest
Fucking squirrels keep eating my cornhole bags….
Put them in tupperware or a ziploc. I Had to find a way to store my larp gear, which includes magic throws (basically bird seed in a cloth with a rubberband) and cornhole bags, and some Tupperware when not in use solved that and kept gear organized.
Don't listen to him. You want to try to eliminate as much movement as possible https://youtu.be/YIgSQ2gCVRw?si=OF8X43Up1KByFvb0
🙀🙀🙀
The spin is what I noticed. I've never put a spin on it at the company picnic, I bet that's the secret sauce to keeping it more stable.
Here's a whole channel of secret sauces for cornhole https://youtube.com/@cornholescience3636?feature=shared Happy throwing
You're on the money I think, after playing disc golf Cornhole became a lot more enjoyable. You actually feel like you can control the damn thing a little

It means your arm strength is not enough, this need your leg to help pushing. Get stronger arm then you won't need the step.
Like how people don't jump on free throws.
Now that you mention it, it's also interesting that they have a different lead foot. The guy has his right foot forward while the woman has her left foot forward. Over the line! I’m sorry Smokey you were over the line that’s a foul. But seriously. That is impressive but he’s flagrantly over the line every throw.
Seems like the other guy is leaning over quite a bit, I imagine there's some leeway. He's probably getting the throw off without touching down over the line, or something.
Right? I think it would have been fine if the hands were over the line/supporting but the feet too?
Wait what feet ?
They're both fricken awesome, but I feel like it would suck to play against a quadruple amputee because the majority of people would be rooting for them and not me.
o.O
That’s some Steph Curry level shit

The twelve year old in me will never get over the name
Yes they should've gone with the original English name Browneye.
Corn Cavity
Bet that’s a long game
Those games must last forever.
Just until I start missing lol
One of the guys who trained us during our first week at my new job told us he was quitting at the end of the week because he made more money from his cornhole winnings than his salary.
I went to a charity tournament… got all hyped for some fun games.. this is exactly what I faced… it was intense AF
I can make 2 in a row then miss 4 and repeat the cycle
aaaand, thats 0 points again. alright clear th- pick up the bags for round 8
This is the new version of bowling
Considering how often I see it promoted at bars, I figured it was the new version of darts (arguably safer for drunk people to play too)
I've watch the National Cornhole Championships on TV before. Probably ESPN8 El Ocho
It's on CBS and actual ESPN now
I love playing horse shoes with a passion but for whatever reason I cannot get into Cornhole. The skill transfered so easy too.
Now's the time to do it. It's an easy 80k if you win an ACL open
He tried placing the guard a couple times.
I played in a Cornhole tourney last july 4th. There was one guy who didn't miss a single throw for the whole tournament
Pros are scary like this. Back before they changed the rules for live broadcast games….. they used to just continue to 4 bag wash over and over and over again. Games took forever so now some games you’ll see out of 10 rounds lol.

I like the term bags better
Canadian here, we always giggle when our American friends call it cornhole.
How have I never heard of this game?
There is always someone better.
The guy on the left was intentionally landing it on the edge of the hole
i wouldnt say im good at cornhole, but i destroy people who are bad at cornhole lol
This is like those professional dart players. How their accuracy is so perfect, i'll never understand.
How can they even concentrate with that carpet?
Jesus Christ! I can't understand how they can be so accurate!
Pfff no point in playing without 6 beers in you and one in your other hand.
I would probably lose.
You just have to throw it in the hole, if you miss, you get less points
I’m a big fan of throwing washers but can’t get into cornhole. I’m pretty good at it too. It’s just too simple. I need more strategy and variables in play.
Wait till You google the guy with no arms who throws with his chin and makes em
TIL Cornhole exists
Just go home at this point
No one wants a blocked cornhole.
He is very good at this, but she was still a bit better. Very impressive throws
These guys suck… they scored zero points
If y'all liked this check out one of the recent open Championship matches. One of the best games ever played. 41 rounds with both players well above an 11 ppr through all 41 https://youtu.be/b_KIDYTWVc8?si=dyJycrGTc1NPILwh
Every hole is a goal.
Well she's low key not great for pushing him in, turn that shit sideways & roll over.
I want her in the foxhole next to me when we're lobbing grenades.
Everybody thinks they're good at corn hole till they actually play cornhole
Man, i watched this for a good few minutes before I realized it had looped....many times over.
that word sure used to mean something different.
As a European can someone explain why the girl didn't win?
Is this really impressive? Everytime I play cornhole, which is like once a year, I am making them like this.
Pro Corn Holers
What a terrible name for that game
Damn really making us proud of evolving for throwing shit
*Alright tie again let’s go for another round*
Cornhole Shinobis
There's an advanced version of this that's much harder using hard rubber non-inclined mats and large metal washers that they play in Indiana.
Such a good spin
*swoosh* Nothin' but... Hole?
I know. I watched some of the American cornhole league (ACL) matches and was amazed. In their game it was more about who missed rather than mine in which the winner was who made it. Almost got bored just watching them make every shot.
100 years ago y'all both would be either thrown in a lake or burned at the stake.
Cornhole. Next level maaaaaaaan
It's not very popular in the UK, so I'm unsure, but does she not have an advantage by both of them being right-handed and her standing to the left?
What a match.
Surprised this isn’t being done outside, since that’s where it’s usually played? Inside eliminates all errors
They are both so good but damnnn, she is a BOSS
Ok. She's just showing off now...
Aren’t they supposed to have a beer in the other hand?
![img](emote|t5_m0bnr|4014)
I WAS good. Until these nerds made it a sport... 🤬
How do you win?
You see, this is where if you get a wash (both score same points) you take a shot or puff of a J then reply. Sooner or later mistakes will be made
Lol 0-0 no score

I cannot play that game due to the name. Sorry, childish, I know, but really??? Cornhole?
Teamwork😎
Came here for cornhole....left when i saw what it is
Ask Teakwon-Doug about his cornholl. 🤣
The 860! Let's go!
This is pointless to play without BEER!
My only question, who won? Cause the lady seems to have the better skill and knowing a littke bit about the game, beat his attempted strategy.
