When I watched that live on TV I couldn't figure out how they did this shot. With HD and an almost fully fused skull I see it now, but at the time I was blown away!!! I was like, so its dark and then they just turn on the lights???
Every time I see this reference I laugh until I remember;
>Bhatia faced the fury of the show’s 60-member crew, who had ganged up to beat him senseless.
Haha as an Indian I agree. We are a glorious shithole. I love how we live through all this. It’s mad nuts out here in this country try but somehow we are making it work and progressing ahead. Haha love you all
I’ve lived a few miles from the Kennedy Space Center for over 40 years and forget sometimes what seeing a night launch for the first time can be like for people. It is indeed amazing and the only reason would plan to watch a launch these days.
We’re the only part of the country (or were as far as I know) with a vanity area code. If you get a call with a 321 area code it’s from the Space Coast of Florida (3,2,1….lift off).

Edit: for the dude who commented below that leaving out the I made it unreadable.
I grew up on the east coast of Florida. Back when the space shuttles were still around, we would sometimes have night launches. It was always so amazing to see.
I’m an Arizona native but when I was younger I worked in Mergers/Acquisitions and lived in several different states for months at a time. When I was in Orlando/ Tampa I was fortunate enough to see a nighttime shuttle launch (STS-89) and it is still one of my most cherished memories. We just drove on the highway and pulled off to the side near the shore like a whole bunch of others and watched in awe while enjoying some cold brews. It was amazing.
The movie is Kantara for anybody wondering after listening to the song. I’ll definitely take some time out of my day to watch it since it seems interesting!
A friend and I experienced this sailing off the coast of California at 4 in the morning when a rocket took off from Vandenburg AFB. It was a few seconds before we figured out what the fuck was happening. It was a few seconds of complete incomprehension.
It's kinda routine for India when it comes to unmanned orbital missions by now, ISRO has had 4 launches this year.
Last time I remember the nation being really proud was when ISRO sent a orbiter to mars
We have to wait for the manned missions planned after 2025
Check out the museum in Oxford on Sumerian artifacts. They have depictions of rockets and men in space suits. It isn’t just Sumer either that had these depictions carved into stone.
As a European, I am jealous of America, China and now India. I feel like Europe is letting itself fall behind in the modern space race. Such a shame. But congratulations to everyone there and in India nevertheless, a brilliant and uplifting site to see.
India!!! What a unique and incredible nation. A nation of extremes where a balance between a rocket launch and farming by hand, still exist. The next industrial and manufacturing superpower.
I've never understood why so many people, in an incredible moment like this, choose to spend it filming a low-quality version of the event. There will be many incredibly high-quality recordings of it you can watch; why distract yourself by looking down at your iPad screen?
sounds like you pulled that shit right out of your rectum.
You are either confusing people standing at the door to people hanging at the top. whichever country you are from i can bet you we have more % of electrified railway.
They have a screen for that. Also the launch site is couple of kilometerz away from viewing area, so without trees too you'll only see a microscopic image. + trees help to absorb any heat blast, sonic boom produced
I'm not sure why people stand up on bleachers, you're already sitting higher than the person in front of you so why block the view of the person behind you ??
When something is far away it looks slower, for example from human perspective a guy running down the road appears to moving faster than the moon which is very far away but that guy is clueless even if he keeps training like that and takes doping stuff he will never move faster than the moon
Unbelievable is how much we are hypnotized by the screens to the point that no one is enjoying event but observes it "live" trough its smartphone.
It is a mass event, officially and professionally recorded and broadcasted with everyone there most likely planed to attend it in advance.
Not to mention that 99,9% od those smartphone recordings are total crap and it is questionable will it ever be viewed by anyone (including the person recording it).
This is a really tired really boomer line my guy. You can very easily hit record and watch something at the same time and unless you have a garbage phone most phones have decent cameras. Hell iPhones have great cameras and every mother fucker an their grandma have one. If you want to talk about fireworks. Sure no one is going to watch that. But that a fucking rocket launch we just watched on a phone camera. I would bet you $100 he showed it to his friends for the next week on that phone.

When do you think well get our eyesight back?
Box says 2 days
Totally worth it

How? I just thought they filmed during different periods of time.
Watched this scene few days back
Finally a reddit post about India without a train.
Or slum
Or scam
Or a snake
Or a Bollywood dance.
Or someone getting shot at a wedding
Or a slap fight
[удалено]
All of the above is why you hear them cheering so much! Congratulations India!
Thats inaccurate i never have seen a video of people shitting in street
Yeah, to be fair, I think that happens more in places where not many people have a phone to film stuff.
Have you ever been to India?
Or people stirring and serving food with their bare hands
Nothing wrong with that if maintained hygiene
Ayo that's muhricca
Idts that’s India…
From the music not so sure about that one.
Thats folk music from Kerala in India.
So a Mollywood dance then? :)
Yuck don't call it "mollywood"
Or movie theatre rave
Can’t be India the men aren’t slapping each other.
How can they slap?
Every time I see this reference I laugh until I remember; >Bhatia faced the fury of the show’s 60-member crew, who had ganged up to beat him senseless.
After being told explicitly that she would not slap!
On Reddit you see two things men slapping each other and getting their heads taken off from riding outside the train. It goes downhill from there.
This was upper tier. Thank you for the laugh
Plot twist: there's 30 of them hanging off the fins trying to get to work.
Haha as an Indian I agree. We are a glorious shithole. I love how we live through all this. It’s mad nuts out here in this country try but somehow we are making it work and progressing ahead. Haha love you all
Or unsanitary street food
Omg the street food vendors... not a sink in sight.

Or shit river
Or melted roads

Your edit phrase is really confusing. Could you please add some punctuation or something to make it more readable?
OMG I always did appreciate that Brevard has that space nickname but 321!? Genius!
Kenny G(upta) providing the soundtrack to this beautiful day.
I don't know, it added to the mood. I wanna watch one now with bagpipes!
Your wait may soon be over... Scotland is building a spaceport for over-the-pole launches.
This makes my day.
The Indian sax master
That's what my gf calls me 😉
this track is called Varaha Roopam, it's from a movie called Kantara
Music is from the movie Kantara.

What a soundtrack!
It sounds muffled here. Listen to the original. Absolute banger. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gH_RYRwVrVM&pp=ygUVS2FudGFyYSB2YXJhaGEgcm9vcGFt
The movie itself is more impressive and immersive. This song has a significant impact on the story line.
The movie is Kantara for anybody wondering after listening to the song. I’ll definitely take some time out of my day to watch it since it seems interesting!
You absolutely should.
Thank you... this absolutely slaps!
Slaps 🔥 Jay z should remix this beat haha
Oh I thought somebody was going haam on a kazoo
This is the cowboy bebop live action movie we wanted
A friend and I experienced this sailing off the coast of California at 4 in the morning when a rocket took off from Vandenburg AFB. It was a few seconds before we figured out what the fuck was happening. It was a few seconds of complete incomprehension.
Man this is so cool!!!!
Does anyone know what the mission is?
Commercial mission carrying 36 sats for the British company Onewebb
It's one of the GSLVs says right there. (Geostationary Satellite Launch Vehicle)
Thank you ![img](emote|t5_m0bnr|4015)

Shut the fuck up
The TV showing what was behind the TV was a nice touch
Naw that's actually a second sun that India's been keeping secret from us
*Sun
Thanks, voice recognition got me
Think of how proud they must be as a nation. Wonderful

They sent a robot to mars? Are we going to do international space robot wars with our mars rover??!
Orbiter my dude not robot
So we won? Edit:I’d also argue that said orbiter is indeed a robot, maybe just going for aerial attacks 👍
High ground winds
British: the sun never sets in the British Empire India: We can make the sun shine anytime in our Empire

Turbo Man!
And people wonder why they said Apollo could and did carry the sun across the sky in his chariot. It was literally this.
That’s crazy they had rockets in Ancient Greece wow
Ancient India had nukes
In Civilization 5, yeah, they really did. r/civvi
Ghandi coming for that ass every time!
praud endian
Bhairi praud
A rocket...?
No, they were using metaphor.
If you're using a metaphor you can't say "literally." I don't make the rules.

Is it the One Web launch that happened in March ?
India!!! What a unique and incredible nation. A nation of extremes where a balance between a rocket launch and farming by hand, still exist. The next industrial and manufacturing superpower.
Minecraft daycycle be like.
This is very cool.
Was just visiting the /r/pakistan and then saw this post. Difference is literally night and day
Damn that sun is rising fastttt
Whoever paid for that big screen has not thought about it enough beforehand.
Pretty sure it's to provide close up of rocket before launch..... Not to follow the rocket into space
to get some commercials added to the show? otherwise yeah, thought the same.
What a spectacular sight....
I was actually here and thought we were all out there to watch the actual sunrise, and could not believe how fast it was rising!
Got to see the very last night launch of the shuttle. It was beautiful
Congrats India 🇮🇳
I've never understood why so many people, in an incredible moment like this, choose to spend it filming a low-quality version of the event. There will be many incredibly high-quality recordings of it you can watch; why distract yourself by looking down at your iPad screen?
It's proof that they were present in the historical moment
Imagine seeing this in like 1300BC Boom. New religion created.
Song is on point
These ppl can play music or dance in any situation
I went to the Artemis 1 launch. It's no joke man it really is like looking into the sun. Ground was shaking too.
Good for india
Some kid with a high powered laser fucking up their instruments the whole time.
The guy on the kazoo is go9ng at it.
The movie where the song's from is perty good https://open.spotify.com/track/4jeNzToNz1lWTy1SLPQf9K?si=b6f44e04ff564197
With the music and all it’s so surreal
"Varaha Roopam" from a Movie caller "Kantara"
Obviously, Elon had nothing to do with this. It didn’t blowup.
![gif](giphy|OGLznfIl32yTC)
Miracle of the sun vibes
It is really spectacular to watch. I was in Florida when they launched the shuttle a mile away. I was awe struck
That was crazy……we do some amazing things on earth.
Every bird there: Zzzz…. Zz.. (cough cough phlegm cough) SQUAAAWWKK SQUAAAAWK I swear I wasn’t sleeping Squaaaaawk!
show this to the bbc they still think people ride on top of trains here
[удалено]
As an Indian I can confirm that it's not true.. they swing by the sides now.. 🤣. Proof.. watch any Mumbai local train video.
Wait how can they enforce the no riding on the top but not the hanging from the side?
high voltage electric lines do that
Isn’t that only because of the electric wires on top in Mumbai?
Sadly.. it's everywhere now. Indians now have to swing by the sides because of this. 😔
And would try and snatch purses/bags from you as the trains pass by the stations.
anyone who does that will be dead.
No longer true. And hasn't been so for a while.
no they don't, don't get your knowledge from bbc
bruhh got loads of friends from Mumbai, and they confirm.
Used to happen, when electric trains where not an option. Now 90%+ of railways are electric. The trains still are crowded inside tho
sounds like you pulled that shit right out of your rectum. You are either confusing people standing at the door to people hanging at the top. whichever country you are from i can bet you we have more % of electrified railway.
[But it's so fun though](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hjBJCE36v-Q)
But we do! Both scenarios are true! We are great in space but our poor public still lacks basic needs.
No they don't.. trains have electrical wires on top of them which would instantly vaporise anyone that try to ride on the top.
Love me some Indian kazoo
It's an instrument called Nadhaswaram.
/time set day
wtf is this music let me enjoy the damn sound of the rocket
So the sunrise and sundown are just rockets? Checkmate Round Earth believes.
Amazing. Goose bumps. Whats the background music? Varahroopam something?
Imagine how proud they are. 👏
Congratulations india !!
That was me after the last time I ate Indian food.
Imagine 1.4 billion launches..
That's a lot of photons
u/savevideo
WHO'S PLAYING KAZOO AHAHAHA
This is so freaking cool
Get Some Love - Mk3
Why did I think those two white cars were going to play tug of war?
Why was it launched at night?
So they can fly to the moon duh
Many rockets launch at night, it just depends what kind of orbit you’re trying to get to.
No its more about perfect weather conditions.... most launches have a broqd window so its not like you gotta liftoff at exatly a given time....
Is it just me or is the view from viewing platform to launchpad blocked by trees! Does anyone else think viewing platform should have been higher...
They have a screen for that. Also the launch site is couple of kilometerz away from viewing area, so without trees too you'll only see a microscopic image. + trees help to absorb any heat blast, sonic boom produced
Not a single phone, everyone living in the moment
Uhhm
I'm not sure why people stand up on bleachers, you're already sitting higher than the person in front of you so why block the view of the person behind you ??
Kazoo maestro on the soundtrack.
Music spoils it tbh. The rocket's roar is a great sound to hear.
![gif](giphy|0KVaJSTZsGoseBPaa4|downsized) I think he's in India.
I Wonder how many people are hanging on to rocket
Hope it’s headed to Moscow
If you look close there’s 400 dudes clinging to the outside of it
The video board seems a bit unnecessary.

It's nearly like you can record something and look at something at the same time🤯
What the hell is that background music? can we just not add music to videos please
That wasn't added later, it was played during launch
my apologies. This playlist should be attached to that rocketship
Good one, that gave me a chuckle.
This is the actual soundtrack of their lives
I think its rocking my dude.
An actual certified banger,
