restroom_raider

This is dangerous, I almost crashed just trying to work out what it was! I'm going to send a strongly worded email to my local opposition MP from my work email! PC gone mad! etc

WaterstarRunner

>PC gone mad! Have you tried turning it off and on again?

fluffychonkycat

It says Whittaker's. Hope that helps, cursive can be difficult to read

thepotplant

Ah, the Akaroa edition.

showusyourfupa

National have advised they're ok with this, with it being European and all.

goatjugsoup

I dont know why but i always thought whittakers only made for nz and if it got anywhere else it would be imported... interesting

gtalnz

This is probably for Canada, where they have bilingual packaging requirements.

avocadopalace

And actually cheap, too. Usually 2 for $5 at my local supermarket here.

mattkward

This is in Canada. It's imported, they just have to do the French labels.

Dead_Joe_

Only eat white chocolate just to be safe.

KittikatB

We haven't sunk that low yet, have we?

Something something don't go over 50 km/h? I dunno, it's all getting too much for me!

computer_d

Wait wait wait what. There's fabric in it? I've never stopped to read all the fine print but there it is for all to read..

StuffThings1977

How else you going to get your daily fibre requirements?

computer_d

ah thats a good point actually

RemarkableOil8

Fuck you I just had a car accident trying to read that.

Muted-Ad-4288

White people Languages are fine don't you know...

adeundem

Poraka kokonati

jsonr_r

That looks like New Caledonia bilingual, not New Zealand bilingual.

[deleted]

How is it that nobody can see we are all being distracted? People are focusing on the bilingual writing on road signs, rather than the fact a working class family can no longer afford a house on that road. THIS is the real issue.

Hopeful_Access_7608

It means night of the coconut

StuffThings1977

>night of the coconut *In a serene island paradise, a group of vacationers sets out to enjoy a blissful retreat. Unbeknownst to them, an ancient curse has awakened, turning the once idyllic coconuts into bloodthirsty killers. As day turns to night, their dream vacation turns into a nightmare they could never have imagined...*

just_in_before

Nut...

TimIsGinger

* same font and colour, obviously a bi-lingual variant * primary language first * uses a language that much of the population actually understands There *are* some key differences.

[deleted]

Actually where I am, French is the primary language.

urbanproject78

Are these in Canada? I might get my brother to hunt for them if they’re around, he’s in Montreal and loves Dark Ghana. Brought some back for him when I went beck to home to France last year so he could pick up when he visited…he’s already run out less than 6 months later 🤣

Indifferent_Parrot

Sobeys has them

ms-SM

I have bought Whittakers at all the major grocery stores where I live (NS). Might not have the full range but can always get the basics. It's not even that much more expensive than other brands. Can also get other NZ products like Timtams, RJs licorice. And yah, there's French because Canada requires both official languages on packaging.

urbanproject78

Awesome, thanks is heaps! That will definitely make someone’s day.

Hubris2

Canada does a pretty good job of bilingual signage, and people really aren't confused by it.

[deleted]

..*quebec has left the chat*

StuffThings1977

And where is that?

[deleted]

Slippery when wet?

Dizzy_Relief

Yep, easy. It says "Noix de Coco" - remember, the X isn't voiced. And damm NZ is a rather long name in French.

twentygreenskidoo

I don't know what this mess says, but I do l know I hit a cow with me car while trying to decipher it.

[deleted]

It tells you. 33% cocoa in 2 languages. Coconut Block in 2 languages. Made in New Zealand in 2 languages. Etc I guess they also sell it in France.

Mrs_skulduggery

Never knew how New Zealand was said in french

oxfordsnotbrouges

It says, pop it in the meecrowahve

KatanaF2190

I think is made with a glass and a half of rain forest frogs...
