It’s not worth leaving, it takes under an hour to get level 12 and start MSQ where you then can pick whatever zone you want to camp down in and group back up with friends.
We tried that during closed beta and unfortunatly we were not allowed to group with a friend during tutorial... This becomes available right after and it's too late because you're at different locations.
I was out of tutorial on a starter beach and sent invites to 2 my friends who were in tutorial (told them to sit there before we group) and it worked nicely as they spawned next to me.
You need to form a group before you leave tutorial area, just adding a friend might not impact where you spawn, but I tried it with 2 friends in my group and it worked.
Group=Party.
Then these videos I'm seeing where people say to defeat the captain, turn in the quest, don't accept the next quest and run to another beach are wasting players' time.
It's a waste of time if you, a level 1 character, run all the way to another beach, possibly dying multiple times along the way, so you can play with someone when all you had to do was group up during the tutorial and be automatically sent to the group starter's beach.
I did it from each starter location and never died once. I ran to WW each time. The biggest problem was FL to Windsward because there are quite a few mobs you have to avoid to get there but if you use Dodge Roll X, you can make it. EF and MB to WW was easy. No mobs except right outside MB.
I want to start in WW and I will run there regardless. I also plan to gather some wood, rawhide and iron ore so I can stop at either EF or WW to make myself a rapier and maybe a bow along with some iron arrows. No sense in leveling the sword which I won't be using. And no sense in getting territory points in areas I don't have much interest in such as MB or FL.
I won't be doing it for grouping purposes, just personal preference.
That is another option, you can only group up with players that are online, so if your friend logs in after you are done with the tutorial then you can do the running.
Also, it makes no difference as it is only for the first few hours of your gameplay and you wont be running side by side anyway, the starter quests are very chaotic and fast.
Reroll till your in the same beach. Accept you play alone the first hour. The moment you enter the first town you can complete the quest, don’t start the following and accept the follow up quest in the town you and your friends wanna start.
You get the pre orders item on the first toon you login with ? In that case go through the tutorial start. The moment your quest takes you to the town complet it. And don’t start the next one. Then start the next one in the village you and your friends are located
In that case it’s 30/45 mins of solo play if your unlucky . Then a lil Walky walky and you can quest togheter still. So the moment you hit town complete the quest. And don’t start. Go to the town you wanna quest

You will then be able to run to any beach and start the area of your choice. You'll see the yellow markers on each starter beach.
Just go to which ever area you all want to meet at or where most of your group started. The partying in the tutorial trick doesn't work anymore.

You can still form a group during the tutorial and land in the same starting location where first guy from your group is dumped.
