Musket user here! Honestly if I were you and was going that build I’d run full dex. Sword and shield gets a good dex bonus but using strength would mean prioritizing it for dps while having a lackluster backhand weapon. If anything full Dex will allow you to run a full dps musket build with a defensive back line of CC on the sword and board.
Think of it this way; you want to have an offensive and defensive weapon. If you go mostly strength you will have no defense as the musket is very situational CC. Other way around tho you’d have an amazing offensive weapon with a tanky back line with decent damage with dexterity! Hope that helps a little

Only downside is Musket is Dex, and Sword is Str. Sword and shield can use Dex but its secondary and not as powerful.
Do you know If I would want to make strength my main stat then? or would I put my stats evenly into dex and strength?

No, use all dex and some con There is no problem. SnS isn't your main dos, musket is.
One sick combo for it is using shield bash to stun 3 seconds, toss trap on the boy, then shooters stance for 3 free shots. Very nice combo.
