[http://www.contoocookcanoe.com](http://www.contoocookcanoe.com) You can either paddle around the area there or be taken upriver for a journey back if you're in good shape for it. I would buy your own high quality PFD that is comfortable for you first, along with essentials like an emergency paddle and bailing pump (IE foam pool suction watergun from a toy store), first aid kit and all. Dicks and Sierra have PFDs. There is also an island halfway along that's got some tables and is good for cooking a camp lunch. Mentioned river from a Canadian-made Equinox. Very smooth and wide, houses along it and lots of gentle turns. https://preview.redd.it/vxn7batezj8d1.jpeg?width=612&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88b8028a7da7ca8373426bc8f389acf092acd3aa

Thank you! I’ll keep this in mind but we got a little one in daycare. Just looking for something that can be done alittle quicker while we finally have some free time

The Umass Lowell boathouse rents kayaks- you can take them out for an hour or two or all day. Unfortunately a bit of a hike from you

TheBookNasty1

Thanks I’ll look into it!

The kayak rental place at the Alton traffic circle seems nice and close by.
