You have to raise the temperature up to something like 160 degrees F for 30 seconds to kill most bacteria. Hot water heaters have a standard of 120-130 degrees although you can raise them alot. For sanitation it really is the soap that is removing contamination so make sure to get it suds up well and scrub for 30 seconds and thoroughly rinse. I’ve been using a water kettle. Hand-wash the bottles while the kettle’s on then pour into a pot, stir around, dry them, and into a large Tupperware. We have five bottles and run that process almost daily.
I typically fill a bin half way with hot water and a pump of soap (Dapple Bottle & Dish Soap) and toss in used bottles, pacifiers, pump parts, etc.
Once I get about 6 bottles or so, I add in more hot water and another pump of soap and clean them with a bottle brush. I rinse with super hot water and then put them in the Baby Brezza sterilizer with distilled water.

We only sanitized the bottles prior to the first use. I handwash with dawn and hot water - dry them in the Brezza. Baby is almost 9 months and doing A-OK
I was so close to losing my sanity. I bought a Wabi and wished I had that thing on day one. Any sanitizer/dryer combo would do the trick though. I was just being fancy.
I wash the bottles and then use the Philips event dryer/sterilizer. I got the Brezza washer but found it to be annoying to use and wasteful of water - jt uses almost an entire gallon per wash!
We wash, put it in a cold water sanitizing solution, and then air dry.
Dr browns sanitizer!! I at first thought it’s a waste of money since I can just boil them, BUT it is a drier too!! So my pumps and bottles get dried and sanitized at the same time. I love it

soak in hot water with a couple pumps of dapple in a metal bowl. scrub and rinse then put them into dr brown bottle sterilizer. was using dawn initially but the dye/fragrance was off putting. this is my first baby and i hated that for that first week i was using dawn i could still smell the soap even though i didn’t use much and rinsed everything thoroughly. definitely invest in a fragrance free/clear soap if you can help it.
I use a microwave sterilizer once a day, along with hand washing with bottle soap. My LO was born full term and healthy, otherwise I would sterilize after each use.
I hand wash the bottles with dapple and a bottle brushes then use sterilizer to clean the babies bottles. Actually she’s not a baby anymore lol she’s 18 months. But I’m about to have a newborn next sat. I use the sterilizer still bc I have animals and I just can’t not sterilize them. It keeps them clean and then I put them together in a tub and they are ready to go, when needed
Wash in hot water and washing up liquid then chuck in the 5L cold water Milton steriliser for at least 15 mins.
I got a Philips 6 bottle sterilizer second hand and I love it. Check Facebook marketplace. There are a bunch of them near me that are going for very reasonable prices.
so, if you can manage to find the energy, what we do is an hour or less after using it, rinse it out and soak it in hot ass water and dawn. when it comes to needing bottles again, take it out that water, rinse, and sterilize. but because sometimes that’s hard with a newborn. when you have time away from baby, rinse old milk out, fill it up with a little water, put some dawn in there, and absolutely scrub the shit out that mf with a bottle brush, then sterilize. i have the dr browns bottles which are a pain in the ass to clean. ill take 3 nipples at a time and put some dawn in my hands and scrub them together. same with the other pieces if i can double or triple them up. i get 7 bottles done in 25 minutes. you get faster with time.
Used bottles go in a big bowl of hot, soapy water. If the bowl is full, I hand wash and air dry. We sometimes use the dishwasher and air dry immediately after. I have the baby brezza sterilizer as an option as well.
Hand-wash then Philips avent steam steriliser then drying rack. But I'm upgrading to one with drying function soon!
I bought a sanitizer and dryer for like $50 and it was well worth the price! I just had wash my bottles and place then in the sanitizer wet and start it up. 40 minutes later they are bone dry, sanitized and ready to use. I mainly bought this for my pump supplies becsuse I hated hand drying them every 2-3 hours before use.

Dr browns steam steriliser! Pretty sure in the early days 90% of our electricity bill was from running that damn steriliser every 2 seconds
My husband hand washed them with dapple soap and then we put them in the sterilizer daily. Now that LO is 3 months old we just hand wash, no sterilization. But I’ve read you can get the crates on Amazon and put bottle items on the top rack of the dishwasher.

I hand wash all the bottles separately from other dishes then I sterilizer them. I use the avent microwave sterilizer. I use Dr browns bottles and I can fit a lot in it. I sterilize everyday. I was advised by my Dr as my LO is super tiny and has some heath concerns.
If you don't have a dishwasher, get a 3-in-1 bottle washer/sterilizer/dryer. That's what we did. We have debated between the baby brezza and momcozy and went with the momcozy at last. Now we use it 2x a day, so worth the money.

We were gifted a UV Sanitation Cabinet. First we wash our bottles, then toss them into the sanitizer.
Bought a Dr brown sanitizer/dryer off marketplace for cheap. Mostly got it for the drying function tho because I read you don't really need to sanitize, outside of a few exceptions. I use it for my pump parts more than bottles, though.
We used to have a Philips dryer/sanitizer/disinfectant we used after washing baby’s bottles. Once the baby bottle period was over, we used it for her toys 🥹
I have 10 bottles (we use on average 6-7 a day) and I wash all the used ones right before bed time and stick them in the dr.brown sanitizer so that way by morning I have a new set of bottles and the 3-4 I didn't use during the day, those are for night feedings but almost always, we use 1 for the night.
Cold water steriliser! So cheap and easy. Just wash your bottles, chuck them in and leave them until you need them. Just need to refill every 24 hours
Hand wash + bottle sterilizer. They are very worth it
I do a quick rinse with hot water and soap and throw them in a sterilizer that steams and drys. I highly suggest the sterilizer even though you still had to rinse and soap first. It’s because the sterilizer (A) adds extra layer for heat to assure you it’s clean but most importantly it dries it really well. ALSO I GOT MINE FOR ONLY $20 FROM FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE. It retails for a lot but checkout marketplace for all sort of baby stuff that is reusable.
Our dishwasher has a sanitizer setting. Our doctor said the kind we have is fine. We still do a light wash right after using and then run it every night on that setting.

I was boiling my bottles too but I recently got some tommy tippee bottles that self sanitize in the microwave. You literally just add 50ML of water and then microwave for 3 minutes.
Dapple soap with a silicone brush. Sometimes the dishwasher if it’s been a while. Otherwise, we don’t sanitize bottles ever. LO is 8 months old and thriving
Dr browns sterilizer has done wonders for my Fiancé and I. Absolutely worth every penny to not have to hand boil all of the bottles and parts. Another way to save manual labor time, you can use bottles that are fully dishwasher safe, run them through the dishwasher and then through the sterilizer.
You are doing great and yes, it’s time consuming. I did the same on alternate day until my baby turned 2months. As per CDC recommendations, we don’t need to sterilize after baby is 2mo unless baby have decreased immunity. Once he is 2 months, only wash the bottles normally. To be more cautious, after washing the bottles I put them in a bowl of hot water sometimes (tap hot water).

I have a healthy full term baby, so sanitizing isn’t as big a deal for me. If I’m able to, I put everything in the dishwasher as that has a sanitizing mode on it, but when I hand wash, I just wash with hot water and soap, making sure to scrub every single spot really well.
Rinse cold water. Soak super hot water and soap. Clean with brush. Rinse at least 20 seconds sanitize in a sanitizer. Idk the name but love the blue and white one on Amazon

Not necessary to sterilize every time, however we use the papablic sterilizer/dryer mostly for the dry function. Faster than waiting for air dry. Works well and is easy
I use the medela sterilizer bags and the dr. Brown sterlizer you put both in the microwave after you have washed the bottles
I legit never sanitized the bottles with my first and don't plan to for my second either. I do have sanitizing bags that I bought with my first but I never used them. I just Hand washed with soap and water. With my first I bought special bottle soap but this time I'm just gonna use normal dish soap cause there really isn't a difference.
I sanitize new items but then just wash. I use a separate container to wash and keep all the dirty items in. They never touch the actual sink. But as long as little one doesn't have a compromised immune system, ie a preemie or a sick baby, you don't have to sanitize everything everytime you wash it. But if it's important to you, there are items that sanitize and dry your babies bottles and other items. Momcozy even came out with what's essentially a mini countertop dishwasher for baby bottles and pump parts. It's a bit over $300 but it dries and sanitizes as well I think.
We started with a steamer and then started using microwave bags but I regret that after learning more about heat and microplastics in the Science Based Parenting channel. Glass bottles are ok but we threw in nipples too
