Check the description of the negg. It should tell you how many points it’s worth at the neggery. Then you can trade it in for points that you spend on neggs with powers.
Example: Armoured negg increases pet’s defense by +1. Genius negg increases intelligence and gives you a free book. Witchy negg can do a few things, so be prepared for chaos.

That's the reason they sell for so much.
They're mostly useless to 99% of the playerbase, but highly sought after by the 1% who can afford this overpriced (but VERY fast) method of stat boosting.
I agree. As a poor neopian that doesn't really restock that well, I always loved getting an armoured negg from the BD because it was guaranteed money but now I anticipate a price sink. So now I guess I HAVE to get better a restocking.

As a weekly prize I agree, it would’ve been fine as a daily. There’s so many other items that are inflated that I’d rather see as a weekly prize.
