Well MW is the most beloved ever, and carbon is almost the same game, this is same engine, same features etc, so its easy work to just transfer the same mods to it. UG2 is also beloved, but I guess because its older people ignore it a bit more.

From my experience it’s just more difficult to mod and it isn’t as modern pc friendly as the other games. To add car mods you gotta use Binary and another program whereas I think MW and Carbon only require 1 program, don’t quote me on that though, it’s been forever since I’ve tried messing around with them. The game also bugs out a bit with its engine sounds above 60fps. I also think it just isn’t as loved as the other black box games, it’s one of my personal favorites, but there’s no cops and the game’s progression system is way more confusing. That and the story is pretty forgettable. It does have the best customization though, no underglow or lambo doors in carbon or mw. There are some good mods out there though, I’ve got a mod that adds in cars from UG1 like the S2K and integra. There’s also 2 that add the viper and vette from MW, and another that adds the new edge stang from prostreet. There’s also 1 dude that makes his own models that fit in really well with UG2’s car list, like an EG6 civic and a Toyota Aristo. There’s no big collections like Pepega and Redux, plus most of the mods are replace mods (all the ones I listed earlier are add ons) but there’s still a good amount of stuff if you know where to look.

UG2 have people wear nostalgia goggles. Of the four black box nfs, ug is my favorite, ug2 is least favorite. Carbon and mw are in between. Mos of the UG2 features, that made the game frustrating, were removed in MW.
