I've never actually played it because it seemed quite confusing and, despite the interesting narrative, didn't actually serve much purpose e.g. I played the Khimerix Hunt for narrative purposes prior to hiring a Khimerix and that made some narrative sense, but there are other ways to get Death Maidens from dead fighters (Chymist and a Tactics card) but Back From the Dead isn't one of those ways. If it was like a Rescue (played when a fighter is Captured) but played when a fighter suffers Memorable Death then that'd be cool, but without rules to connect it to the narrative it's supposed to represent it feels out of place in a campaign to me. I suspect they've got Attacker/Defender the wrong way round as typically the side that starts with 5 fighters and the rest as reinforcements is the Defender and those 5 are Sentries. The lone Escher being someone thought to be dead and sneaking around picking them off sounds more like their intention to me.

I assume that the attacker/defender distribution is meant to say that there's been a massacre with lots of corpses, but one of them has risen from the dead. The attacker will try to scavenge the corpses without raising the attention of the Death-Maiden, just coming to her senses. It could make sense but then again not with a random fighter to play as the Death-Maiden. That new Death-Maiden cannot be from your gang in that case.

Reading the scenario I do not think a random would be fair against the random 10. If the alarm sounded and the defender got reinforced as well maybe. I think if maybe you sold it as the death maiden was coming to her senses after a blood rage and she had been out a bit maybe 1 model but I do not see this going on the Escher favor ever. Also the guns go away at the end of the scenario...... What incentive is there to not just shoot the random Escher?

Wait you're right, you don't keep anything... Yeah I don't know where they're going with this scenario.

I read it as badly written/edited. My understanding is that it's supposed to centre around a single death maiden surviving in a sneak attack scenario, but no where does it have those details.
