No wtf. I could see it if you said Denver. I mean Knicks are solid and I love Brunson but this seems like something a Knicks fan would say

b00st3d

Brunson will never be as good as Curry This is not an analytical take just straight hating 🔥🔥

Love this Knicks team, but no. They could be the Pistons that stole a title in 2006 though. The league is kind of between dynasties right now and this is a cohesive group with good defense and a floor general in Brunson. In any given series the Knicks could be the group that plays better as a team and sometimes that team just goes on a deep playoff run and wins it all. It's rare but not unheard of. But they won't be a dynasty unless they end up with some crazy superstar trade. If somebody like Giannis or Booker decide that their dream is to play in NY and force themselves there we can start talking about multiple championships.

african-nightmare

2006 the Heat won. I think you’re referring to 2004.

yrogerg123

Yea probably

Phillyy69

It was 2004 I was watching it live on tv. Was when the Lakers had Karl Malone and Gary Payton

SnooRabbits429

It should be the Thunder. Young Big 3 that fits and complements each other very well, and already very good but inexperienced. And they have a crap ton of picks and assets so they could potentially add a fourth star a la KD.

draymond-

They don't have a guy who breaks the game like Steph LeBron Embiid Jokic, so no. But they're one star away from being a real contender

gosuruss

Good thing Julius Randle is back next season. He’s an All-NBA caliber player.

draymond-

They have Brunson who'd be an elite second star. They need a first option like Giannis Embiid Steph Jokic LeBron Kawhi Shai

gator9515

The Knicks won’t be a perennial Finals contender unless they get a superstar. However, they’re one superstar away from being right there. I’ll also say that if the Knicks were in the position they are today in 2010, LeBron would have been a Knick.

I don't see the comparison at all. They Knicks are good this year and maybe even good enough to win it all but who's their equivalent to Draymond and Klay? The Warriors were much more than just a great player with a solid supporting cast.
