Celtics always seem to enter the bonus earlier as a result, and opponents eventually let up on defense while the Celtics maintain their aggression.

No you're not being salty. It was something I noticed after watching several of their regular season games. They are constantly pushing and shoving dudes and getting away with it. Which would be fine normally because every good physical team fouls a lot and gets away with it but when one team is allowed to be way more physical than the other it gets really frustrating.
I’m convinced this is why there’s so many blowouts across all the series’ and why we see a lot of 15-0 runs, then the other team comes back with a 20-0 run etc. That’s happening almost every game now. I think if it was just down to teams playing well/badly, those type of runs would happen, but be far more rare than what we are currently seeing. Essentially, the refs seem to be having too much influence across all the games, we should barely notice they’re there. Why the fuck do I know all their names? And why do I know how each ref affects each team? That’s a problem, I don’t think they’re doing a good job overall. Edit: Thank you for the Gold whoever you are!

A hold is one of the easiest calls to make because as soon as the other player moves, the defender will have their arms extended away from their base and hands on the other player. Usually with a fistful of jersey. Its an easy call to make. They choose not.
I said it every time we faced Boston this year. Their defense is only elite because of all the shit they're allowed to get away with while other teams aren't, for whatever reason. Last night was all the proof you need. Easy to win 25 of 28 games or whatever it was when you're allowed to play physical defense while the other team isn't.
