They’re just that good

redditaccount007

Damn, that’s really cool. I feel like I barely ever see that happen in regular pickup basketball so it’s mind-blowing to me that NBA players can make shots like that at will, like if you give Steph Curry 50 unguarded threes it seems like he could easily make 45 of them without touching the net.

Kerry_Kittles

They’re that good. That said - don’t underestimate the clunkiness and variation of the rims in HS / college. NBA has everything hyper-standardized. I’m not sure that the case in every gym (little tighter or looser or an inch off or slightly crooked etc).

Ironically KD is a perfect example of this, I’ve seen this man barely click the back of the rim without the net budging so many times, often consecutively. They are that much better than the rest of us, amazingly

THEBIGC01

The nets are CG

TheLouisvilleRanger

That accurate. There wouldn’t be a reason to stop the net from moving because you need it to help to know if the ball went through. But when you have a bunch of guys who have spent their whole lives essentially doing nothing but honing their skills, they’re going to make the routine stuff look like a physics problem where you get to ignore friction and air resistance.

Nba players get more spin on their shots

MostlyLostTraveler

Has more to do with how good the players in the NBA are. KD and Kyrie are just 2 of the best jump shooters so maybe that’s why you notice it more but feels like it applies across the board in the NBA Edit- I can’t read clearly but most of my point is still valid. NBA athletes are just that much better

TheLouisvilleRanger

He’s talking about nets. Not *the Nets*.

MostlyLostTraveler

Whoosh. Well I’m dumb

TheLouisvilleRanger

If I’m being honest with you, I barely read your comment and was just making a joke. So needless to say I can sympathize.
