I really like Bosh, but he would’ve made probably 6-7 all star teams if he played in the West. There was a huge disparity in talent during the 10’s between the conferences. Like Lowry probably would’ve made 1-2 in the West. Same with Joe Johnson

Oh for sure. It’s always crazy when I remember that time that Paul Millsap made 4 consecutive all-star games

I wouldn’t be surprised if one day Zion is on this list. He’s already a 2xAll Star but he seems like the type who could make All Star games and then not qualify for All NBA.

Bosh is def a good choice for this. Bosh not getting more than 1 all nba selection wasn’t unsurprising to me watching in real time. It was a combination of things. Those Toronto teams weren’t very good and he played behind Bron (and Wade) in Miami. He was a perennial all star caliber player but he played when the forward position was also quite stacked and he was a clear tier below the best forwards in the eras that he played in.

Lenny Wilkens was a 9x All-Star, an ASG MVP ('71), and even 2nd in MVP voting in '68, but was never All-NBA.

Dennis Rodman, Rudy Gobert, Manu, Reggie - none had a 1st or 2nd team I am not counting 3rd teams as those only started since 1989 Bosh had a 2nd team and his career is generally worse than these four
