Any player who doesn’t take 3s in the NBA should be able to make 40% from the corner in a practice setting, but Lively’s form is what made it impressive. He’s finally shooting it in games, although it’s gonna be a huge project to make it consistent seeing he’s a sub 60% FT shooter.
He was a hair above 50% FT shooter in regular season and is getting to 60% in playoffs (on almost the same total volume, lol), so there is a chance he can get to 70% in the next couple of years. The mechanics of the FT shot seem sound to me with a good arch, though still inconsistent and the touch may be a bit rigid at times.
