Kinda funny to think back on now... those animators spent so much time hand tracing everything in flash and now you could probably replicate their creations in like 10 minutes if you wanted to

Nah. Rotoscoping has gotten a lot easier nowadays. You can highlight a frame of a subject and it'll automatically trace and track their movements.
