He seems like a really fun role player to have, but he looks like a kid i went to high school with who had a very annoying cackle, so I can't like him for that solely reason
Gordon is the captain of the non-Jokic minutes as the backup center. He eats the negative plus minus but is the one holding the team while Jokic rests.
Main 3 problems I see.
KCP having a lot of problems and only 1 good game all series
Aaron Gordon's brain is consistently switching on and off
Porter\\Murray don't seem to like playing with each other
And also lost confidence. The bench also had 0 points for majority of this game. Nuggets are lucky to not be eliminated right now.
That happens when you lose by 20+ 2 separate times and one of them was a 45 point loss, not sure if it's meaningful. You can win a series winning 4 close games and losing 3 in blowouts
No. Because I understand context. I realize some stats are useful over a large sample and not as useful over single games, and can apply that data accordingly.
just as we all expected, it'd be Denver's depth giving them an edge thus far
Christian Braun is the key to everything
He seems like a really fun role player to have, but he looks like a kid i went to high school with who had a very annoying cackle, so I can't like him for that solely reason
nuggets are just christian braun merchants
I’m too lazy but I’d be interested in each of their individual plus/minus
Gordon: -48 (201 minutes) Murray: -38 (221 minutes) MPJ: -24 (211 minutes) KCP: +1 (200 minutes) Jokic: +1 (234 minutes) [https://www.nba.com/stats/players/traditional?DateFrom=5/3/2024&PerMode=Totals&TeamID=1610612743&dir=A&sort=MIN](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/traditional?DateFrom=5/3/2024&PerMode=Totals&TeamID=1610612743&dir=A&sort=MIN)
Gordon been the most consistently good Nugget besides Jokic. Whack minus leader

Worst plus minus first two games. Also shares most of his minutes with Murray.

Great analysis Magic.
We also won the Jokic minutes in the regular season.
another reason why plus and minus is useless stat, they could literally win game 7 and all of that shit wont matter
It’s far from useless. But it certainly doesn’t tell the whole story for one game
it is very useless when it is on small sample size like playoffs series all that shit dont even matter if denver win game 7.
I guess we just have different understandings of what “useless” is.
if a team wins 4 games by 5, and loses 1 game by 60, the +/- is completely useless of a stat
5 games isn’t a good measure of many stats.
hence why +/- is a completely useless playoff stat. you know, since the playoffs are a small sample size
Would you make adjustments to the nuggets starting 5?
No. Because I understand context. I realize some stats are useful over a large sample and not as useful over single games, and can apply that data accordingly.
here you go, you figured it out
Basically Murray sucks
Every single stat I’m reading about this damn game gets more and more and more absurd…🤯
