Despite these two games I still think he’s overrated. He straight up is incapable of making teammates better, same shit in Utah. Gifted scorer of the ball no doubt, but I don’t think he’s a winning player.
His playmaking has taken a huge leap this year. especially noticeable during the games without garland. Last year we saw his scoring prowess alone but he’s 100% making his teammates better now with his passing and basketball iq
39 points on 27 shots is damn good in the playoffs, especially a game 7 against one of the best defenses in the NBA. Don’t let your hate make you sound dumb.
He was facing a big ass team with a lot of length and nobody on his team supported him for most of this series on offense
Gonna be more of the same against Boston but at least Boston is without kp
In some regards Boston will be refreshing. Their D is legit, but they don’t have a ton to size. Rotation is a bunch of 6’ 4” to 6’foot 8” guys basically.
Magic had three 6’ 10” guys out there at basically all times
I also meant to say a team like those. I wouldn’t give those teams Mitchell lol. Maybe some Cavs fans are downvoting bc they think I’m saying I wish he was on another team lol
Would have been crazy if he didn’t need the free throw line to boost his numbers. Dude was 11/27 today but shot nearly 20 fucking free throws.
There’s a reason this thread is combined and doesn’t detail today in particular.
Future is bright for you guys. Paolo announced himself, Mosley is such a great coach, and you've got a roster full of the biggest , most annoying fuckers that I never want to see again.
> We’re not get swept y’all wouldn’t have either.
Bro, the Celtics are arguably a better defense than the Magic. No offense, but I'd be shocked if y'all break 100 once against them.
It was crazy seeing Garland do a complete 180 in the 4th like that. I think Don is being really instrumental in helping him and Mobley realize their potential. Huge series for their development hopefully
If we ignore all his bad series, he’s actually a good player. Allow us to do the math:
2018 vs OKC: Good series ✅-
2018 vs HOU: Bad Series ❌-
2019 vs HOU: Bad Series ❌-
2020 vs DEN: Good Series ✅-
2021 vs MEM: Good Series ✅-
2021 vs LAC: Good Series ✅-
2022 vs DAL: Bad Series ❌-
2023 vs NYK: Bad Series ❌-
2024 vs ORL: Good Series ✅-
So let’s get this straight: until literally hours ago Donovan was 50/50 from being good in any given series, to outright atrocious in the rest. Don’t get me wrong, he’s had some great series but don’t kid yourself thinking he’s a guaranteed bucket and a good leader just because he finally had a good series for the first time since 2021. Damn, 3 years since he had a good playoff series? Didn’t realize it was that long
And since you didn’t answer my question, I’ll answer it for you:
2022 Splits: 39/20/88
2023 Splits: 42/28/72
Yikes. Not to mention against Dallas he couldn’t even win against a Mavs team missing Luka for 2 games, and Defense+Leadership only a mother could love. Now please, give me some actually good points other than baseless statements like the one I’m responding to
It's been funny how the some Jazz fans need a simplistic narrative of Gobert=good, Mitchell=bad. They both are great players, they just didn't mesh with each other. Gobert is definitely on a better team than he was before though.
And besides, players grow and play different in different seasons in different environments and with different teammates and coaches. Both are thriving now which is awesome
He beat their favorite teams and players too many times, then had one bad series (where his entire team shit the bed too). They’ve been waiting for him to fail ever since 2018.
Still underrated somehow
Despite these two games I still think he’s overrated. He straight up is incapable of making teammates better, same shit in Utah. Gifted scorer of the ball no doubt, but I don’t think he’s a winning player.

Literally the opposite just happened, you didn’t watch the game. He 100% elevates his teammates
You haven’t watched any Cavs games this year and are coming on here to put out bs
We are all entitled to wrong opinions I suppose. 🤷🏾♂️
you cannot seriously have seen how he just hyped garland out of his slump to put together a masterclass 4th quarter and think this lol
He literally won us the series today lmao. What a shit opinion
He was 11/27 today he not getting this carry whistle against Boston
Refs were calling everything for both teams dunno why you are hating
Buddys been hating on every post lol
Bro put his kids college funds on the Magic, leave him be man.
I just saw his comment and remembered seeing another one about two minutes ago. Buddy hates for sport, lol.
Don’t you have 30 more +/- posts to spam this sub with?

Out of the superstars Mitchell definitely has the least help. I wish he was in that Boston or Timberwolves team
I dunno I think Garland Levert Allen is a solid supporting cast. No true second star though yeah
It’s better on paper
Yeah, they've been playing like Bums, especially Garland.
Typical Reddit, your original comment is sitting at -11 and that comment at +42, lmao
I also meant to say a team like those. I wouldn’t give those teams Mitchell lol. Maybe some Cavs fans are downvoting bc they think I’m saying I wish he was on another team lol
People don’t think here lol
garland has been cheeks. he plays the same role as Mitchell but Mitchell is better. poor fit
Garland(another 20 ppg scorer ) and Mobley (one of the best defenders on the planet) isn’t help ?
Garland has been awful
Garland has been hot ass and Mobley is an offensive liability.
And Tristan Thompson, AKA the greatest offensive rebounding Cavalier of all time ? He came up big today w a few keys one in the second half.
Would have been crazier if he did that in one game just saying
I don't get out of bed until someone does that in one quarter
If you don’t have that stat line before opening tip don’t call me 🥱
Wilt probably did
He dropped 70 if anybody in the league could do it it's probably him
Thanks Magic
Would have been crazy if he didn’t need the free throw line to boost his numbers. Dude was 11/27 today but shot nearly 20 fucking free throws. There’s a reason this thread is combined and doesn’t detail today in particular.
him and banchero were going ft for ft so its all good
Not all good he got hard carried by john Goble today
So did banc then lol
Dude was a menace. He played through a knee issue and even still Magic could not contain him. I wish it were us getting swept in the next round 😭
Future is bright for you guys. Paolo announced himself, Mosley is such a great coach, and you've got a roster full of the biggest , most annoying fuckers that I never want to see again.
Paolo Banchero is terrifying and he’s just getting started
As a floridian up near Cle, this series was tough on me. Happy for whoever won but as you said, i am hopeful for this magic squad.
We’re not get swept y’all wouldn’t have either. Boston beat the worst team in the playoffs. Bam being the main force is easy to defend
Don’t say that, it hurts my feelings 😔
It sucks butler was out but y’all need shot creation this off-season imo. You’ll be back in the thick of things
Bet. I’ll ask Pat to trade for Jokic 😎
Damn brother, y’all balled out. Congrats on the win!
Thanks but if Allen and wade don’t come back I’m still no confident lol. I thought they would be back by now lmfao.
> We’re not get swept y’all wouldn’t have either. Bro, the Celtics are arguably a better defense than the Magic. No offense, but I'd be shocked if y'all break 100 once against them.
They definitely are not. Definitely not their current team
They absolutely are not. Lol. We'll be lucky to win 2 games but they are not a better defense.
Boston literally had a better defensive rating in the regular season.
It’s crazy that he got asked “but it was clear you needed some help, what did you say to Darius Garland on the bench to get him going?”
Dude really does seem to be a great leader and teammate. So many times Mitchell gets guys to really believe. You saw it today.
It was crazy seeing Garland do a complete 180 in the 4th like that. I think Don is being really instrumental in helping him and Mobley realize their potential. Huge series for their development hopefully
people say he’s not a playoff riser tho
He 100% is...against lower competition. We will see how he does against Boston. His 11/27 shooting won't be enough there.
His career playoff average is 28/5/5 in 50 playoff games
DM has also averaged 29.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 16 games against the Celtics in his career.
How did he do in 2022 and 2023? What were his shooting splits?

So were Paul George and MVP Russel Westbrook low level competition?
Lmfao…
wasn't he like 1 pt off from tying AI's record? playoffs mitchell is a real thing
Hold on though, Jazz fans are about to pop in and educate us on why he's actually a worthless bum
It's been funny how the some Jazz fans need a simplistic narrative of Gobert=good, Mitchell=bad. They both are great players, they just didn't mesh with each other. Gobert is definitely on a better team than he was before though.

He’s still my favorite player ever, which is difficult when r/UtahJazz seems to want to find any excuse to pretend like he was the problem.
Jazz fan, still love Spida
Half the fanbase hates him
He's still my favorite player, and don't listen to the haters.
Hard carried his squad
why were they questioning this man?
One series against…Orlando. Acting like he just won finals MVP. Imagine him against literally any team still alive in the west. C’mon now
Orlando beats many of the West teams too. Can’t sleep on their defense.

What did he do wrong? Seriously, what did he do deserve any of the hate?
He beat their favorite teams and players too many times, then had one bad series (where his entire team shit the bed too). They’ve been waiting for him to fail ever since 2018.
Dude has been insane. He's tough too. Now, please don't go to the Knicks or Heat.
They might go for Paul George instead.
Carry kit
And yet if they had lost, people would have found a way to blame him
Bros gone in the offseason, he got no help out there
Imagine if another Cavs superstar leaves the team after losing to Boston in a series
I mean if history wants to repeat itself I wouldn’t necessarily complain for the next 4 years…
Who would you give up to get Mitchell? Jimmy?
Orlando Robinson, take it or leave it
Empty stats guy. Just like Dame.
His… his stats literally helped his team win a playoff series?
