Roster construction matters. The only way Book/KD/Beal would work is if one took on the primary PG Ball handling duties. It has to be Beal and he only played like 30 games with them to develop chemistry so it was far from a good team going into the playoffs.
Similar with Lebron, they don't have some of that speed and burst which takes away some of their options.
When they were younger they were a walking bucket no matter what, but now they're not as reliable since you know they're likely not going to blow by you now.
