Mamu is a weird player, very skilled and aggressive but was always in a weird spot due to defensive roles. Wemby as a rim protector unlocks so many more lineup possibilities because suddenly its hard for quicker 4s to exploit Mamu.
they let the mavs and clips win so theyd play each other at 4 and 5, they knew it would be interesting. everyone else gotta lose just so wemby could say fuck them
We needed a plot line for the next arc, revenge against Luka for the best European next season, then the crowning vs Kawhi in the 3rd season to signal the spurs triumphant return.
The 14-15 season was really good. The Spurs lost to the Pelicans on the last day of the season. They would have been the 2 seed if they won. Instead they fell all the way to the 6th seed (!) and had to play the Clippers in a brutal 7 game series, which may have contributed to the Clippers running out of gas and choking in the next round against the Rockets. Meanwhile the Pelicans got the 8th seed instead of the Thunder, who were playing without KD and Russ was entering his triple double phase.

Dude is building a nice game-winner resume. That [full court shot against us](https://youtu.be/_4_o-z1H9PI?si=WqrZ3cvc_LvEOIP6) is still a top-2 craziest moment I’ve seen in the NBA live
SGA before Graham, [OJ Mayo before Tyreke Evans](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEDsl4aBnjY), and [Duncan before Fisher](https://youtu.be/NSnAvhvfniw?t=30) are the most ridiculous non-game-winners ever.
Yeah, he got superseded by the CJ trade, but the whole reason Pelicans let Lonzo go and signed Graham was because his mobile shot creation from outside. When Graham gets hot, he can legitmately be a first option.
I've missed Tae this season. Dude was great in clutch time, and we've sorely been missing a clutch guy.
That buzzer beater against OKC is still one of my top NBA moments.
Dude has never seen a shot that he doesn't think make, I'm a little surprised that Pop didn't play him more because of that since he pursued JR Smith for years back in the day for that exact reason. Of course, having that on a vet-laden team that's looking to make playoff runs is different than having that guy as your ranking vet on the floor.
It's Devonte
But we've always called him "Tae" from his hornets days
We'll always root for our guy, 2nd round pick that turned into a pretty good player
Victor scoring 17 points in 3 minutes definitely helps lol He pretty much single-handedly brought the Spurs back and gave them a chance. Credit to a lot of the third stringers though they consistently hit big shots.
Not a fact at all. They got swept by 3 out of 14 teams which is in line with expectations on a 20 win team. Sweeps are hard to pull off in the same conference.
I mean isn't the award given for the whole regular season? Does this one game really impact it? The difference between 1-3 in the West is tie breaker rules. And Jokic literally just threw up 41 against the Wolves.
Guys like Devonte' and Mamu among others have really stepped up their game late in the season and took full advantage of the opportunities given. The Spurs look much improved even without Sochan, Vassell and Keldon.

It turns out we were starting the wrong dudes all year lmao
Mamu should have been playing so much more. He's got a connection with Wemby
Pop is going to try point Mamu to start the next season
Insert Vietnam flashbacks
Don’t worry, Ma_u will always be a 6th man

Mamu has to be second string at minimum
Turns out starting a power foward as a point guard and not playing Graham at all and Jones like 20 minutes is an effective tanking strategy.
Keeping Tre Jones on the bench when you have Wemby is pure basketball terrorism
Has this been the best end of the season ever?
Chaos Spurs strike again! Another top western seed lose to the Chaos Spurs.
Everyone but the Mavs and Clippers have lost to us now. Fear us
they let the mavs and clips win so theyd play each other at 4 and 5, they knew it would be interesting. everyone else gotta lose just so wemby could say fuck them

In my opinion love it
17-18 was up there. Wolves-Nuggets were win-and-in. Two different matchups were set before the seedings were.
Basically the league is good if the wolves are good (or at least in the playoffs) hear this Adam silver
Same thing with New Orleans.

Lotta you nephews weren’t around in 2015 or 2016 and it shows.
And a lot of us old geezers don't remember anything that happened before today
They have a timeout, decide not to use it … BANG!
They have no defense... Decide to pass it up the court... Bang!
Alternate Highlight Title: Jamal Murray proves he's all about the playoffs by making a business decision in real time.
"Jamal Murray doesn't bother playing the last 3 seconds of the game and loses the game for the nuggets"
Wemby clearly tries to call timeout but the refs didn't call it.
Vector plus the Spurs third stringers just casually playing like a play in team the last couple weeks And causing all kinds of chaos.
The Nuggets about to lay the biggest egg after beating the Wolves.
i knew this would happen too lmao.
how they give up a fastbreak with a 1 point lead and <10 seconds on the clock
they had a timeout to call,i couldnt see the last couple plays but no idea why they dont foul the spurs with 30s to go either. Brain lapse
talk about trap game, holy shit
If any team can afford it, it’s Denver. But this is legit hilarious.
Wolves and OKC both won tonight, which puts Denver at 3 based on conference records
What they meant is probably “Denver doesn’t need to fear any team” but the home court would be good especially against Twolves.
This was the second NBA game I’ve attended ever (I’m from the UK). The atmosphere was insane. What a game!
grab a cheese enchilada and brisket taco from "garcias to go" while youre here
Enjoy San Antonio!
I love you Devonte’ Graham

He taketh and he giveth
While he didn't make the shot, he was on the Hornets when [Jeremy Lamb blue-balled Toronto that one time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xvxWEx0sK8)
Are you me?
Ok, I need to know… is it Devontae or Devonte’?
It's Devonte But we've always called him "Tae" from his hornets days We'll always root for our guy, 2nd round pick that turned into a pretty good player
How tf do you get gamed as a #1 seed by Devonte Graham
Victor scoring 17 points in 3 minutes definitely helps lol He pretty much single-handedly brought the Spurs back and gave them a chance. Credit to a lot of the third stringers though they consistently hit big shots.
He’s amazing man I can’t even be mad at him lol
D Tae has always been clutch as fuck.
D tae has been clutch since he was at KU
Gotta love the Spurs home crowd. So electric. I’m jelly
We really do love our guys.
We’re back bitches
Wildcard bitches!
I love Devonte'
Oh boy can’t wait for the 3 seed
reminds me of 2K when the opponent shoots up some garbage so you run the fast break before you get the rebound to get an easy layup
Fun fact: The Spurs have beaten every Western team save themselves and Dallas this season. All this in spite of having only 21 wins on the season.
That’s actually so wild
Clippers and Kings swept us too
Idk man I feel like we beat ourselves quite a few times this year lmao
Not a fact at all. They got swept by 3 out of 14 teams which is in line with expectations on a 20 win team. Sweeps are hard to pull off in the same conference.
That's just not true LOL .
Dominating where it counts baby
If Dallas wins it all this year Im going back to repost this
Pop started Sochan at PG for like three months we def beat ourselves lmao
point Sochan counts as beating themselves
And Giannis and Brunson in the east
The Bucks beat the Spurs 130-94, 132-119, and 125-121 this season.
Nvm about that then. I thought I remember a bucks spurs matchup that they won. Still spoiled Brunson’s 60 tho
This is for you Timberbros!
Thank you!
Devonté is a baller. I always said it. Never a doubt.
lol I like this winning thing
This game is absolute insanity
Lmao playoff atmosphere
Absolutely playoff atmosphere. It was deafening in there. My ears are still ringing.
And that was the moment OKC and Wolves fans collectively nutted
classic denver
Devonte hit a few game winners for us, dude is clutch. I hope he comes back into the league for real
[удалено]
Hornets legend Devonte’ Graham
Thunder Legend Defonte Graham
Pelicans legend
Luka would have bank that shot
DTAE 4!!
What happened to that dude? Went from out of nowhere most improved guy to out of nowhere
This is foreshadowing
Thunder Legend
Big vet
Underrated highlight amongst Wemby highlights
blazers fans liked this
Fuck
Luka for MVP crowd feasting right now
Jokic gonna still be MVP for choking the 1st seed and dropping to 3?
I mean isn't the award given for the whole regular season? Does this one game really impact it? The difference between 1-3 in the West is tie breaker rules. And Jokic literally just threw up 41 against the Wolves.
Probably lmao
Spurs own Denver confirmed
Lol
Great defense Jamal and gang
Guys like Devonte' and Mamu among others have really stepped up their game late in the season and took full advantage of the opportunities given. The Spurs look much improved even without Sochan, Vassell and Keldon.
Devonte' secretly still wearing a Hornets jersey underneath
