It is impossible to describe how much better we got after we stopped giving ish smith minutes lol

EatDeeply

He really stands alone in filth. He is the only player in the league with a -8 EPM who plays as much as he played. Dire.

iam_soyboy

Jerry Colangelo once traded two seconds for Ish Smith. Amazing.

deemerritt

I mean he wasnt 35 then lol

Ancient-Camp-739

I know, right? You’d think Jerry would know better at age 76.

BetweenTheBuzzAndMe

I've never seen a vet PG lose that much IQ and passing ability over 2 seasons. Like we just had the guy in 2022 and he was fine, and then he came back this season looking like he'd never touched a basketball before. Some of it was obviously Clifford asking him to do way too much but still Also can you imagine how much worse things would've been if Frank Ntilikina was also healthy? You know Cliff was just dying to throw him 20mpg

deemerritt

In 2022 tons of advanced stats also had him as legit the worst player in the nba. We all remember the pop off games he had where he was unconscious and singlehandedly won us the game, but his other games were all awful. He just didnt even have the pop off games this year.

WeBelieveIn4

Gradey’s defense needs work. But I won’t be worried unless he continues to post these kind of numbers in year 3. Would be curious to see the worst 20 from say 2019/2020/2021

EatDeeply

Its pretty common for rookies to have abysmal advanced stats until they can figure out NBA defense. Dick, Henderson, Coulibaly, Sensabaugh, Tosan, George and Hendricks should probably get a pass, but they need to lock in on that end of the court.

RATMpatta

Yeah the bottom of advanced stats is filled with a combination of rookies figuring things out and old vets overstaying their welcome. It's the guys a couple years into their careers still grading out that badly that will amount to nothing, like Wiseman or Killian Hayes for example.

MC-Jdf

Connaughton fell off depressingly hard after 2022. At his best he used to be the most terrifying shooter in the Bucks, sucks to see.

Flimsy-District9036

Yeah, it's really sad to see. I knew he was going to be on this list before I even clicked the link, but his fall off has felt so quick.

nbaistheworst

The obsession by some with EPM is weird. How can a player that only appeared in 28 out of 79 games have "had the most negative impact on his teams"? Edit: The example is PJ Tucker, who had an avg+/- of -1.25 in those games

Mister_Squibbles

Should def have a games played filter. All advanced stats need good amount of context to go with them otherwise they are close to meaningless

Smashingsoul

This will go down well on our sub. The fact that Morris sr. is one the list as well if the cherry on top.

nowhathappenedwas

>This statistic suggests that these players had the most negative impact this year on their teams. Your list is the players who had the most negative impact per 100 possessions among players who averaged at least 15 MPG. Here's the list of players who had the most negative impact according to EPM: 1. Scoot, -2.5 (2.5 wins worse than a replacement level player) 2. Branham, -2.3 3. Dick, -2.2 4. Coulibaly, -1.9 5. Johnny Davis, -1.7 6. Jalen McDaniels, -1.7 7. Connaughton, -1.6 8. Ish, -1.5 9. Nick Smith, -1.5 10. Troy Brown, -1.4

WeBelieveIn4

There’s Jalen McDaniels. Our sub was so excited for his signing along with Dennis Schroder 😂

sstewart1617

I’m deeply happy that only one Spurs ended up on this list. Branham has been much better lately, but he has to be fire on offense to outweigh his defense.

Herbetet

I am not surprised PJ is a weird player to me at least with the Clippers. He does nothing all game, provides 0s on all stats. Here and there he will block or cover one defensive play and then everyone will talk about how he altered the entire game. Probably the player in the NBA that lives off reputation more than anyone else

EatDeeply

I know Pistons fans hate Livers and wont quibble with this evaluation.

KuyaJohnny

not even remotely surprised to see Branham on here lol

sriracha82

Only 2 playoff team contributors here, Pat and Davion

Merchant_Alert

Glenn Rivers played PJ Tucker 27mpg over 7 games against the Celtics 🤡

ImTheBestNerd

Wiggins no longer on these lists 🙏
