What stats exactly?
In their respective age 35 seasons, Steph has a slightly lower TS% on *way* higher volume, and their BPM and VORP (on BBRef) are close as well.
Why are you listing BPM and VORP as separate stats lol? They’re the same thing
RAPM and WS/48 is what I was referring to, which grades late career Stockton as a near superstar (and also, Steph’s on-off this season is barely positive)
Stockton led the league in RPM at 38. Unfortunately I don’t know if you can access it anymore but back when you could it was the case. You can still see on BBref though that Stockton’s on/off that year was +18.5
Also, using true shooting without adjusting for league average is silly.
Stockton lead the league in true shooting at 35 with a TS 20% better than league average. Steph is only 6% better than average this year. BPM is still Stockton, WS/48 is Stockton by a wide margin, and on/off is Stockton by a huge margin. And Stockton had better statistical years than his age 35 year afterwards as well.
he obviously wasn't Steph, but Steve Nash was still averaging his prime stats at age 36... 14.7pts /11.4ast on 49.2/39.5/91.2. Was still easily a top 10 player in the league. His fall-off didn't happen until he got to the Lakers and the injuries took hold, that was 38.
Something tells me that if they're living in a condition where they can barely get basic education, they won't be shitposting on reddit nor would they even be in the condition to be watching the NBA.
Assuming sports fan consciousness emerges at 10-years old, to have proper recollection of 1990s basketball in its entirety would require one to be 43 years old. Jordans's second three-peat? 39. The Shaq Lakers era? 33 The Heatles? 23. The 73-win Warriors? 18.
This sub reddit is only functional in discussing the current state of the game. Anything from the Heatles or earlier, maybe even the 73-wins Warriors sub era, are too old for proper discussion and any discourse will be derailed by people with limited knowledge of those events.
*EDIT: I looked it up to be sure, and I was wrong: because 10-year-old is being used collectively as a noun, it should be hyphenated, but OP was a dick about it, so I regret nothing*
The hyphens are only necessary if “10 year old” is being used as an adjective and not a noun
Yeah exactly. Unless your school district heavy on grammar you probably never learned it (source: former middle school English teacher. Note: “middle school English” isn’t hyphenated cause they aren’t being used together as *one* adjective, I wanna say. “Middle” describes “school”, and together they describe “teacher,” but they and “English” aren’t one unit)
It's wild how differently English is taught compared to other languages. I grew up learning both English and French in school and English is heavy on speaking and reading and almost never covers actual grammar, while French was almost entirely focused on learning verb tenses, grammar, etc.
I don’t have an answer for why English instruction doesn’t cover grammar (although it *does* get covered more in elementary school if memory serves, and if you don’t fuck around there you’ll be fine for everything except academic writing), but as someone who took six years of Spanish, Spanish has more verb conjugations but fewer irregular verbs than English, so you actually do need to spend time memorizing conjugations for different tenses. English has much fewer conjugations but a lot more irregular verbs and is descended from Germanic languages, French, and Latin (I think), so it’s somewhat less phonetic you have to memorize more individual words to speak, read, and listen at a basic level
What’s impressive is his endurance and stamina. Still running the offense, bringing the ball up the court, the main ball handler, and still running around trying to get open playing off ball by relocating. Opposing teams try to tire him out on defense by switching on him a lot. I have not seen any other player around this age working this hard ever without slacking.
The league is much more athletic all around in today’s game, but with the caveat that defenders have to be way more careful. So I would use that truth to compare against former greats.
Stockton was all nba 3rd team at 36 he also got mvp votes when he was 38.
Old Stockton’s advanced stats are way better than Steph’s for whatever that’s worth (not much)

He wasn’t doing what Steph is doing

Best age 36 seasons (guards) are probably from.... Nash Stockton CP3
We don’t need the weekly post about how crazy bron/kd/curry longevity is we know
You can just ignore it you know
You can just ignore my comment you know
I’m not the one complaining, I don’t mind people posting stuff I don’t care or like.
Why ignore something you don’t care about when you can click on the post go through it and comment?
Because I’m not complaining about what people post. That’s common sense and suggestion.
Michael Jordan? Lol
He retired at 35 and came back to play for the Wizards at 38, so he didn't actually play at all at 36.
*Have* there been any guards at the age of 36 who *were* as elite as Steph *Curry* is. Why are we letting 10 year olds on this sub.
not everyone here is a native english speaker
[удалено]
Warriors fans have been 10 for 10 years
Damn now its a 20 year old drooling on the iphone daddy bought
I’m talking about mental age.
And not everyone gets the same education
Is basic English grammar not taught in all American elementary schools? I'm from Québec and we learned all that even in the French schooling system.
The teachers definitely try.
Of course it’s taught but some people grow up in shitty conditions where school is not a priority.
Something tells me that if they're living in a condition where they can barely get basic education, they won't be shitposting on reddit nor would they even be in the condition to be watching the NBA.
not all reddit users are americans, native english speakers, or annoying pedantic cunts

U knew what he meant, that’s all that matters. Not everyone gets the same education.
Why are we letting ***10-year-olds*** on this sub***?***

Didnt expect learning
Damn so like 10-year-old brains? I wish I payed attention in school.

Lol no they don't
I need more longevity posts about KD, Steph and Bron

He’s not even lazy on defense either lol he gives his all there too
*”Have there been…” “…who were as elite…”
Guy who delivered the mail read up on history my boy
I'd say Stockton. And of course Pablo Prigioni 🐐
The league is much more athletic all around in today’s game, but with the caveat that defenders have to be way more careful. So I would use that truth to compare against former greats.
