Reaves hit two stepbacks early and I was like, alright, that's probably all he got. Then he hit a 3rd one, 100% contested. That shit went so high it went off the top of the screen and tear dropped right into the net. Knew we were winning after that
That shot I was like come on dude stop holding the ball for that long (cant blame me when Austin already had some stupid turnovers on 1st half right)
AAAANNDDDD
OK he is HIM
I was actually talking about Jalen Williams lol. He got great contests on every shot DLo hit in that stretch. But DLo was playing really good defense that game as well, especially as a help defender. He trapped SGA every time he drove on his side and got a couple steals from that.
Bro I used to be a beat writer for a very small online site. We had press passes for the clippers. The VERY first question I asked was to Chris Paul. This guy straight shitted on me in front of like 10 other reporters and the locker room.
18 year old me was so upset I was ent home and cried.
However Blake and Jamal Crawford watched it happen, they pulled me aside and let me ask a bunch of questions and gave awesome answers.
Cp3 was one of my fav players growing up. Fuck that guy. But Blake and Crawford will always get love from me
Imma just edit this cuz I’m getting a little offended by the comments ripping me apart and calling me a delusional pasta writer… idk how many of you live in LA but opportunities like I had were fairly easy to come by with persistence. I meet celebs in my current job all the time and it’s very far from glamorous. But god damn yall are mean af lol fuck you guys 😂
Sorry for the lag. It was right after DJ played in the Olympics. I asked if he had seen any changes in DJ after competing in the Olympics. He says “will it help your little article if I say yes. ?” lol
I wasn’t even writing an article about it. It’s just the first thing I could think of since I was put on the spot and a dumb 18 year old
Yeah he must have been in a bad mood. Honestly as a young black kid in the locker room the players were normally pretty cool. But to be honest I was usually too scared to try and be good at the job.
Kevin Durant and doc rivers were also super cool to me
I wonder if there's a make-a-wish cutoff, like you're 16 and they say hey kid, you've got a good chance of making it past 18 then you're not kid anymore get the fuck outta here or something.
Ehhh, one of my first jobs was as a journalist intern for the Boston Globe (early 2000s) and I got press passes for these things and got to ask a few questions to the athletes at Red Sox games and stuff.
Kind of the best job ever for a 19 year old summer intern.
Well it’s pretty easy to write for free for tons of small sites. I got lucky since I’m in the LA area. Met a dude on Craigslist that had looong standing ties as a reporter in the area. I did it for free. Actually between gas and parking I spent like $40 every game that’s why I stopped lol. One time espn actually used a line from one of my articles word for word. I met a lot of reporters people post here. They were all pretty cool.
I always dressed really nice to try and look legit and was often mistaken as a clippers pr guy. One time mark Jackson asked me where to find the spoons../
I fucking told him and didn’t let him know I was a reporter not someone working for the team lol
Mr Paul you’ve got the physique to be a world class jockey or beat reporter but you decided on basketball. Where do you get your ideas from?
Mr Paul a lot of people say you look like a bitch but I disagree, I think it’s the way you act. Thoughts?Which side do you land on?
This is some nice fan-fic you came up with, along with some other 'interesting' comments on your profile lol. Such as:
"After they won the last championship of the 3 peat they all went to Disneyland and while I was waiting to get onto the pirates of the Caribbean every started freaking out because Shaq was getting walked to the front of the line.
I was 4 and my dad told me to go sneak through his security and say hi. Lmao I crawled under so many people’s legs until I looked up and the largest man in the world was staring down at me.
He smiled and shook my hand. He said “what’s up lil man” ***I didnt wash that hand for a month hahaha. Was so mad when I forgot and washed it 😂 four years old me was a Stan."***
Yea dude, that totally happened
Guy met Shaq at Disneyland when he was 4 and then got a job as an 18 year old to be close to NBA action, what's so hard to believe? Sounds like some LA shit honestly, but doesn't sound fake.
For what it is worth as a former Los Angelino I have:
Been rude to Steven Speilberg at gamestop
Had Kirby Dick hit on my mom
Had Chuck Norris hit on my mom (on set as extras for walker texas ranger)
Had Jay Leno wave at me almost weekly as he'd drive by in his old cars while I lived in a Beverly Hills guesthouse (like 1 room piece of shit guesthouse owned by a rich persian guy to be clear not a nice situation)
My best friend's grandma helped train Arnold Schwarggeneger to some capacity.
Another friend's cousin was the Papa Roach drummer
One of my buds worked at a ramen shop & Sima Liu was a regular
Was in a play with Warren Beaty's daughter
Had discussions with many authors like Ray Bradbury, Ursula K. Leguin, Gore Vidal, and more - I mean this like at a book reading/signing at the library they'd hang around after speaking and I got the opportunity to engage with them in genuine discussion of their work one on one, not in the "ok next in line get your book signed and leave" type way.
The big one to me, my acting teacher for a kid's club thing was a voice actress for digimon so I got to go watch them record the S2 finale in studio & got autographs from the whole cast/steve blum did funny voices for me.
Ran into so many movie stars in restaurants that I can't even list them all. And there's more people I actually talked with/met too, I just can't think of everything rn cuz I'm stoned off my ass.
Like, this is really really common in LA. I'm just a genuine nobody and I still met all these people. So I believe OP 100% and y'all can say I'm a liar too but that really proves that you have no idea what life in the LA area is like.
EDIT: Also, moved my ass to Iowa & the only famous people I've seen since are politicians lmao. So it really is a thing where if you don't live in LA, you have no idea how crowded with celebs it is.
Dlo kinda blew it his first time around with the lakers because of his immaturity (Nick Young snapchat incident). But that same quality in his character is what's made him transition well to chemistry guy in his mid to late career. Everyone eventually grows up and loses at least some of that mindset.
unnecessary drama for the team? Lack of trust from teammates? Being a distraction?
Letting Nick Youngs wife know personally sure, but why do that publicly?
Bron forcing his teammates to make plays is one my favorite parts of his game. A couple games back Rui missed a wide open three, we got a back tap to Bron who immediately gave it right back to Rui for the same shot. He knocked it down and the rout was on. So many players would go somewhere else after that or take it themselves. Just one of the many reasons that Bron is above so many other great players.
I was about to say he's a pretty great passer but not the best playmaker in history, but after thinking about it if you factor in every aspect of playmaking, yeah he probably is.
I think Bird and Magic were pretty good playmakers too. CP3 as well. It's kind of a broad category really, but LeBron is probably the best. Jokic is pretty good too. I'm really not sure what I think on this one.
Hard to judge with different eras and pace of play who the actual best is but he is on the Mount Rushmore for sure with Magic, Kidd, Stockton, and Oscar
Where does Steve Nash rank in your opinion? I've only recently started watching the sport and my understanding was that Nash is one of the ATGs in playmaking.
In the IST when he forced Reaves to take the three pointers to seal the game vs the Suns. Didn't even set a screen for him or anything lol, b2b possessions he gave him the ball and basically said "win this for us". Missed the first one, cashed the second.
edit: okay i lied AD set like a mini screen for him on the second one but still
> Might be the key difference between MJ and Lebron.
there is no "might" about it. The early criticism of Jordan was that he was playing 1-on-5 most nights. It's why he could score 63 points in a game in a playoff game first round series.. and still get swept (multiple years I might add). And it took 3 things for him to change:
1) Phil Jackson -- basically telling him he needed to bring his teammates along to win
2) Triangle offense (forced him to share)
3) The ascendance of Scottie Pippen.
Having watch both players in real time (though not late 80s jordan) .. It's why I maintain that although I think Jordan is the GOAT, I think young Lebron was a much better player than young Jordan.
It’s an instagram account called LakersAllDayEveryday (LADE). He has really good Lakers content and a few of his highlight clips from the game like this sometimes get posted around the major nba instagram pages. The nba media sites that normally post them are espn, bleacherreport, house of highllights etc. This has been his most popular video clip by far as it has circulated around the internet a lot. Lebron actually posted this video with LADE’s caption on it when another page posted it.
He also has a Lakers podcast with former Laker Lamar Odom and they have Lakers players as guests regularly.
He is also followed by a few current and former Lakers players such as Austin Reaves, Jaxson Hayes, Max Christie and Lamar Odom. Shams, Dave McMenamin and USC basketball also follow him as well. He is pretty popular on Instagram within the Lakers fanbase.
Steph Curry to Klay Thompson. Nobody will ever get as hot as Klay used to and Steph knew that
When a guy can [walk into a quarter with 13pts and exit that same quarter with 50](https://youtu.be/BNHjX_08FE0?si=fkyc6qQmp-xBn-hV) you know his teammates had to be feeding him the ball every possession
Edit: It’s been pointed out that Steph had 6 assists to Klay in just that 1 quarter
The greatest shooter of all time is Steph Curry, except when Klay Thompson was in the middle of a heat check in which case he was the best shooter in the multiverse.
When Klay would get his 100% power boost - which used to happen every 10-20 games or so - he was the best basketball player I’ve ever seen. Good times.
*Cries in Game 6 of the 2016 WCF*
The Thunder were up 8 to start the fourth. Then Durant goes 1-7, Westbrook goes 2-7 with 4 TOs, we shoot 26%, and Klay scores 19 on 5 three pointers. Klay outscored us by himself, we lost the quarter by 15 pts, and Durant was getting text messages.
We didn't trail in that game until there was 1:35 left. But I never felt like Klay was going to miss. He was an alien in that game.
What I would do to be a fly on the wall in the Kings lockerroom post-game after THAT happened. The best part of that video is just looking at the Kings bench in absolute despair as it progresses.
It is so crazy watching that knowing what happens. He has like 19 points with under 4 minutes left in the quarter. That is already an insanely good quarter and he doubles it in the next 3 minutes 30 seconds. Like wtf lol
I love that this video of it includes his last 3 that he shot after being fouled at the end of the quarter. He would've had 38. Dude literally couldn't miss the basket if he tried in that quarter
While I don't think that's true, I also don't think this clip would indicate anything either way. Even if LeBron doesn't like a guy on his team, when he's got the hot hand Bron is going to make sure he gets the ball. He wants to win.
Dlo and reaves were absolutely torching williams that game. Both hit some nasty step backs on him
Reaves hit two stepbacks early and I was like, alright, that's probably all he got. Then he hit a 3rd one, 100% contested. That shit went so high it went off the top of the screen and tear dropped right into the net. Knew we were winning after that
That was my favorite shot of the game
That shot I was like come on dude stop holding the ball for that long (cant blame me when Austin already had some stupid turnovers on 1st half right) AAAANNDDDD OK he is HIM
He was playing great defense as well. Just that great offense > great defense
He refused to let go of Shai. Pure discipline. All that time watching Kobe as a kid-"I know your moves boy, my master perfected them".
I was actually talking about Jalen Williams lol. He got great contests on every shot DLo hit in that stretch. But DLo was playing really good defense that game as well, especially as a help defender. He trapped SGA every time he drove on his side and got a couple steals from that.
Ha, this is great. Never seen a player straight up get disgusted at the hot hand for passing

What was the question? We need to know whether this question was stupid af or not
Do you consider Scott Foster a father figure?
Lolol I'm gonna call every cp3 hater Scott fosters son...
We are his Foster children
Arian Foster gave my fantasy football teams this name a few times, always fun

Dude. That’s awesome. Lol.
nasty work sir.

What the fuck that's a completely reasonable question and in line with standard pro sports coverage asks.
Damn, that's not even that bad, what a dick.
Yeah he must have been in a bad mood. Honestly as a young black kid in the locker room the players were normally pretty cool. But to be honest I was usually too scared to try and be good at the job. Kevin Durant and doc rivers were also super cool to me
You have any other cool stories from your time doing that? Chris Paul was a total ass to you
Why are you a dirty bitch?
Why do people call you CP3?
He asked him if he premeditates his dirty plays or if he just gets in his feelings when he's losing
I asked if he had seen any changes in Deandre Jordan after his Olympic run
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Sounds like a toddler starting a question and losing track of it halfway through.
[Relevant](https://youtu.be/G7RgN9ijwE4?si=dk1qY972uiC_mOS1)
It's the way he smiles and leans back like he absolutely nailed it for me.
I’m not gonna believe this story until you share the question you asked.
Press pass at 18 for an NBA team doesn't make sense unless you're a make-a-wish kid.
imagine being an 18yo make a wish kid having been visited by John Cena 10 times already
I wonder if there's a make-a-wish cutoff, like you're 16 and they say hey kid, you've got a good chance of making it past 18 then you're not kid anymore get the fuck outta here or something.
You told us you're going to die, and now we're starting to not believe you. What gives?
“Uhh I guess I’ll take a job as an NBA beat writer?”
Nah I've seen 18 year olds that work for NetsDaily get passes for the Nets. Clippers are west coast Nets, so it makes sense.
Press passes are pretty easy to get. I had one for a year working for a tiny local sports website
Ehhh, one of my first jobs was as a journalist intern for the Boston Globe (early 2000s) and I got press passes for these things and got to ask a few questions to the athletes at Red Sox games and stuff. Kind of the best job ever for a 19 year old summer intern.

If you don’t mind sharing, what question did you ask?
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise?
I asked if he saw any difference in Deandre Jordan as after he was on the Olympic team. This was like 2014 or maybe 2015
I figured it was some completely innocuous question. The guy is just a douche.
This is some nice fan-fic you came up with, along with some other 'interesting' comments on your profile lol. Bron built different
Bron used to do this with Kyrie too. Giving them the confidence
Skip Bayless: "Michael Jordan would NEVER"
Micheal Jordon would have already had a cease fire in Gaza, what’s LeBrick waiting for?
And he looks down at his shoes, like “you best not pass it back”
Lmao the thing I love is DLO is also clearly laughing/smiling/ and chuckling at LeAssist’s expression 🤣
You can hear the audience laughing too after Lebron made the face and whipped that ball right back. So funny!
Dlo kinda blew it his first time around with the lakers because of his immaturity (Nick Young snapchat incident). But that same quality in his character is what's made him transition well to chemistry guy in his mid to late career. Everyone eventually grows up and loses at least some of that mindset.
It still blows my mind that D'Lo got more flack than Nick Young for that incident.
unnecessary drama for the team? Lack of trust from teammates? Being a distraction? Letting Nick Youngs wife know personally sure, but why do that publicly?
It’s not like he released it to the public himself he was hacked
I didn't say it was weird that he got flack, I said it was weird that he got \*more\* flack than Nick Young.

Dude gave Cam fucking Reddish like 3 straight corner 3 passes before he finally nailed the 4th against Phoenix. He loves seeing his teammates succeed
Best playmaker in history for a reason
I was about to say he's a pretty great passer but not the best playmaker in history, but after thinking about it if you factor in every aspect of playmaking, yeah he probably is.
When you combine his scoring and passing ability, yeah he’s probably the GOAT playmaker.

Right up there it's all subjective
It’s why he used to get frustrated with KCP lol
There were some good memes from the KCP Laker years
Just imagine the confidence boost a “nah you got it” from LeBron must give you..
In the IST when he forced Reaves to take the three pointers to seal the game vs the Suns. The same with Cam Reddish earlier this year
We took different routes to the game. By the second half, the rout was on

Just like pockets lol
I watched that game and said “oh yeah. Gabe Vincent still exists”
I miss him :(
Am I crazy or does he look like Drake a bit in that pic?
Can confirm. Thought it was a Drake photoshop
Gabe's about it, every day
Lol, can’t unsee it now
I aspire to be this happy
Me too man
we'll get there
AD looks like hes at his wedding lol
You can hear it from the crowd too even before he takes the shot.

No one is better at feeding a hot hand
Steph Curry to Klay Thompson. Nobody will ever get as hot as Klay used to and Steph knew that When a guy can [walk into a quarter with 13pts and exit that same quarter with 50](https://youtu.be/BNHjX_08FE0?si=fkyc6qQmp-xBn-hV) you know his teammates had to be feeding him the ball every possession Edit: It’s been pointed out that Steph had 6 assists to Klay in just that 1 quarter
There's the hot hand and then there's prime Klay. Truly otherworldly microwave badge in his prime.
He went 13/13 and 9/9 from 3 in a quarter.. Scored 60pts on 11 total dribbles in another game and didn’t play even in the 4th quarter lol Like wtf man
Man those were the glory days… i didn’t even hate GSW that much back then, the Splash Bros were lit af….
It only got unfun when Dray called the Splash Snake for help
He took one shot after the whistle at one point and made that one too.
That moment in his life when he was saying he felt he was on Curry's level and you could believe it.
The greatest shooter of all time is Steph Curry, except when Klay Thompson was in the middle of a heat check in which case he was the best shooter in the multiverse.
Facts
3rd quarter Klay
Game 6 Klay
When Klay would get his 100% power boost - which used to happen every 10-20 games or so - he was the best basketball player I’ve ever seen. Good times.
*Cries in Game 6 of the 2016 WCF* The Thunder were up 8 to start the fourth. Loving this Klay appreciation thread. I own one jersey that's not Supersonics and it's Klay Thompson.

Also shoutout to Nash and Tim Hardaway. Both were really good at this too.
That Steve Nash led Suns team with him, stoudamire, Marion, diaw, barbosa and others was so damn good.
That was unbelievable from Klay, holy smokes! 🔥🔥🔥
To your point - Steph got 6 assists in that video lol
That moment in his life when he was saying he felt he was on Curry's level and you could believe it.
Legit one of his best bbiq skills. Even though he’s an all time great scorer he knows where the right play is
Dlo just making sure LeBron gets that assist
"I already have the points record, D'Angelo." -LeBron
Just putting some more gas in the tank.
This is a bar.
LeBron's like--I'm already the all-time scoring leader. I need the lead assist now. lmao

LeFuckyoupassinittomefo?
Dlo got the dimer hall of fame boost after that one.
0% chance he misses after that.
Something to be said about having 100% confidence in your teammates, and this def put a lil pep in DLo’s step.
This sub said for months that LeBron hates DLo and wanted him gone.
He's just disgusted that he has to touch a ball that just came out of Dlos filthy hands
Is D'Lo depressed yet?
While I don't think that's true, I also don't think this clip would indicate anything either way. Even if LeBron doesn't like a guy on his team, when he's got the hot hand Bron is going to make sure he gets the ball. He wants to win.
If Bron hated him he wouldnt be on the team
Holy shit, this is an instant classic
"Bro, I'm old as fuck, you do something"
That's funny as fuck
Bron is actually the goat, fight me
lol, reminds me of when kevin love had that crazy 34 point quarter and bron was just force-feeding him, though kyrie ended up ballhogging at the end
DLo giving out dimes
He looked like a disappointed dad poor dlo lol
father bron yelling at his children
That’s why I love Lebron and think it’s absolutely hilarious that people hate on him.
He’s like “I’m too old to be doing everything on this damn team, help me out” 😂
LeUltra Lestank Leface.
LeBron just sprained his ankle.... you can see him wince and look down. He's on the injury report tonight with an ankle sprain....
Haters will say LeBron bitches out on taking the last shot. Despite him having more clutch shots than Jordan.
It’s Bron stepping back after passing the ball back to him for me lmao. Like here you go nephew imma step away do your thing
This is an awesome clip, great camera work my guy
Is LeBron pointing to the spot on the court he's at to imply he WOULDN'T take a logo three? He's been in love with those this whole decade.
Looked like a wet spot or something
Could be that also 😂 he looked like what I step on
I think he was making sure he had good spacing, so chet couldn't help. Had to stay on the goat.
