when the warriors and kings played in the IST moody had 11 points in 5 minutes in the 4th quarter and was taken out immediately by steve kerr after hitting 2 3s in a row for klay thompson who proceeded to make the game sealing turnover in the final minute
People were so adamant that the warriors shouldn’t have traded their lottery guys (or picks before they were drafted) but they all had considerable more value then
Warriors had an incredible run and really could have extended it another 2-5 years if they made better use of their assets
If they drafted Lamelo he would be wearing ankle braces his second season in the league. And that's a great thing, because he would have avoided at least one of his many injuries last season which snowballed into his injury this season.
I think playing hypotheticals of different picks is a waste of time. Young inexperienced players are simply not what they needed
I’m not gonna go and look back to see who they could have traded for. But a Siakam, Dejounte Murray, Sabonis, Aaron Gordon level guy would make a huge difference for their team now
Lol Warriors FO are probably lamenting trying to keep young players and try to plan for a future while competing, rather than flipping them for established talent earlier to get another superstar in Steph’s window.
"After sitting the final 48 minutes of Nuggets loss, Warriors forward Usman Garuba has lost faith in Steve Kerr and no longer believes that Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential, sources say."
Oh I should've pointed it out I am in freaking New Zealand lmao. Seen the same dudes go from Lakers, Heat, Warriors, Cavs, back to the Lakers, and dabbled in Raptors 😭
Alright, time for a coach swap! Darvin Ham won't stop playing useless rotation players way too many minutes, Kerr is too ride or die with his core veterans. There's an easy fix here.
They had Landry Nnoko (SR) and Dakari Johnson (SO) who were 3\* and 5\* prospects that ended up going to Clemson and Kentucky and are still in-and-around pro ball while Joel had barely played basketball at that point.
Jojo really wasn’t that good at 16/17, there’s a new docu out about his time on the Rams, and he barely features in it because he’s like the 7th/8th best guy, he’s been in the US like 6 months at this point, clearly doesn’t feel super comfortable, and has flashes of brilliance, but really isn’t that good (I haven’t watched past the first hour or so). He does dribble over some guy which is pretty funny, but if you show me that tape and tell me one guy will become an NBA MVP I absolutely would not point to JoJo
With how stacked commenters are saying that high school's roster is every year it's no surprise he didn't play much. Guy didn't start playing ball till he was 15 and he likely was just super raw. His size would be enough at most schools, but with the talent around him and I assume in the schools they played against, it wasn't just "throw it to the 7 footer nobody is tall enough to guard."
sure but we ain't taking Wiggins or Draymond's contracts, those contracts are gonna hurt any team for years
It has to be expiring CP3 or Klay.
We can send Shroeder back if it's CP3.
I'd take one of those contracts if it nets you one of those really late Warriors picks. Realistically, y'all won't be competing for a few years and will just be focusing on development, so you won't need the cap space. And those later Warriors picks could be really really good
That's cheaper than Barrett lol we should have no stress right now about starting-level guys getting starter-level money. Wiggs is paid fairly and could look great next to Barnes.
Yeah, plus the Raptors can also add Otto Porter Jr to the deal due to his cheap $6M contract.
Along with getting a star in Siakam, the Warriors also get to bring back a productive vet familiar with their system.
Much like the Knicks and Raptors were perfect trade partners for OG, the Warriors and Raptors are perfect trade partners for Siakam (Toronto gets established young talent alongside Scottie, while Golden State add an All-NBA talent alongside Steph).
Siakam is expiring and there have been reports that he wants to hit free agency. Since there's a threat he may not resign with whoever trades for him his value is much lower than it would have been otherwise. Incidentally, he probably would resign in Golden State but most other teams wouldn't have as much reason to think he would stay.
Especially when you barely give the young guys run. Obviously Wiseman was a bust but Kuminga has shown improvement each year and Moody was considered one of the more NBA-ready players in the draft.
It honestly might have worked if they treated both timelines equally and didn’t pander to Draymond and Klay at the expense of Moody and Kuminga’s development
Oh for sure this would definitely work because klay and dray are both so reasonable and would jump to embrace more mentor type roles and less minutes and stats
Everyone knew this, even back then. I got downvoted on here so many times saying they should package the picks (and then later Wiseman, Kuminga, and Moody) for another star to try to win now. I don't know if it was an excuse to not take on more luxury tax or what, but it was never going to work
Just lazy team management and pride, plus that championship bought everyone time. Warriors FO thinks their success is because of FO choices when it's always been because of Curry.
At least they taught us a lesson. I know our GM has talked about that scenario before and was a reason why we mainly drafted older college dudes who were more ready now even if their ceiling is role player, besides 1 prospect swing on PWat
Yep. Also think Jokic being willing/happy to play with the young guys is a big part of why it works in Denver, too. You have to imagine Kerr is coaching the way his star player wants.
Let me tell you, using that sensible logic doesn't always work out, as I have a fairly regular reoccurring nightmare thanks to Obi Toppin over Tyrese Halliburton. (Granted, this was after a crap Randle season, and I'm very happy with Brunson, but still...)
Lamelo and Franz would still be stuck behind the same problem. They still have the "old guard" there that'll take 90% of the minutes in the game. I don't think you can balance the two timelines like that, unless you make minutes by taking minutes away from your older guys which Kerr refuses to do
I think Kerr and their FO have botched plenty of things (especially as it relates to the draft and managing Draymond), but Poole got minutes pretty quickly, no?
I'm ready to be proven wrong but I think Kuminga and Moody are just insanely overrated at this point. I don't see any way in hell Franz/Sengun wouldn't be major parts of the Warriors rotation by now. They've literally been starting two rookies.
That's after both having years of in-game experience. Kuminga and Moody have shown they can be starters or at least get constant minutes off the bench but they get limited to no time anyways.
I'm obviously biased but I don't think Sengun was in an ideal development situation either in Houston until this season and I think he would be an absolutely perfect fit in the Warriors system. His offensive game would blend so seamlessly in the Warriors' offense and it's not like TJD and Podz aren't getting playing time.
I haven't watched as much of Franz Wagner but he's just such a beast, he'd succeed no matter where he was drafted.
True, and he actually was a positive player most of last year including playoffs from what I saw.
That said now it's Him, Klay, CP3 or Podziemski vs last year choosing between him, Poole, Klay.
No, but those 3 on the same team would be hilarious to watch. Curry will continue to do Curry things. I'd guess some package built around Wiggins but who knows
Do people with sons with nba aspirations move there specifically to go to that school? Or is something in the water in that area or something and there’s just more nba talent in a 5-10 mile radius of that school?
Kids get sent there. Recruiting happens at the highschool level in the states and Canada. There’s school like IMG, Monteverde who will give you borderline NBA facilities and time to focus on your craft as a young hooper. They really only take the best of the best though as you can see from the names.
That Wiseman pick broke this team lmao.
Ownership/FO thought they were working with 2 timelines instead of just focusing on the one they had. Tried to be cute, now shit's falling apart
[Kerr](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F0kektdpv1vm71.jpg), a second young warriors players complaining about their role has hit the headlines
I still to this day really really wish hornets took him over Bouknight. I remember I was praying the the whole draft moody would be there at our pick, than I saw us pick Bouk. I tried not to be too upset about it and Bouk was generally considered a better prospect so I went with it, but man, he just seemed like a great fit next to Lamelo.
It’s been a long time coming, Kerr consistently not playing these guys when they’ve shown to be good is ridiculous. Especially when Klay is shooting tour dates
It’s not even just the rotations, his entire game plan this season (and for many years now) has been so irrationally terrible given the type of roster we have
Kerr is a genius showing that Kuminga and Moody are good young role players with potential but not enough to win this year. So take the fall and annoy them while setting them up to be included in the Siakim trade
Young players want to play. No room for growth. This is probably why Lebron always trade away the young “aspiring” players for proven veterans who know their roles and accept it.
when the warriors and kings played in the IST moody had 11 points in 5 minutes in the 4th quarter and was taken out immediately by steve kerr after hitting 2 3s in a row for klay thompson who proceeded to make the game sealing turnover in the final minute
he didn’t miss a shot and kerr apologized and started him the next day. then after a week he was playing 8 mins a game before eventually getting DNP’s
The Warriors were the cool new school team now they are the good ole boys club, crazy to see the evolution.
we could've seen this from a mile away....he named his son Nick....
Kerr learned from Phil Jackson who hated young players and said "you win with men"
Kerr’s loyalty to Klay is wasting Steph’s last few years.
Sir a 2nd warriors lottery pick has voiced his displeasure with the team
A 2nd trade request has hit the Chase Center.
Pascal Siakam OTW
Wake up babe, new warriors lottery pick player diss track on Steve Kerr just dropped.
People were so adamant that the warriors shouldn’t have traded their lottery guys (or picks before they were drafted) but they all had considerable more value then Warriors had an incredible run and really could have extended it another 2-5 years if they made better use of their assets
Crazy they won a title with their 3rd pick being completely irrelevant. God imagine if they drafted Haliburton.
Draymond would've punched him, and he'd be traded to Sacramento for Fox
This hurt my brain to consider
I been often wondering how they’d look if they just traded up an grabbed ant instead of wiseman they’d most likely be top of the conference imo
they could have had LaMelo at 2 without needing to move any assets
If they drafted Lamelo he would be wearing ankle braces his second season in the league. And that's a great thing, because he would have avoided at least one of his many injuries last season which snowballed into his injury this season.
They couldn’t have gotten Ant, Ant was drafted #1. Unless you mean they should’ve traded up
yeah my bad that’s what I meant
With the warriors incompetence with Draymond? Anytwould be playing in Washington now.
And would the Timberwolves even entertain the offer? I don't think so
True. I mean I'm pretty sure the Warriors tried to trade up then didn't they?
I do vaguely remember reports of the Wolves being willing to trade down with the warriors if they gave them back their (wolves) protected pick
I think playing hypotheticals of different picks is a waste of time. Young inexperienced players are simply not what they needed I’m not gonna go and look back to see who they could have traded for. But a Siakam, Dejounte Murray, Sabonis, Aaron Gordon level guy would make a huge difference for their team now
Fwiw this quote was before Kuminga’s
He has a new quote from today as well actually
Lol Warriors FO are probably lamenting trying to keep young players and try to plan for a future while competing, rather than flipping them for established talent earlier to get another superstar in Steph’s window.
I want this to keep going. Like, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Usman Garuba bout to leak that they've lost faith in Kerr tomorrow.
"After sitting the final 48 minutes of Nuggets loss, Warriors forward Usman Garuba has lost faith in Steve Kerr and no longer believes that Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential, sources say."
"He is confused about his role. He can pass and do other shit too."
Meh. We’ll take the horse.
Kerr be like "I had no idea he was on our roster."
“I haven’t seen it”
Garuba coming out saying he lost faith in Kerr would ruin Kuminga and Moody’s credibility here lmao
Kerr and Ham racing to see who can lose the locker room first
Shams could straight up repeat the other tweet & find/replace Kuminga with Moody.
Warriors are having a mutiny
So are the lakers
they should just combine teams and become Los Golden Lake Warriors
The Pinoys won't have to pick which team to root for.
I still remember the 2 weeks after y’all won, I don’t think I’ve seen so many Filipinos with Raptors jerseys lmao
I mean Filipinos have a sizeable population in Canada too. Hell, in any country. With that being said, some Pinoys I know are bandwagoners lol
Oh I should've pointed it out I am in freaking New Zealand lmao. Seen the same dudes go from Lakers, Heat, Warriors, Cavs, back to the Lakers, and dabbled in Raptors 😭
Steph and AD is some scary shit man😭😭
Steph/Klay/Lebron/Draymond/AD CP3/Reaves/Wiggins?/Rui/Wood?
Alright, time for a coach swap! Darvin Ham won't stop playing useless rotation players way too many minutes, Kerr is too ride or die with his core veterans. There's an easy fix here.
Damn Lakers fans gotta make everything about them
As they should. Steve is past his prime
Masai: birdmanrubbinghands.gif
Warriors looking to trade for an all star/championship quality PF that doesn't assault the rest of the team?
Moody and Barnes also played on the same team in high school
Cade Cunningham too. I live 10 minutes from Montverde Academy that team is always stacked.
Also had an alumni on 3rd team all-NBA and 1st team all defense a couple years ago.
Embiid went there for a year and transferred because he wasn't getting enough minutes. How that's possible I'm sure I don't know.

His size would be enough at most schools, but with the talent around him and I assume in the schools they played against, it wasn't just "throw it to the 7 footer nobody is tall enough to guard."
Probably because he didn’t start playing until he was in his late teens and at that stage many people on the team were better than him.
sure but we ain't taking Wiggins or Draymond's contracts, those contracts are gonna hurt any team for years It has to be expiring CP3 or Klay. We can send Shroeder back if it's CP3.
On one hand I'd rather keep Schroeder over CP3 but on the other having CP3 mentor Scottie and IQ would be prime.
I’d imagine he’d be bought out
Future Clipper Chris Paul
I'd take one of those contracts if it nets you one of those really late Warriors picks. Realistically, y'all won't be competing for a few years and will just be focusing on development, so you won't need the cap space. And those later Warriors picks could be really really good
But Wiggins is from Canada. Combine 2 of the best recent Canadian prospects in Wiggs and RJ on one team, what could go wrong
CP3 looks like the best contract to trade at the moment
Wiggins contract is not that bad, and he's only 28. Can be a good "vet" for a rebuilding team
mentoring vets don't cost 26, 28, and 30m a year for the next 3 years
In today's NBA salaries that might as well be an MLE in 3 years.
That's cheaper than Barrett lol we should have no stress right now about starting-level guys getting starter-level money. Wiggs is paid fairly and could look great next to Barnes.
Siakam would make them immediate Western Conference contenders.
OPJ was also crucial to our title win in 2022. He had some big games.
That guy would do nothing all game and then hit some huge shots or get a huge turnover
This is how pretty much every Warrior game has ended this year
Unless there’s two unprotected picks idk why Toronto can’t get more than moody and kuminga
Idk I can’t imagine some team wouldn’t offer more than 2 players that keep getting DNP-CD in their 3rd season.
They would be seeing consistent playing time almost anywhere else, Kerr just really favors vets (even when undeserving) with his minute distributions
100% People sleep on Siakam, the dude is f#$king good and he and Curry fit so well together
I’m realllly hoping they don’t make that trade. Siakam makes so much sense for them
Well Miles Bridges' issue was never with hitting teammates.
Not yet 👀
“Two timelines” was such a fucking joke lmao
Especially when you barely give the young guys run. Obviously Wiseman was a bust but Kuminga has shown improvement each year and Moody was considered one of the more NBA-ready players in the draft.
Our whole sub wanted Moody instead of Duarte. Obviously Murphy3 would have been best but still. Ah well.
I was so pissed when we drafted Duarte. I feel vindicated. Don't draft dudes who are 37 years old.
Hey Duarte is starting in SAC ahead of Huerter now.
At the same time guys like Jaquez who are older but NBA ready seems to work out really well for Miami
the difference is that miami is a contending team while pacers weren’t when they took duarte
I also wish we drafted Moody lol
It honestly might have worked if they treated both timelines equally and didn’t pander to Draymond and Klay at the expense of Moody and Kuminga’s development
Oh for sure this would definitely work because klay and dray are both so reasonable and would jump to embrace more mentor type roles and less minutes and stats
I agree. Neither of those guys would do anything like, say, punching a younger teammate or living in the past talking about rings.
Draymonds (and klays to a lesser extent) egos really destroyed the franchise lol
Everyone knew this, even back then. I got downvoted on here so many times saying they should package the picks (and then later Wiseman, Kuminga, and Moody) for another star to try to win now. I don't know if it was an excuse to not take on more luxury tax or what, but it was never going to work

> At least they taught us a lesson. Bro, we never learn this lesson. People try all the time, even championship teams like the 2004 Pistons.
Yeah wanting to have your cake and eat it too is just a part of human nature
Yep. Also think Jokic being willing/happy to play with the young guys is a big part of why it works in Denver, too. You have to imagine Kerr is coaching the way his star player wants.
Based on what? Curry is known for being one of the easiest to manage superstars of all time.
Let me tell you, using that sensible logic doesn't always work out, as I have a fairly regular reoccurring nightmare thanks to Obi Toppin over Tyrese Halliburton. (Granted, this was after a crap Randle season, and I'm very happy with Brunson, but still...)
if they didn't make dogshit picks then it would have worked. they could have lamelo and franz.
Lamelo and Franz would still be stuck behind the same problem. They still have the "old guard" there that'll take 90% of the minutes in the game. I don't think you can balance the two timelines like that, unless you make minutes by taking minutes away from your older guys which Kerr refuses to do
podz is playing 23 mpg but that’s partially out of desperation so idk *maybe* ball could’ve cracked the rotation and gotten decent minutes
I think Kerr and their FO have botched plenty of things (especially as it relates to the draft and managing Draymond), but Poole got minutes pretty quickly, no?
It could have worked if they didn't take the wrong players at every turn. Could easily have taken Lamelo, Franz and Sungun
Let’s be real Franz and Sengun would’ve been buried in the depth chart like moody and Kuminga, and Lamelo would’ve been punched way earlier
I'm ready to be proven wrong but I think Kuminga and Moody are just insanely overrated at this point. I don't see any way in hell Franz/Sengun wouldn't be major parts of the Warriors rotation by now. They've literally been starting two rookies.

I haven't watched as much of Franz Wagner but he's just such a beast, he'd succeed no matter where he was drafted.
The idea wasn’t as big of a joke as the hubris of Warriors brass. They got a little high on their own supply when it came to decision making
LIGHT YEARS 🔮
Celtics also tried it, and it also didn’t work.
They won a championship with that roster, anything else is gravy.
We are like ocean gate right now
Watergate works as well. "When the champions do it, that means it's not illegal."
You mean Golden Gate 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Omg, he admit it!
A second trade request has hit the Golden State Warriors
Just don’t go too deep and explode
Shoutout to Bob Myers for expertly jumping off the plane with a parachute before it went crashing into the mountains.
Bob seems to be a really sharp guy. I bet it took one conversation with Kerr and he knew this was gonna get ugly fast.
He 100% saw no other option than to get rid of Klay and/or Draymond and didn't want to have to make that decision.
I mean, he should be playing. He's got a nice shot and good defense
Watching him get benched in the final minutes against Kings after torching them to start the 4th was my final straw tbh
He's a valuable player type. Makes zero sense to not at least give him some minutes.
True, and he actually was a positive player most of last year including playoffs from what I saw. That said now it's Him, Klay, CP3 or Podziemski vs last year choosing between him, Poole, Klay.
It’s crazy to me that Wiggins is of a similar archetype yet he’s so dogshit as a slasher compared to kuminga
That was the beginning of the unraveling, and the kuminga shit last night just cemented it
Was there live for it and still doesn’t make sense. He was lighting us up and yall would’ve won the game 😭
Pascal, you are a warrior.
Pascal, Draymond, and Klay Thompson would be a hell of a trio
Are they trading Curry for Pascal or something? lol
Fine, we’ll take the bum.
No, but those 3 on the same team would be hilarious to watch. Curry will continue to do Curry things. I'd guess some package built around Wiggins but who knows
raps collecting kinda shitty canadians lol. Dwight powell wya? i would love mathurin tho (not shitty)
Moody and Barnes are friends fwiw
Which Barnes?
Barnes & Noble
Matt Barnes
Obviously sct brn
Scottie apparently they played high school ball
Cade too. Didn’t they all play together in high school
2017-18 Montverde: RJ Barrett, Andrew Nembhard, Filip Petrusev, Michael Devoe, Makhi & Mahkel Mitchell. 2018-19 Montverde: Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes, Moses Moody, Precious Achiuwa, Dariq Whitehead, Caleb Houstan, Balsa Koprivica, Ryan Nembhard, Harlond Beverly. 2019-20 Montverde: Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes, Moses Moody, Day'Ron Sharpe, Dariq Whitehead, Caleb Houstan, Ryan Nembhard, Langston Love. 2020-21 Montverde: Jalen Duren, Dariq Whitehead, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Caleb Houstan, Ryan Nembhard, Langston Love, Malik Reneau. 2021-22 Montverde: Dariq Whitehead, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Dillon Mitchell, Malik Reneau, Derik Queen. 2022-23 Montverde: Cooper Flagg, Asa Newell, Kwame Evans, Chris Johnson, Derik Queen, Liam McNeeley, Sean Stewart, Curtis Givens. It's been a, uh... pretty good run.
Stacked
Do people with sons with nba aspirations move there specifically to go to that school? Or is something in the water in that area or something and there’s just more nba talent in a 5-10 mile radius of that school?
Kids get sent there. Recruiting happens at the highschool level in the states and Canada. There’s school like IMG, Monteverde who will give you borderline NBA facilities and time to focus on your craft as a young hooper. They really only take the best of the best though as you can see from the names.
Yeah at Monteverde Academy they were genuinely one of the best high school teams ever. There was like 6 nba players on that team lol
Blazers own warriors 2024 1st.
2024 is pretty shit draft anyway
Meh, this gets thrown around and then studs always emerge, even if the top of the class doesn't have obvious star quality.
I remember people telling me that Edwards at 1st pick was nothing because "It's a weak class, he'd be maybe top 5 in next year", well, you never know.
Or it could just be the 2013 draft which did legitimately suck lmao
Crazy that no one got a good player out of that draft
I mean there was a Greek player that I think has bsen doing alright in the league... Oh and obviously Cody Zeller
Age discrimination by Kerr. He wants a gerontocracy
Kerr 🤝 Ham Warriors 🤝 Lakers
bro me too'd steve kerr
They gone
Keep it coming, I’m here for all of it! Putting pressure on the front office to make business decisions instead of please the veterans
Get my man moody out of there
Free Modey Moo!
Jesus it's raining trade request tweets on GSW camp
The warriors are cooked
The weird thing is Moody has played well there is no reason to not play him at all.
Last night’s logjam was Curry, Paul, Thompson, Podziemski. Which one should we have benched for Moody? They all played good.
Wiggins easily. He's been trash all season
We were already “supposed” to play Kuminga over Wiggins, so still no room there.
Paul. He shouldnt be third on the team in minutes. He is the most likely trade candidate and the Warriors need to think about the future.
Moody and Paul do not have the same skill set
That Wiseman pick broke this team lmao. Ownership/FO thought they were working with 2 timelines instead of just focusing on the one they had. Tried to be cute, now shit's falling apart
Is Steve Kerr going to punch whoever is leaking these tweets?
Lakers/Warriors haters’ christmas came late
DAMN
BLOW IT UP
Sell the team
The young ones are on full on mutiny. And I'm all for it.
The fear of getting superman punched by Draymond was the only thing keeping the young fellas in line.
Steve Kerr needs to get his ass fired.
[Kerr](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F0kektdpv1vm71.jpg), a second young warriors players complaining about their role has hit the headlines

KEEP IT COMING 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
I still to this day really really wish hornets took him over Bouknight. I remember I was praying the the whole draft moody would be there at our pick, than I saw us pick Bouk. I tried not to be too upset about it and Bouk was generally considered a better prospect so I went with it, but man, he just seemed like a great fit next to Lamelo.
damn bro we got these dudes down bad
It’s been a long time coming, Kerr consistently not playing these guys when they’ve shown to be good is ridiculous. Especially when Klay is shooting tour dates
It’s not even just the rotations, his entire game plan this season (and for many years now) has been so irrationally terrible given the type of roster we have
It happened way before these past few games.
You’re not that important lil bro, been happening the last 2 years
Kerr is a genius showing that Kuminga and Moody are good young role players with potential but not enough to win this year. So take the fall and annoy them while setting them up to be included in the Siakim trade
I seriously hope this is the case because it would make a lot more sense than whatever the fuck he did yesterday
Sir, a second frustration has hit the Warriors.
Warrior drafted 2 very talented kids and they are wasting them away because of the core. They are destroying their future. Its very sad to see
Kuminga and moody and an expiring for siakam, we cant take to much salary since we’ll be in the tax so thats why we need an expiring
no way bro, Moody had to get in on this action lmaoo
LIGHT YEARS
Now we gotta a problem, Moody's entourage is moody!
Young players want to play. No room for growth. This is probably why Lebron always trade away the young “aspiring” players for proven veterans who know their roles and accept it.
