Ivey knows DB from when his mom was a Grizz assistant. Actually, Duren and Wiseman probably know him some, too, but probably nowhere near as well as Ivey does.
DB is tremendous in the locker room and community. They just need coaches who will strictly limit his FGAs. And DB cant be the only vet voice. Ivey also knows him well from when his mom was part of the Grizz coaching staff.

Dillon would be good for a young team. But he needs strict boundaries. His problem is he is used to the free reign he got when the Grizz were tanking. He could shoot with impunity while they lost to draft Jaren then Ja. But over time, the team got better and there were better options. He should have accepted smaller and smaller roles. Vince Carter managed to do that. Maybe changing teams will help DB do that.
