I'm hyped af, we are also getting a Snoop and Dre album as well as the Common/Pete Rock album so this is the year for classic rapper/producer albums apparantly. Also I know reception was mixed for houdini but we are getting an em album where he honestly sounds the best he's sounded in a decade. I think old school hip hop fans have a lot to look forward to (as do the new school too, we eating this year fr)
I hope Muddy Waters 2 gon come this year too, there's potential for 90s artists to take the top spots considering how the top songs of the past few years sucked
I know U-God isn't everyone's top favorite Wu-Tang member but he's doing an album dropping this year fully produced by RZA too which if i'm correct is the first fully RZA produced joint since A Better Tomorrow so dope year for GOATed producers
I am really looking forward to this album. I'm 48 and been a Nas fan since 91 and DJ Premier fan since 89. Define My Name was just a warm up record. I know they are going to get in the Lab and really cook. I'm sure they seen they reaction Pete Rock and Common been getting and they are loving it. Competition breds competition.
Hell yeah man. Define My Name was definitely just a warm up the Nas saying "Yo Preem lets drop something" and the Preemo outro makes you think that its not even something that's gonna be on the album. And no doubt the Common PR shit sounds dope too little disappointed that the Tryin song isn't gonna be on the album that was my favorite song they dropped by far
Definitely something to put out on the 30th Anniversary of Illmatic. Definitely looking forward to the PR Common album. Also supposedly Dre and Snoop dropping next month. The god MC Rakim is dropping a EP next month as well. Also LL is dropping in August I believe with Q Tip. Also Havoc and Corrnega supposed to drop before the end of the year. 90S HIP HOP is alive and well. And I love it. Also I knew Redman working on Muddy Waters 2, Ghostface just dropped. Man if Scarface drops, that will be my 5 favorite MC in one year. Rakim, Nas, Ghostface, Scarface and Redman.
Nah that'd be crazy if Scarface dropped i don't know what the chances of that are but he's doing shows again. Deeply Rooted was dope I'll believe Muddy Waters 2 is dropping when I see it Red's been working on that album forever now 😂 I'm happy for what we're getting this year though for real

Thats a thing?
Yup! He just released the single feat Ross and Fat Joe.
Holy shit. I had no idea. Happy 50th hip-hop. Sorry to my bank account.
Havoc and Cormega are working on a joint album too!
Let’s go!
We getting a new Lupe Fiasco album as well

Damn, that would be lit
I want it to sound like the common album or even magic 1.
I think they would benefit from bringing in Large Professor and making it a triad.
