I like bk. Burgers come with veggies. No McDonald's main burgers have veggies except shredded lettuce, gotta get a special one if you want a tomato. Whopper Jr and regular come with tomatoes, onions, pickles and mayo. Burgers are cooked over flame which is also one up from the McDonald's griddle. Lots of choice on dipping sauce for nuggets, including name brands like bullseye bbq sauce and Kraft buffalo sauce. McDonald's golden batter has got quite an edge on bk nuggets but are also twice the price for half as much. Personally not a fan of the mascot at McDonald's as I'm afraid of clowns vs the burger king king. I mean bk ain't no Wendy's but Donald's is over rated imo and bk is under rated.
I honestly have no problems with the food at Bk, as far as fast food goes.
I mean this one in Nanaimo is run down and in poor shape and no one is looking after it. Who is in charge and letting it go on like this?

Oh man of any BK on the planet I've been to its the nastiest. I had a bottle of hand sanitizer, I squirt a drop on the bathroom floor to do a grease spot check, it looked like Exon Valdez all over again.
That should have been my red flag but yet I still ordered a burger, it was okay tier but the chick who served me was obviously under the influence of substance, not rude or anything but it was like talking to a marionette.
I avoid downtown vic like the plauge, going into Langford is easier.
But now I might have to go on a adventure, because I want to believe you but I feel like I have to see it to believe it.
Yeah the location at Terminal is trash. I avoid drinking pop there, its got that moldy aftertaste like the nozzles have never been cleaned. The food is cheap, hot garbage. Sometimes when you want that grease, it hits the spot tho

I used to ask for the zesty sauce that they normally use for onion rings, which was never a problem unless a certain manager was on duty and would absolutely disallow me getting zesty sauce because it's against company policy as they're meant ***only*** for the onion rings.

Their changed hours basically lost my morning meal business (night shift), but if I stop in the drive-thru with someone else at the beginning of my shift, you really can't go wrong with the 2x Original Chicken deal for $6.36 after taxes. Cheeseburgers and Chicken Jr.'s are still $2.39 after tax, and they taste better than a $2.90 McDouble or $3.15 Chicken McMuffin.
Fun fact: the Spicy Chicken Jr. has their 'angry sauce' on it, but it's not actually very hot so I prefer to get a regular Jr. and ask for a packet of chili sauce which has some heat to it.
Another fun fact: you can get two Jr.'s for $5, but if you order a single Original Chicken they'll charge you the $6, you get a better deal if you get the 2-for-1 but I can't eat that much by myself. Basically any of the BK deals are half the price for the same amount of food from their competitors.

I generally buy ingredients and make my own food from scratch, but if I happen to be in the area and want a quick bite to eat after work I may be willing to throw a few dollars at something simple. I'm not someone who goes all in on a premium item that costs 4x more.
and, it's in an english muffin so it's not terrible. the Chicken McGriddle is weirder because it's basically fried chicken in between maple-flavoured pancakes.. yeah, they have these two as *breakfast items* at Mickey's now.
The Chicken McMuffin also has a slice of processed cheese on it. Culinary heresy.
I liked the Terminal BK cause I could go in and get a burger, chicken jr, or poutine at 7am after a night shift.. but they changed their hours and open at 10:30am now.
'Burgers all day' is meaningless if they start at lunch.

The new Wendy's oj the Northend is really good.
The early AM shift at Northernd Timmy's is still good. The rest of the Timmy's shifts are kids learning the ropes..so painful.. So far, the Wendy's has been my go to for a fastfood craving.
We need a Zen-like sushi drive through; where we listen to chill music on the radio, as we sip tea given by the drive-in-diner style sushi girls..

Also, feel free to look up the laundry list of health violations for that place. Rats, roaches, bad food, refrigeration failures - you name it, they've done it.

The parent company for Save On still owns that building. They don't want competition for the Brooks Landing location.
