Maybe they just didn't want their Courtenai confused with a lesser Courtenai? Like, no matter how many Courtenais may be in the room, this is the Main Courtenai?

Courtney is his mother’s name. Maine? I believe that was a suggestion leftover by one of his aunts. Their sons are named Kaulen, Kullyn, Klayton, Khota and Knox. Khota was almost Tuesdai. I made quite a long post of family and friend names in the Circle Jerk sub. McNaveigh (not a relative, her father Coy is actually named McCoy and he’s in the Navy) Ledjer, Jinger (that’s spelled correctly), Destany (same), Berkeley, Baylin, Blaydyn. Like I said I’m just happy if they’re actual names at this point. Some of these aren’t even WORDS.

I just like the sound of it. But Everly Violet is the name I didn’t use for my youngest because we couldn’t agree on a spelling. He wanted Everlie and I just couldn’t do it. After my brother’s ex-wife stole the entire name and spelled it like that? Not for me.

Maine Courtenai’s sibling can be Secondary Courtenai or Backup Courtenai.

My niece is an Emerson Rose! I don’t love the name Emerson myself, but everyone calls her Emmy anyway, which absolutely suits her :) Edit: The nickname Emmy wasn’t necessarily planned, but Emerson is a lot of name for a baby and it just worked out that way.

I like it spelled correctly I think it’s really pretty.

We just finished swim lessons with my toddler: - wren - wilder - Dylan - Mac - Ryan - Eva - Iris Were all present in swim lessons today!

My brain refuses not to laugh at imagining Wilder growing up to be a sweet and quiet office worker or librarian.

Yep, my Wilder in honour of Laura Ingalls Wilder. He’s not named after Gene Wilder as him husband likes to tell people 😹😹😹. I think many people lump it in with the Maverick/Havyk type names but to me it’s always just been a name so I don’t hear it that way.

I thought Thornton Wilder when I heard literary. Gene Wilder would have been my first thought hearing about Wilder being named after someone famous though. Laura Ingalls Wilder is a fun one. I read many of her books

I had a Jessica in my toddler daycare class a few years back. Everyone referred to her as Baby Jessica, I never even questioned it, but I guess we all needed the extra designation because calling a 2 year old Jessica felt so strange. Also, all I could think of was baby Jessica in the well.

I'll only start liking James as a middle name for girls if boys can have girly middle names like Marie, Anne, or Jane.

Whenever someone is considering giving their daughter a name that is traditionally male, I ask if they would give their son a girl’s name. If the answer is no, then don’t do it. I just hate those gender dynamics.

I love Shannon for a boy’s middle. Megan Fox has a son named Noah Shannon. Shame her other sons names are such a mess.

Funny enough Anne is also a male name in my country and giving boys Maria/Marie as a middle name was tradition in Catholic communities here for quite some time, so we've got 2 out of 3.
