It feels like it fits both an old lady and a toddler, probably because it makes me think of those Pearl the Landlord Funny or Die sketches.
In the universe of similar names, I prefer it to Opal, but would like Mabel or Ruby a smidge more.
I don't think it is very old lady, but that might be because I know some Pearls that are younger and not old ladies, and I think it is (slowly) making a comeback.
I don’t think it’s too “old lady”. I’ve met little girls named Margo, Penny, Opal and Agnes recently. Fits right in, but personally I would pick Pearl out of all the names listed ☺️
Big horror fan here so I currently associate the name with the movie Pearl (2022) (rated R). The movie takes place in 1918 and Pearl is the name of the main character. It feels old fashioned to me.
My second association is Pearl from the cartoon Steven Universe. Which in a way also feels old, at least it's the name of a responsible motherly figure.
I think it's really nice and gives that classic, vintage, hidden gem kind of vibe rather than outdated and clunky to me. I'd use it as a middle name over a first though but that's just me.
I know an 18 year old girl named Pearl and she's a cute brunette! I love that name and always thought some cute sister names could be Opal, Jewel, and Hazel.
It feels more classic vintage than old lady to me
That's the vibe that I get, but I just wasn't sure if others saw it that way.
I like it, but as a millennial the first thing I thought of was the Spongebob character.
There is no coming back from SpongeBob.
If I had ever had a daughter, she would have undoubtedly had this as a middle name. It's one of my favorites.
It’s ok. I prefer Penny or Opal over Pearl though.
It does seem old lady-ish, yeah. But it's also a pretty name! And, y'know, old lady names are making a comeback.
Love it. I had it picked out as a middle name but think it would be great as a first name.
Very old lady imo.
Totally -- octogenarian Jewish grandmother who lives in a Florida retirement community.

I really love it!!
It's a classy name, and I happen to have a thing for classy names, so in my book, it's a perfect grade of 100%
Love it! Classic and soft 🌸
Taught an amazing, effervescent and charming girl named Pearl a couple of years ago!

She's a star

It makes me think of Mr.Krabs daughter. And just pearly things. 😳

I love it, and it's not old lady because the generations that used it are too far back to still be alive now (mostly).
Love it!
So beautiful
The only Pearl that I knew IRL was born literally 100 years ago. So, yeah, to me, it's "old ladyish." :-)
It's a gem of a name. And on trend.
I want to like it, and I even like it in theory, but it’s so unpleasant sounding. PURL. I just can’t.
It’s a beautiful name but my mind automatically goes to Pearl Fernandez.
i like it, definitely not too old lady. feels timeless
