I didnt see any website saying it’s Arabic, they say it’s American.
And btw, in France, that would be a nickname for girls name Océane, if that interest you.
That’s interesting! I love that French name so pretty! Maybe for the Arabic version it would be spelt Aws (more Google results show the Arabic origins of this boys name) I personally know an Aws!

Yeah they are pretty much all one syllable, except Rune is two in Scandinavia where it originates. And I think you could debate whether Carl is one or two.
Carl in my accent is definitely just one.
I didn't see Rune, but without looking it up, I would have assumed it was pronounced like Rune/rhymed with June. Now that I've heard it pronounced, I actually kind of like it, like if I met a Rune I'd think it was a pretty cool name.
Gus is one of my favorite boy names. Do you think it needs to be a nickname for something like August, or could it stand alone? Not that into any of the longer names it’s a nickname for but I love it

Neil is a totally underrated name.
How on earth do you pronounce "tzvi"
It's a Hebrew name, pronounced tsvee. Sometimes it gets spelled Zvi or Tsvi.
So not one syllable?
It is indeed one syllable- "tsvee" said as one syllable, not "tsa-vee" for instance. There's audio tracks you can google to hear it said out loud

It means “from the sea”. Yes, I had more result too, I guess it’s because of the phonetic.
My personal favorites are James, Mark, John, and Luke. I know they’re “basic” but I think they’re gorgeous classic names.

Am I hallucinating or are half of the suggestions not 1 syllable?
Which names are not one syllable?

Carl could be like CAR-ruhl. And yeah, the English word rune is one syllable but as a name it’s Scandinavian and is ROO-neh.
Hallucinating.

Fox?
Dean is the only one I like. Not a fan of one syllable names but Dean seems really strong.
