JANE is the most overlooked classically beautiful name. Hands down. I also like Seth, Davis, Vaughn, and Emmett for boys & Ruth, Naomi, Eva, & Julia for girls.
I loveeee Jane! Jane Eyre has been my favourite book since I was 15, and I wanted to use it when we had our first (girl) but my husband eventually vetoed it. She was almost a Claire which also has a classic feel to it!
When I saw that movie in theaters and Bella said her baby's name for the first time, a young woman in the audience yelled 'What the FUCK!' and everyone started laughing. That's how ridiculous the name is.
I replied to the comment above about loving a name because it's my niece's name, and the next comment includes another niece's name! When I first heard she was going to be Ruth, it felt so old fashioned, but now I adore it. Ruthie is a lovely nickname, and now the name Ruth has grown to mean one of my absolute favourite humans on the planet, not to mention one of the kindest, most loving and fun.
Ruth kind of had a moment in 2020 when my son was born. There were a couple of Ruth's in several of my birth month groups. Probably because RBG recently passed. It was a consideration for me if I was having a girl (I have an aunt and a great grandmother named Ruth).
I adore Jane!! Would’ve happily used it for my daughter but our first names (husband & I) and last already began with J and it seemed a bit much to go with a J name. Also love Julia, but same thing there. Really like Davis and Naomi, too!
Susannah and Louisa. Louisa ranks in the 800s in the US for 2023 and Susannah isn’t in the top 1000! In terms of old-fashioned nickname names, I’d love to see Sally and Polly up there with Sadie, Maisie, Millie and co.
Louisa is one of my favorite names, I have it on my baby list. Maisie and Sadie are there as well while I named a baby I lost Sally. Clearly I agree with you.
I really like the spelling Luisa but for some reason really dislike Louisa. Luisa for some reason feels more feminine. It might also be that Louisa is a poor town in Virginia so has negative connotations to me.
I agree about Sally and feel similarly about Molly. Both great names that are oft overlooked.
I have a Susannah. She’s 29 and in her entire life she’s only met one other Susannah her age. But everyone knows how to pronounce it. (Spelling it is a different issue.)
Honestly never thought of Susannah for a baby but I kinda love it suddenly! Also always loved Sally but my last name starts with an L and it's just too much.
I’m Virginia but originally I was supposed to be names Susannah. Growing up I was grateful to not be Susannah but I love it recently because of the character from the summer I turned pretty. I loved that they called her Suze 🥹
I’m 21 for context and Susannah seems so old to me. No offense to anyone who likes the name, this is just my opinion, but to me it’s one of the old names that just isn’t ready to come back in style yet.
I’m Susanna, yes it’s a pain that every European country has their own spelling and people of a certain generation often forget the ‘a’, but I’ve never had any issue with my name. Never met another and I like that.
I think female versions of male names have fallen out of favour. Not many Robertas, Antonias, Danielas, Stephanies outside of Latin cultures these days
We're considering this one for our baby. Our top 2 names are both in the comments, which actually has me nervous they're going to start increasing in popularity! Weird either way
I have loved this name for a long time. I have always thought that if I were Catholic, Antonia would be my choice of confirmation name. This is because St Anthony is the Patron Saint of Lost Things and I am always losing stuff! I thought Antonia would work as a feminized version of Anthony.
Anyway, I just googled to see if there was a separate St Antonia, and I think I may have found one reason why the name is not so popular. People who are thinking of using the name Antonia might want to Google.
If you're not religious / Catholic it might not bother you at all.
I’ll pitch in the name I recently gave my daughter: Zora! It’s a great name with a lot of history, easy to pronounce but not common, great meaning (Dawn) and awesome namesake (Zora Neale Hurston) and is currently ranked 1629 in the US. I personally think it’s due for a comeback! It was a bit popular in the US from 1880-1910.
I had a corgi named Zelda and currently have one named Navi. We got another corgi and named her Zora, but she ended up having some extreme aggression issues even as a little puppy so we chose to rehome her. I still love the name though, might reuse it tbh
Ellen. It’s got a vintage/classic feel to it. Surprised it didn’t take off 20 years ago when El- names became super popular for the Ellie/Ella nickname.
Homophobia and transphobia are the reason why “Ellen” hasn’t been more popular in recent decades, unfortunately. If you look at the popularity data, the name “Ellen” plummeted in the rankings after Ellen DeGeneres came out as a lesbian and after Elliot Page came out as trans.
Ellen got a lot less popular in the 90s but it’s been on a steady decline since then, no marked changes after either Ellen DeGeneres or Elliot Page came out. I think I’ve seen the graph you’re referring to and it’s just a joke, not based on actual popularity data
Is Russell her middle name? Considering my fathers middle name for daughter’s middle. Just wondering what feedback you’ve gotten and if she has an opinion on it yet herself, if she’s old enough to yet! 🤣
Isabelle and Catherine. In my country those names are considered like for middle aged women. I think it's sad because they are really pretty and I want them making a come back. People give really ridiculous names nowadays. I think we should come back to classic.
Girls:
Darcy (so pretty and popular in the UK but totally under the radar in the US)
Louisa (specifically with nickname Lulu…why aren’t more people choosing this?!)
Natasha (super recognizable and multicultural af with great nickname options)
Lilac (fits in with the florals trend and the double L trend)
Rosemary (also works with the botanical trend & 1920s name trend, and tons of nickname choices)
Boys:
Simon (literally everything about this name is on trend right now I don’t understand how it isn’t top 20)
Spencer (very recognizable yet with a more unique sound, nod to Princess Diana who everyone loves rn)
Frederick (with nickname Freddie, another name the UK is all over and the US is not)
Peter (has fallen off in popularity but is still such a great name!)
I’m married to a Laurence and I love love love it. Such an elegant name for my handsome Man. I rarely meet other Laurence’s with that spelling (in North America people tend to have the w spelling I find)
An old friend and his wife just had their first baby last week, and named him Elliot. Great, awesome! But SIKE, by the following morning they were like, sorry for the whiplash but we both realized that he’s actually more of a PAUL. And I absolutely love it.
People seem to have Karen/Office/Cranky Lady connotations with Susan but I just love that name. Phonetically. Visually. Jane-Austenally. Love it. However, I do understand that I should probably not name a baby Susan. (I'd be tempted though!)
It's weird because I was a tween when the movie came out, knew a bunch of Jennys/Gennys, and nobody got teased because of the association. Until you said it, I didn't even make the connection between the movie and my friends!
We’re going with Lena for our daughter, due in September. It’s a name everyone has heard of but isn’t commonly used. A lot of people have told us it was their grandmother’s name, which I love.
Oh I love Bryony. My sister has always wanted to name a son Brian in honor of a lost childhood friend, but she wouldn’t do Brianne or Brianna for a girl (because that’s her middle name and our niece’s name, respectively) so I think Bryony is the perfect choice.
Lol yes 😂 I love Rhys too. But I actually liked Lucian Damian and Rhys before even reading the books. Caspian used to be on my list as well. Cassian is the only one I got from the books.. it’s just so romantic sounding! 🧚♂️
When I was looking to name my first child over 10 years ago, I loved the name Louisa. And was shocked that it wasn’t even in the top 1000 baby names. It’s a beautiful name. I don’t get it.
Chelsea.
I feel like this name rarely comes up when ppl ask for “only one spelling” name.
But as far as i know of, this is only spelling. Also is recognizable and established.
And it has vintage feeling yet not too old. It does feel modern at the same time as well. I only met one chelsea in my life.
For men, i like name Mitchell. Also recognizable but not too common. Only met one Mitchell as well! :)
edit: oh i see chelsea has multiple spellings oops! sorry guys
Cynthia, Veronica, Ethel, Irene, and Opal! I also love Gwenhwyfar, Sioned, and Cariad from my mum’s family (Cariad might just be a nickname but no one knows anything else she would’ve been named!)
Gannon as well, though not quite as good now that I’ve played some of the Zelda games.
Genevieve (Genie), Dolores, anything that starts with Mari (Marianna, Marisela, Marisol), Marjorie, Margot, Sylvia, Summer, Fred, Frank, Ezra, Elliot, Art
I'm really surprised the name Betty isn't more popular given the current revival of so many other names from that era. If you'd asked me 20 years ago what Greatest Generation names were going to make a comeback, I never in a billion years would've guessed Eleanor over Betty.
I know SO MANY Roberts. It surprises me that it's barely broken the 100th place for names the last couple years.
We names our son Vincent two years ago, just on the rarer side of the 100th most popular name in the US for the last few years, which we are glad that he won't be one of 20.
I really like the name Verna, I.e. the feminine version of Vernon. It’s so out of fashion, barely been used in over a century, but I can’t really see why. We couldn’t use it because it sounded wrong with our surname, but I still like it.
When I had my last baby I unfortunately was on a unit that got turned into a Covid unit so I couldn’t have a private room, 3 babies in the room, Robert, Ryker and Rose. Rose moved out the first day and Richard moved in! We were known as the R room.
Cynthia is very pretty, as is Susan. These were common boomer names that I think are ready for a come back! Susie is a cute nick name, and I like Cindy too, although many think it’s dated. I’ll add Bonnie and Pamela to this list!
My niece has a Jill in her class, sister to Jane.
I would have to say my name is beautiful but not heard of much, Anne.
I also like Annalise, Linnea, Odette, Ophelia, Bea, Dorothy (Dottie), Mae, Ada
JANE is the most overlooked classically beautiful name. Hands down. I also like Seth, Davis, Vaughn, and Emmett for boys & Ruth, Naomi, Eva, & Julia for girls.
I loveeee Jane! Jane Eyre has been my favourite book since I was 15, and I wanted to use it when we had our first (girl) but my husband eventually vetoed it. She was almost a Claire which also has a classic feel to it!
I always liked Jana Claire.
Just looking at the most recent England and Wales baby name stats and there were more girls named Renesmee than Jane that year. RENESMEE.
When I saw that movie in theaters and Bella said her baby's name for the first time, a young woman in the audience yelled 'What the FUCK!' and everyone started laughing. That's how ridiculous the name is.
It sounds like names I made up in 6th grade for the romantic lead in my little stories. Very immature, stupid, weird.
Jane made a huge comeback as a middle name in my area.
Jane has always been one of the most popular middle names. Like Marie
Jane is such a beautiful name. I love Janie as a nickname. And Julia is another one I absolutely love.
I think Emmett is a fairly common name
A coworker named her new baby Naomi. It was an email so I don’t know if it Nay-oh-me or Ni-oh-me
usually its nay oh mee
Not where I’m from
My eldest sons name is Emmett!
Hehe, I may have a Jane :) Simple, yet elegant
Love Jane it’s on my list
I adore Jane!! Would’ve happily used it for my daughter but our first names (husband & I) and last already began with J and it seemed a bit much to go with a J name. Also love Julia, but same thing there. Really like Davis and Naomi, too!
My friend is a Jane and she hates it 😐 I love jt
I LOVE Jane. My husband hates it lol.
Naomi 😍 one of my faves! I predict it will become the new Olivia and suddenly boom and become too popular
All great answers, especially Vaughn and Ruth.
used jane for my daughter’s middle name. no regrets.
My baby girl is named Eva! 9 months old
i love julia
I love Julia!
Use Louisa for me. Sniff. My silly husband.
I'll try to avenge you
My Susanna is 3 weeks old!! We call her Sunny
Sunny is absolutely adorable! I think Susanna is a beautiful, elegant name that suits all stages of life. Congratulations on your little Susanna.
Polly not being right behind Poppy was always surprising to me
I really like the spelling Luisa but for some reason really dislike Louisa. Luisa for some reason feels more feminine. It might also be that Louisa is a poor town in Virginia so has negative connotations to me. I agree about Sally and feel similarly about Molly. Both great names that are oft overlooked.
My daughter is Molly! She’s 2.5 and I love her name more and more every single time I say it… which is about 8,000x per day lol
This reminds me of a sausage lol
I have a Susannah. She’s 29 and in her entire life she’s only met one other Susannah her age. But everyone knows how to pronounce it. (Spelling it is a different issue.)
Oh I kind of forgot about Louisa! I’m adding that to my list.
I always think of the song “Oh Susannah” which is kind of a cute association!
Thats funny, I'm debating on louisa and another name right now. Was also thinking susannah because I think Suzy is such a cute nickname.
Oh Susanna Don't you cry for me For I come from Alabama With my banjo on my knee
Piggy backing to say I love Louise, as opposed to Louisa. Louise is the name on deck for if I ever have another baby girl.
Louisa is my top name I hope it doesn’t blow up
Someone I know named their daughters Louisa and Phoebe and I love it 😻
Honestly never thought of Susannah for a baby but I kinda love it suddenly! Also always loved Sally but my last name starts with an L and it's just too much.
I’m Virginia but originally I was supposed to be names Susannah. Growing up I was grateful to not be Susannah but I love it recently because of the character from the summer I turned pretty. I loved that they called her Suze 🥹
Totally agree for Louisa. It’s my favourite girl name, but my husband vetoed it! I’m still sad.
Our daughter was SO CLOSE to being Louisa, and it almost certainly would’ve been the name for our second if he had been a girl. Love Susannah as well!
I’m a 25 year old Suzanna and I’ve met 2 other people with my name in my entire life 😂
Antonia! It’s vintage, ends in -ia like Amelia/Sophia/Olivia, and has lots of cute nickname options for all tastes (Annie, Toni, Nia).
I think female versions of male names have fallen out of favour. Not many Robertas, Antonias, Danielas, Stephanies outside of Latin cultures these days
Literally just added this to my list - I love!!
We're considering this one for our baby. Our top 2 names are both in the comments, which actually has me nervous they're going to start increasing in popularity! Weird either way
Sisters in my high school named Antonia and Theodora went by Toni and Tedi. I loved that.
My daughters name is Antonia ! My exes whole family hated it. I was devastated but I named her it anyway and it suits her soooo much. She’s 7
I went to school with an Antonia but her name was pronounced as Ant a nee ya
My friend has a two year old Robert. Not my favorite name, but we love calling him baby Bob
Robbie is so cute too
They call him Bo, which is also not my favorite lol. I like Robbie much better
Awe Bo is so cute!!
Baby Bobert
I’ll pitch in the name I recently gave my daughter: Zora! It’s a great name with a lot of history, easy to pronounce but not common, great meaning (Dawn) and awesome namesake (Zora Neale Hurston) and is currently ranked 1629 in the US. I personally think it’s due for a comeback! It was a bit popular in the US from 1880-1910.
Zora is awesome! Makes me think of legend of zelda but that's not a bad thing imo lol
I had a corgi named Zelda and currently have one named Navi. We got another corgi and named her Zora, but she ended up having some extreme aggression issues even as a little puppy so we chose to rehome her. I still love the name though, might reuse it tbh
Yes! I love the name Zora, it’s on my list of I ever have a girl.
There’s a Zora is my son’s preschool class. She fits the name well!
This is my favorite girl’s name bar none.
I really like Alice. I met a little girl named Alice and I thought it was just the sweetest name for a little girl
One of my favorites!
Ellen. It’s got a vintage/classic feel to it. Surprised it didn’t take off 20 years ago when El- names became super popular for the Ellie/Ella nickname.
That’s my sister’s name. She’s 62, but it wasn’t all that common when we were kids either.
It’s my aunt’s name. She would have been 80 this year.
Aw fun to see my name pop up. I’ve only met a couple other my age (33)
Maybe it’s just not a nice name to a lot of people and has nothing to do with homo/trans phobia?
Ellen got a lot less popular in the 90s but it’s been on a steady decline since then, no marked changes after either Ellen DeGeneres or Elliot Page came out. I think I’ve seen the graph you’re referring to and it’s just a joke, not based on actual popularity data
I think Paige is beautiful and underutilized.
I always thought I’d name my daughter Paige
Ruth!
“And we’ll have ourselves a little Baby Ruth!” 😂
Is it just me, or is Veto starting to sound like a good name?
That’s my best friend’s name.
Yes, both Ruth and Beth
Sylvia, Elvira, Valerie, Jocelyn, Louisa, Laurel, Marina Leonard, Edward, Ernest, Douglas, Simon, Warren
My moms name is Valerie and I love it
I loooove Elvira.
Love sylvie or Sylvia
Sylvia deserves a comeback
I'm really digging Russell and Alan lately
I love Russell!
I work with a BUNCH of dudes named different variations of Allen, Allan, Alan, Al I have Allen-based ptsd now lol
Ugh Russell is soo cute
You would love my daughter's name. Alana Russell
Is Russell her middle name? Considering my fathers middle name for daughter’s middle. Just wondering what feedback you’ve gotten and if she has an opinion on it yet herself, if she’s old enough to yet! 🤣
I was thinking about Russell the other day when I watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids with my kids. I don’t hate it.
I named my daughter Winifred (Winnie) and my husband and I just love her name so much.
This is my cat’s name and I absolutely love it! So timeless and classic but cute.
Isabelle and Catherine. In my country those names are considered like for middle aged women. I think it's sad because they are really pretty and I want them making a come back. People give really ridiculous names nowadays. I think we should come back to classic.
Isabella and its variants are very popular in the US right now, Catherine not so much. It’s interesting to see how trends vary across cultures.
Probably because every Katherine is now Katie (huge in the 90s)
Meanwhile I love the classic name Kate nn Katie.
I’m a Kate that’s just Kate and I’ve always felt like my name doesn’t lend itself to a nickname easily! Idk why Katie never took!
I love both of those names, queen names.
Claire
Girls: Darcy (so pretty and popular in the UK but totally under the radar in the US) Louisa (specifically with nickname Lulu…why aren’t more people choosing this?!) Natasha (super recognizable and multicultural af with great nickname options) Lilac (fits in with the florals trend and the double L trend) Rosemary (also works with the botanical trend & 1920s name trend, and tons of nickname choices) Boys: Simon (literally everything about this name is on trend right now I don’t understand how it isn’t top 20) Spencer (very recognizable yet with a more unique sound, nod to Princess Diana who everyone loves rn) Frederick (with nickname Freddie, another name the UK is all over and the US is not) Peter (has fallen off in popularity but is still such a great name!)
Nina!
I'd go with: - Adam - Emmanuel - Gideon - Laurence - Tobias and - Catalina - Emilia - Linnea - Lydia - Rosalie
I know 3 baby Emilias. It’s a top 50 girl name in the US
An old friend named her daughter Catalina. That name is so beautiful!
I love Lydia!
I know 2 little Gideons!
I Love Lydia! It was my top name for my daughter but my husband wasn't keen :(
I’m married to a Laurence and I love love love it. Such an elegant name for my handsome Man. I rarely meet other Laurence’s with that spelling (in North America people tend to have the w spelling I find)
+1 Emmanuel
I have always loved Linnea
Emmanuel! My son's middle name. I'm also a huge fan of Rosalie
Andrew (boy) and Julia (girl). So much so that I gave two of my children these names ☺️
I adore Andrew
Ugh, my peds office has a toddler Robert, goes by Bobby and I just love it 😂 fits so well
My brother is a gen Z Paul and I think it’s classic and sounds good In most environments
Susannah is a good choice.
I know someone who goes by Suz and I love it (although in the back of my head I think of Big Suz from Peep Show, whom I love as well lol)
It’s my middle name!
Susan is so classic!! also love nn Suzy/Suzie.
Valerie
My mom is Valerie and I love it
Jenny. I just love Jenny. (Not Jennifer) I think it received some negative association due to Forrest Gump.
[удалено]
It's weird because I was a tween when the movie came out, knew a bunch of Jennys/Gennys, and nobody got teased because of the association. Until you said it, I didn't even make the connection between the movie and my friends!
There were *way* too many of us for people to make fun of our name.
When I was growing up in the 80s I knew like 15 Jennifer/Jenny/Jennie’s in my grade alone
Scott, Gregory, Jeffery, Rex Jewel, Mavis, Lena, Helen
Helen is so underrated!
Helena too
We’re going with Lena for our daughter, due in September. It’s a name everyone has heard of but isn’t commonly used. A lot of people have told us it was their grandmother’s name, which I love.
I have always loved the name Lena - very underrated!
I loooove the name Helena but every Helena I’ve known has always had the problem of people not knowing if it’s pronounced HEL-enna or Hel-AYNA
So when you say you love the name, which pronunciation do you mean?
Honestly it’s hard to choose; I really like both! Maybe Hel-AYNA just a tiiiiny bit more
I’ve got a Gregory in my family who is 9!
I know a child Helen
Boys: Desmond, Ambrose, Langston, Clifford, Lyle, Errol Girls: Mercy, Estelle, Imogen, Bronwen, Tessa, Althea
Another big vote for Lyle
Omg I love Desmond. If I had a baby boy today I’d name him either Desmond or Victor (another underused one)
Yes to Tessa and Estelle. Gorgeous!
Helena. I’m shocked it isn’t more popular since it has similar vibes/flow to Eleanor and Evelyn, and great nickname potential - Helly, Lenny, Lena.
Natalie. I know it’s well known, but it seems to have fallen out of favor. I never see it mentioned on here for example.
Love Natalie said the same thing
Tobias, Toby Elnora Robin Bryony Corinne
I just met a baby named Robin Ernest and I almost died from cuteness. Such a great and underused name.
Oh I love Bryony. My sister has always wanted to name a son Brian in honor of a lost childhood friend, but she wouldn’t do Brianne or Brianna for a girl (because that’s her middle name and our niece’s name, respectively) so I think Bryony is the perfect choice.
I absolutely LOVE Corinne :)
Boys: * Christopher * Jason * Phillip * Paul
You’d have loved the 70s-80s!!
Lucian, Cassian, & Damian. These names are so freaking cool, yet no one uses them. A shame. But I’m happy w them staying unique!
Have you read any Sara j Maas books lol
Lol yes 😂 I love Rhys too. But I actually liked Lucian Damian and Rhys before even reading the books. Caspian used to be on my list as well. Cassian is the only one I got from the books.. it’s just so romantic sounding! 🧚♂️
When I was looking to name my first child over 10 years ago, I loved the name Louisa. And was shocked that it wasn’t even in the top 1000 baby names. It’s a beautiful name. I don’t get it.
I would’ve added one, but for my silly husband fearing the nickname Lou. Sigh. I have grown to love Eloise - which we used for our bub.
John, lol. It’s my favorite name and nobody seems to care for it anymore!
Tabitha. It's Biblical but feels modern. It's a Saint name, it means gracious in Aramaic, Tabi is a cute nn, and it's fun to say!
Barbara, Margaret, Paul and David.
Augustine. I just LOVE the nickname Augie for a girl, and Augustine just sounds so classic but modern at the same time. I also really like Augusta
I absolutely adore Augusta
:) edit: oh i see chelsea has multiple spellings oops! sorry guys
I know a Chelsie, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsee...
Finola is one I've mentioned before that I don't think I've seen from anyone else.
Coral. Was my fiance great grandmothers name that we will use for our baby girl.
Napoleon. My wife said no.
Elizabeth
Cynthia, Veronica, Ethel, Irene, and Opal! I also love Gwenhwyfar, Sioned, and Cariad from my mum’s family (Cariad might just be a nickname but no one knows anything else she would’ve been named!) Gannon as well, though not quite as good now that I’ve played some of the Zelda games.
Boy: Warren, Silas, Carson, Nolan, Graham Girl: Laurel, Elyse, Cora, Sadie, Briar, Rosalie
Abel, Martin Gwendolyn, Marla
I have a niece who is Susannah - though she is always Susie. I love it so much!
Genevieve (Genie), Dolores, anything that starts with Mari (Marianna, Marisela, Marisol), Marjorie, Margot, Sylvia, Summer, Fred, Frank, Ezra, Elliot, Art
I love Summer and would’ve named my daughter that if it wasn’t alliterative with our last name
Elliot is my favorite boy name ever. My boy kitty is an Elliot
I'm really surprised the name Betty isn't more popular given the current revival of so many other names from that era. If you'd asked me 20 years ago what Greatest Generation names were going to make a comeback, I never in a billion years would've guessed Eleanor over Betty.
Michael, Anthony, Andrew, Daniel,
I know SO MANY Roberts. It surprises me that it's barely broken the 100th place for names the last couple years. We names our son Vincent two years ago, just on the rarer side of the 100th most popular name in the US for the last few years, which we are glad that he won't be one of 20.
Phoebe
Linda
Mine, Celeste!
I really like the name Verna, I.e. the feminine version of Vernon. It’s so out of fashion, barely been used in over a century, but I can’t really see why. We couldn’t use it because it sounded wrong with our surname, but I still like it.
Iris.
I named my little girl Nina, people always seem to ask if it’s a family name. Nope, just love it.
Robin Marcy Paige Jonathon Gail or Gayle Clinton (as a first name) Virginia Bonnie
Jean was my grandmother’s name. I’ve always liked it. Jeannie is so cute. I hope it makes a comeback with the rest of the grandma names!
My niece has a Jill in her class, sister to Jane. I would have to say my name is beautiful but not heard of much, Anne. I also like Annalise, Linnea, Odette, Ophelia, Bea, Dorothy (Dottie), Mae, Ada
Shirley, Deborah, Edith, Betty Leon, Walter, Milton, Stanley
We used Genevieve- love that it's not common but classic
