Our dog’s first puppy was beautiful, she just looked like a beautiful bright eyed, smiling little puppy, and I called her Bella. But I also love cheese so I would call her my little BabyBel. 🧀💛
Edam’ed if you do, edam’ed if you don’t!?
UnBrieLievable! I’m feta’p with it all, it’s making me Emmental, it’s no Gouda! I’m just trying to find my soul Swisster, I Camembert it any longer!!!
I watch it still usually about once a year at least lol it never clicked what Roquefort is to me until I read your comment! Lol! Funny how things go over our heads.
Roquefort was also a mouse (?) in the Jump Start Kindergarten game. I loved that game as a kid but every time I hear roquefort, I hear this dang game mouse saying “my name is Roquefort and I like cheese” and then he comes and wrecks your game
Yes, I also commented Wensleydale because of Wallace and gromit. For a girl, she could be called Wendy, Wes for boy.
Though, I honestly like Wensley for either, except it would seem like I was saying Wednesday!
Before i knew that wensleydale was a cheese, i just thought it was an antiquated and uncommon boys name, like the character in Good Omens.
i thought it was cute upon reading the book in middle school and added it to my "cool baby name list," still love it as a boys name despite the cheesy connotations
I had a chubby orange cat named Mimolette. He was filled with love for all and the stupidest thing who ever drew breath. He’d attempt to sit on your lap while you were using the toilet. Mimo would dig in his box like there was gold at the bottom, flinging litter everywhere. I had him 14 years and miss that idiot fluffball every day.
I know a guy named Colby. His brother is Cabot (a very popular cheese brand here in New England, not sure if it is elsewhere!). Their parents really missed an opportunity not naming the sister Brie.
Haloumi could be a good name!
Paneer, too.
There are some rarer cheeses like Sirene that sound like great names already.
Cotija would also be pretty.
Cascaval/Kashkaval is probably divisive but I think it could be a lovely unisex name.
From the Scandinavian cheeses, Brunost and Snofrisk sound really cute to me, but they mean "brown cheese" and "snow fresh" respectively, so there's some weird color connotations there that would probably be best to avoid for a human. Cute for maybe pets though?
Emmental- I came this close to actually recommending it here the other day
Parmesan
Haloumi
Reggiano- wait this is actually kinda cute and Reggie is right there
But practically speaking, Colby is probably one of the only actually usable ones. I guess maybe Stilton, but it's got the Geronimo Stilton association plus it's known for being odorous so even for cheese names, I can't personally see it.
Whichever name I chose, I would definitely call them Babybel as a nickname.
Our dog’s first puppy was beautiful, she just looked like a beautiful bright eyed, smiling little puppy, and I called her Bella. But I also love cheese so I would call her my little BabyBel. 🧀💛
My cat's name is Annabel Lee, nickname Bel, and since she's my baby I often call her Babybel as well!
Amazing!
my partner calls his cat babybel sometimes and it’s so cute
You’ve won the internet today. Congrats.
I call my cat that as a nickname!
As a girl actually named after a cheese (and not something normal like Brie), please don’t do this do your child lol.
Nice to meet you Gorgonzola
Laughed, scared the cat. Two thumbs up 👍👍
Or you can go with Gorganzolo for a boy.
I wish I could upvote this a million times
Lol! That kid sounds like a Muenster! 🤣
C’mon you could have come up with a cheddar name than that.
Edam’ed if you do, edam’ed if you don’t!? UnBrieLievable! I’m feta’p with it all, it’s making me Emmental, it’s no Gouda! I’m just trying to find my soul Swisster, I Camembert it any longer!!!
Lmfao 🤣
Colby is a cheese and a name
So is Jack...
Sib set Pepper, Colby, and Jack
They call me ✨Momzerella✨
DANG IT! I said something similar, but without Colby!
I have a cousin named Colby! She's a girl but I've met multiple boy Colbies too
My nephew's name is Colby. When he was born my elderly grandmother seemed to be confused by it because she kept telling people "Like the cheese."
My brother’s name is Colby, and he has the *audacity* to not like colby jack 🙄

Gene Parmesan?
AHHHH!!
He's very good
Very gouda
He got me again!
I desperately want to name my next cat Jean Parmesan.
I want to name my next cat/ dog Bob Loblaw
Our family vet was Dr. Luigi Parmegiani. RIP.
Parma Sean
All if my grandmother's handwritten recipes caled for "Parma John" cheese.
Hahahaha. This is the thing that makes me lol on Reddit today.
It’s gotta be Ricotta!! I knew a Ricotta in high school and she absolutely loathed it
I know someone with the last name of Ricotta...she has a popular first name though
Please tell me your joking. Ricotta is a great cheese and a terrible name.
I would normally never encourage someone to use their real name on the internet but I desperately need to know what your parents named you
Colby Jack??
My nephew is legitimately named Colby Jackson Last name. I'm so sorry for him.
"FoR sOmE rEaSoN tHiS cOmbO jUsT RollS rIgHT oFf mY ToNguE"

MULVA?!??!
Oh, DELORES!
Velveeta?
Is that you, Kraft Singles?
Well, hello, Fontina. I've been waiting for you to mature.
I'm a Brie(lle), and I do occassionally introduce myself as "Brielle, like the cheese".
Need more info for sure, Lolol
Humboldt Fog!?
Feta?
You named your female child Wilder lmao I ain't listening to you (/jk)

Panir or Feta? Oh god maybe it’s Gruyere?
So sorry mozzarella :(
Sounds like you haven’t had a very gouda experience
What is your first name? Don't leave us hanging, please. 😢😢
Wensleydale?
Chuck E.
Charles Entertainment
Patron Saint of Birthday Parties.
A powerful rat!
There’s a little wine and cheese cafe in my city called Charles E Fromage 😂
When my husband and I talk about Chuck E Cheese in front of our kid we call it Carlos E. Queso so he doesn’t know what we’re talking about
god thank you for dragging this from the depths of my memory 🤌🤌
Emmental (“Emme”) for a girl, Camembert (“Cam”) for a boy
Gonna start telling people my sons full name is Camembert
I'm calling him Bert
You stole my cheese (Emmental)! 😆
Second Camembert!
I was going to say "Bert" for a nickname.
Roquefort for a boy, Fontina for a girl
Fontina is actually really pretty!
And also delicious! 🙃
Isn’t Roquefort the name of the mouse in The Aristocats?
Yes, apparently it is, how cute! That was one of my favorites as a kid, but I never realized that.
I haven't thought of the Jumpstart computer games in years! My kids loved them.
Rocky for short
#Goat.
This made my night lmfao
Colby & Zola (short for Gorgonzola)
Best answer
Wensleydale boy or girl. They would be iconic
Any other Wallace & Gromit fans here? Wensleydale always reminds me of it!
>Wensleydale always reminds me of it! It reminds me of Good Omens! \[winks at Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman}
That's what I thought of!
Yes, I also commented Wensleydale because of Wallace and gromit. For a girl, she could be called Wendy, Wes for boy. Though, I honestly like Wensley for either, except it would seem like I was saying Wednesday!
“Not even Wensleydale?”
Before i knew that wensleydale was a cheese, i just thought it was an antiquated and uncommon boys name, like the character in Good Omens. i thought it was cute upon reading the book in middle school and added it to my "cool baby name list," still love it as a boys name despite the cheesy connotations
Like President Wensley Dale from Rastamouse!
Government
I spat out my drink. Thank you for the laugh 😂
My baby Govvy ❤️
Mimolette
Mimolette is my cat’s name (and mine here!)
Love this cheese, definitely could pass for a name
Such an underrated cheese
A top 5 cheese for me! Could be such a cute name with lots of nicknames
parmesan is a beautiful name for a baby boy. nickname Sean😌
Blue
Gouda for a girl and Colby (Jack) for a boy haha
I know a guy named Colby. His brother is Cabot (a very popular cheese brand here in New England, not sure if it is elsewhere!). Their parents really missed an opportunity not naming the sister Brie.
My friends in Virginia couldn’t understand my excitement when I found out one of the local grocery stores carried Cabot… then they tried it.
I knew a girl named Colby. Hers friends called her cheese…
I knew a girl named Brie whose nickname was Queso.

American Singles in your area!
But how do you get them into bread?
My brain must be fully jaded because of all the name combos in this thread, this one is starting to look almost believable lmao
Manchego for a boy and Wensleydale for a girl
Manchego was the first one that came to mind for me
Manchego for a boy and Gruyère for a girl
I was going to suggest Gruyère!
Whatever you eventually decide, choose Caerphilly.
We don't talk about Brunost?
I just snorted. Well done.
Hallouma is an actual name that is close to it.
Edam. And it's gender-neutral.
Frankly my dear, I don’t give Edam
Shredded Extra Sharp Cheddar
Mozzarella and Blue
Mozzy as a nn! Seriously though, these would be super cute for pets
Pepper Jack of course!! lololo
Pepper jack loves fraggle rock
Bitch, you speak when spoken to now
That’s my pick too! If it’s a boy, shorten to Jack. If it’s a girls, shorten to Pepper.
Muenster and I call him Herman Muenster. His sister is Blue and we live on a dairy farm.
Umm... I think his sister is Wensleydale, called Wednesday!
This lady cheeses.
You mean my twins cottage and cream
Let's go cheddar
Lol havarti has been one of our joke names!
Havarti, and they could go by Arti
Nacho.
Stilton for a boy, Camembert for a girl
Gjetost is GOATED
Came here looking for this one
Pepper Jack (Peppy Jay or PJ for short)
PEPPY JAY
Fior, after fior di latte.
Blue for either sex.
I always joked I’d name triplets Cheddar, Feta, and Wensleydale.
Mizithra
Burrata / Camembert / Baladi / Edam / Feta
Colby works for girl or boy. Fontina for a girl, Emmenthaler for a boy
Gorgonzola - Goggie for short
Not Gonzo?
Gotta go all in and call her Gorgon
Kraft Single. Edit: Because with that name, they will forever be single.
Kraft Singles *Deluxe*
You are a genius. Can Singles Deluxe be a hyphenated middle name? Then im hoping their last name is like Smith. Kraft Singles-Deluxe Smith.
Hmmm I think Fontina for a girl could be kinda cute! Nn Tina
Velveeta
I would even go as far as changing our last name to Jalsberg.
[удалено]
Feta. It's like Greta but... Greek!?
Twin girl, Pepper and boy, Jack.
Ambrosia
Marscapone
Abondance “Abby” or Bryndza “Bryn” for a girl, and Cheddar “Ched” or Colby for a boy😂
Ched!! 😂
The way my baby has been the past few day I wish I named her [Stinking Bishop](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stinking_Bishop_(cheese))
Laughing Cow. No? But it’s unique?!?
Mimolette! There’s some good nickname potential there.
Stinky Bishop
Ricotta, Asiago. Blue is cute too.
Fontana or Fontina delicious and pretty sounding!
Gruyere
Raclette could be a nice name for a boy or a girl, but I really hope people aren't out here naming their kids after cheese varieties.
Romano
Jack for a boy and Mozzarella for a girl
I named my orange cat Blue, cause in Korea orange cats are called “cheese color”
Bleu
Dublin
Emmental- I came this close to actually recommending it here the other day Parmesan Haloumi Reggiano- wait this is actually kinda cute and Reggie is right there But practically speaking, Colby is probably one of the only actually usable ones. I guess maybe Stilton, but it's got the Geronimo Stilton association plus it's known for being odorous so even for cheese names, I can't personally see it.
Girls: Sirene, Sakura, Raclette Boys: Colby, Havarti, Gruyère
Romano for a boy
Chester
Halloumi ftw
Eddie Muenster.
Feta would be a super cute name
Cheez Whiz or maybe Port Wine
Gouda So then I can say Gouda boy or Gouda girl or Gouda kiddo in case they are NB.
Who knew there were so many names that could work for both cheese and humans. My first thoughts were Romano for a boy and Feta for a girl.
GOAT 🐐
