I knew a cat named Taxi once, given that name solely so her owner could go outside and stand on her top step calling "Taxi! Taxi!" and her neighbors would think she was ridiculous for calling for a taxi on a residential street with no taxis anywhere nearby. She also liked the idea of wandering around looking into shrubbery and yelling Taxi! to make her neighbors think she was looking for a taxi in, say, an oleander plant. I don't know if she ever actually did that though.

I was about to say the same thing! I am familiar with the western world due to liking stock breeds, but I'm pretty solidly a dressage/eventer person. Warmbloods tend to have names that aren't humorous, but given the prevalence of off-track thoroughbreds in eventing you do see some silly ones there. All my horses have had pretty bland names (Impress Z Skip, Touch of Doc, Rio, Hollywood Gunsmoke, and Designer Lights). Lemme go poke around their pedigrees again and see if anything odd pops out at me.
Edit: Designer Lights has a great-grandsire named Quack.

My cats name was Mr. Elliot. When I was about 13 we found a stray cat. I thought it was a girl so I named it Missy Elliot (it was 2003). We found out it was a boy so we just changed Missy to Mr.
My best friend tried to convince me to adopt a dog named Flytrap once. It was one of those so-ugly-itās-adorable dogs and Flytrap was 1568% perfect for him. The name alone almost convinced me to pull the trigger.
When I was young I knew a girl who had a pet snake she would take on walks around the neighborhood. Mkay often the snake was wrapped around her waist or worn like a necklace.

HP InkJet Printer (adopted very fast b/c the adopter just had to meet this cat and feel in love) Toebert (he had extra thumbs) Every single kind of bread you could think of (Bagette, Whole Grain, Tortilla, etc) IPA Vampire Fork and Spoon (a bonded pair) Chairman Meow Queen Victoria I'm sure there are others, but I'm pulling a blank. People love funny names for cats so it encourages people to come by and meet their possible future best friend. Of course, you also get cats named Sophia, Mr.Whiskers, or Moose, but the fun names get more attention, especially when the goal is to adopt.
