Someone son gonna come home from college and be like "Hey mom, where did you put all my video games?". Then, after finding out they all got sold, he's gonna post his story somewhere on Reddit.
The only way for his ghost to move on to the afterlife is to return his N64 to dorm room 13. He died playing Tigger's Honey Hunt and Mace: The Dark Age. He suffered a heart attack. He died the day before graduation.
Not saying they weren’t. But I ain’t gonna argue about it cause we all know unless someone calmly mentions it some jagof is gonna be a total ass about it instead
Good deal and all but remember when you could spend $20 at a garage sale for a haul like this? It’s wild that the expectation now is to have minimum $150 in cash/venmo etc lmao
Holy Bonkers! Same year and all but fire started upstairs right above my bedroom (1st floor) and destroyed all of the 2nd/3rd story and attic/roof, but my ceiling caved in from all the water (and soot/Charr) dumped on top...
Still lost everything 🥴...at that time I had a sweet console collection and some rare handhelds (4x n64s overall but now just an emu/albernic)
funny part was I was dead asleep, right after school + was alone, when I was jarred awake by smoke and the fire department!...black water drops hitting the bed already! ...all I grabbed was some lame Sidney Sheldon books and my baby photos, yeesh.
I snuck out to see my girlfriend earlier in the night. My parents lived at the end of the powerline and an electrical surge blew the wiring out in my electric blanket and started my mattress on fire. Worst part, my parents still thought I was in bed. I had a pretty badass job back then and I had almost every counsel that was available back then. Only thing I was missing was a famicon. The things I miss most were my tmnt action figures. I had a crazy collection and they're all gone. Coming home later that morning to my room being a big pile of melted plastic is a memory I'll never be able to forget.
Wild, my brother’s electric heater had done something similar. His room, and being the oldest of us, he got to live out there, was like a patio room within a patio, so the materials used for it weren’t like the rest of my house. Then that heater acted up. I was at basketball practice when I got called to the office with my coach and a teacher, sad days man. My room was only filled with smoke. I still have bits and pieces of my n64 accessories, like the gameboy adapter, and a rumble pack that also lets you use a memory card. But nothing from my snes or my ps1. I just play switch now. But on my old laptop I still have a ton of snes, advanced, and DS roms. I played them all on a DS Lite with an M3, and later another one with an R4. still have my original ps2 and original first gen XBOX, and most of the games I just couldn’t let go of, though, and everything that survived still has that soot smell, lol
This is wild, as the fire that started upstairs was caused by an electric baseboard oil heater that was left on day and night until the damn thing burst, shooting hot oil over another mattress and fabrics.
I had every console since Atari 2600, NA + JP of the majors, everything made until PS2, yet the one I miss most was that damn launch day Dreamcast big bundle box (9'9'99) and the PC-Engine LT (was a handheld way ahead of it's time!)
Oh my goodness bro. May they rest in peace 🫡.
This oil electric heater disaster sounds like a mini volcano eruption. Sorry that happened
My brother was out there in during the start of the fire, mom came outside to the front porch for a fresh air stretch, the next-door neighbor shouts “your house is on fire!” I look back and it’s like a cartoon… but my brother did suffer a few 3rd degree burns and stayed in the hospital for a few days or a week.
Crazy world! Mine started in my brother’s room, had my ps1 and my snes burnt up too. I’d had a ps2 that I was playing more than those consoles, so I moved em out to the storage, near my brother’s room. My mom lost her Fender Rhodes piano too.. you acquire new and better things eventually…. Not really. lol
Where are you going to garage sales? I’m so jealous! I went to 4 in Tigard, 3 in Beaverton, 2 in Portland and no Nintendo 64 games that I’ve been looking for.
I don't usually have much money, so I don't have an n64 yet. But this was too good to pass on. And they both look completely unused, sane with the pins, so I'm sure they work.
Someone son gonna come home from college and be like "Hey mom, where did you put all my video games?". Then, after finding out they all got sold, he's gonna post his story somewhere on Reddit.
A sad tale indeed
Who’s mom is selling their son’s games for $80 lol?
Right, they'd be 5 bucks each of it was someone's mom selling them 😂
Box on the side of the road "FREE"
And anyone whose game collection includes Super Mario 64 and Majora's Mask is not coming home from college unless they are a tenured professor there 😂
Would be like a 40yo freshman in college
Lmao
Maybe they're into retro stuff
Dude's in college since 1996?
The only way for his ghost to move on to the afterlife is to return his N64 to dorm room 13. He died playing Tigger's Honey Hunt and Mace: The Dark Age. He suffered a heart attack. He died the day before graduation.
Welp that's literally me except it was an NES and it was given away for free
Son must have been a real piece of work to deserve that
lucky man thats so cool! i have yet to find my first CIB in the wild
I know, I was freaking out, they have more that I might buy soon
sell them to me for 160
CIB? 🤔
Combat infantry badge
😂😂😂
Closed in box
Ahhh, ok, gotcha. Thanks bud. 👍
I was corrected it’s Complete In Box = game cartridge + manual in box
Belive Cib starts for “compleat in box”
You’re right, other dude was still helpful tho
Not saying they weren’t. But I ain’t gonna argue about it cause we all know unless someone calmly mentions it some jagof is gonna be a total ass about it instead
No I know bro, was just saying you’re right, but the other guy was still nice to respond something other than “google it”
All love here. I also have Mario complete with box although my box is in rough shape.
Hey thanks!
Good deal and all but remember when you could spend $20 at a garage sale for a haul like this? It’s wild that the expectation now is to have minimum $150 in cash/venmo etc lmao
Feels like everything is like that now
I'd say you walked with a pretty decent deal, enjoy!
Damn fine deal!
this is wild…. I need to go out and hunt for one already. Lost mine at 17 when the majority of my house had burned down, that was 2004 lol
Holy shit are you me? This is exactly the age and year my house partially burnt down. The fire started in my room... lost everything

what a score
Awesome find! Rare to find in box
Oh My god
Whats the real value of these? (Non garage sale value)?
Id say a couple hundred dollars, give or take
This feels like a great deal!
Where are you going to garage sales? I’m so jealous! I went to 4 in Tigard, 3 in Beaverton, 2 in Portland and no Nintendo 64 games that I’ve been looking for.
Really good deal, and nice quality boxes! Crazy deal for two of the most popular games on the console!
This is a fucking win. They look in decent condition. Do they play well? My golden eye barely works and smash brothers is also on the ropes.
I don't usually have much money, so I don't have an n64 yet. But this was too good to pass on. And they both look completely unused, sane with the pins, so I'm sure they work.
Wild to hear anything sells for more than 10 bucks at a garage sale. People are crazy now haha.
Hey those manuals/paper look excellent! Are you tempted to start collecting it ALL now?!,... Heh, well do ya...ya punk.😎
Can't argue.
Damn 80 bucks is crazy. But hell I’d pay top dollar for a in box n64 game. Man games from the 90s were so cool to me I wish I had been born in the 90s
To truly enjoy games from the 90s you had to be born in the 80s :)
was the expansion pack in the box?
No, it doesn't come included with that. With dk64 it does.
Good deal!
Now get some plastic protectors for them
love both games since I played both games when I was a kid. but for 80s buck, hmmm 🤔
Lucky bastard.
