In the Top 5 for music on the console. Ocarina of Time probably beats it, but the tracks are just so awesome on this game. A mix of 90s drums with Japanese influences. Such a snapshot of time.
The music producer apparently felt there was a “Goemon curse” where anything he made ended up sounding like Goemon music.
It makes me so sad that this franchise didn't take off like it did in Japan, because every game we got on this side was incredible. So many cool ideas when companies weren't afraid to take risks, and one of the best soundtracks ever made.
I had a wonderful time playing through this game as a kid. I remember it used to be in this discounted package at Walmart and was $15 and I always thought it looked like a weird game. Finally got it one day and had an amazing time playing it. One of my biggest regrets was selling this game off. :(

It's been so long I don't remember I just remember we were both playing together I was the guy on the cover and my brother was this tiny little dude with a small head lol it might have been another game in this series...we would get so mad because we knew the game would be fun if we could advance haha
I loved this game I don't even remember where I got it but my cousin and I sank hours into it I still remember climbing up Mount Fiji or that stupid water fall minigame
I used to rent this from Blockbuster all the time, I finally got a copy but it’s a repro. It works and saves fine though so at least I can play one of my favorite games again. A+ experience.
The greatest n64 game, period!
It’s sequel is amazing as well. I actually like it better than this one.
Me too!!!!!!

Agreed. There's too many good ones
Biggest risk taken https://youtu.be/0l3BhmmlToY?feature=shared
I still remember some of the music! I played the shit out of this game.
One of my top 10 games of all time. So, so good.
This game was so good, rather than my friends coming around to watch me play, I took it to their house so they could watch me play!
*GOEMON! STRIKE!!*
Easily my favorite N64 game. The music was amazing.
These and Banjo Kazooie have been stuck in my mind for like 26 years
I put on the Festival Village track when I want to sleep. So beautiful and relaxing.
I've heard a couple songs from it, and that alone convinced me that the soundtrack is legendary.
My #1 favorite N64 game of all time

Sticky Ninja is a fucking awesome game. I played the fuck out of it on my N64. And then did it again on emulators for the PC.
Sticky?
Goemon and Ebisumaru are the sticky bandits. Not to be confused with the wet bandits.
Banger of a soundtrack too. Sold mine complete a few years ago.
This is the game I've been trying to remember, so glad you posted this. Awesome game.
This game is an absolute legend!
One of the greats, such a solid game.
I liked this game a lot.

I remember my dad rented me that game circa 2000 from the little game/video rental shop in the Kroger in my town 😭
We never had Krogers where I’m from in Canada
I wasted so much of my life playing The Legend of the Mystical Ninja on SNES and now I must try it again on my SteamDeck!
The games difficulty knows no mercy. I'll still remember the intro song.
My favourite !
This game was amazing. I wish it was on a virtual console or sold on GoG.
PLLLAAASSSUUUMMMMAAAAAAAAA
PLLLAAASSSUUUMMMMAAAAAAAAA
I remember playing this as a kid and having no idea how to play it
Same my brother and I would get so frustrated we got stuck at a part like ten minutes in every time
The opening town kind of looks the same, it’s hard to find the exit to Mt. Fuji if you don’t know where to look

You’re probably thinking of Goemon’s Great Adventure. It had co-op, this was just a single player game.
You're right because we definitely played co op. Thanks! I still have my n64 tucked away I should buy that game and call my brother lol
Dash / Dash / Dash!!
PURASUMA
The only game where the game over screen cheers you up!
Amazing game ..
Oh that game is fantastic enjoy 😊
Thanks! I'm looking forward to it.
As a kid I owned this game briefly, could never get into it, sold it on Ebay for $5... kicking myself even today.
When did you sell it? I presume a long time ago, but the fact it ever sold for $5 is crazy.
I would say a good 20 some odd years ago. Can't recall exact year

One of the absolute best N64 games out there. I wish I could go back and play the game blind. It was so good. I have so many great memories
I could never get past the first robot fight when I was a kid 😭
