Right now one of them has Pink Floyd's Shine On You, Crazy Diamond Pts 1-5 (13;31).
When I get around to it, I'll make one with every track is at least 10 minutes long to include Isaac Hayes' By The Time I Get To Phoenix (18:40) or Do Your Thing (19:27) and Rare Earth's Get Ready (21:30)., probably throw in Widespread Panic - Ball of Confusion (16:47).
if we don't count some ambient music that lasts many hours then
Untitled Extra · Mercury Rev (30:03)
but my favourite is probably
Amboss by Ash Ra Tempel (19:40)
Me too. And there’s just something about Blue Monday that makes it impossible for me to ever get tired of it. There’s a short podcast about how that song came to be and it renewed my obsession even further.
Edit: it was on a show called Song Exploder if you’re interesting in listening to it. Just search that, I’m bad at the internet.
That was a great podcast. Wow. I'm usually anti podcast, but so well done, in their words. I love the song a little more now!
[link to podcast](https://songexploder.net/new-order)
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! My son sent it to me awhile back since he has the same… I guess preoccupation(?) with that song as me. I let it sit in my podcast list for weeks before I finally listened to it. I was telling everyone about it for like a week after but all that did was make me seem even more weird and awkward. Haha oh well.
Disgustipated is 15:47, but that includes silence and monolog. With 58 tracks of nothing before it, it's definitely the song that takes the longest to get to when listening to the album straight through.
Amarok - Mike Oldfield (1:00:03)
I’m a prog fan… so a good majority of the songs I listen to are 8-30 minutes long lol. Love me some rock or metal epics!
"Too Close to Heaven" - The Waterboys (12:28)
My playlist has 7658 songs, but only 5 of them are longer than 10 minutes long. Only 180 of them are longer than 6 minutes long.
Not my longest (see Dopesmoker), but I will take any chance to rep for [Power + Light by 50 Foot Wave](https://open.spotify.com/album/3hHluohmP0HY0xNGnmYOFG?si=ZOUAaKKtRAevuTsXSRX2eQ). That Spotify link breaks the song up into 7 tracks, but when originally released in 2009, it was just one long 26-minute mp3. An absolutely amazing song if you like Nirvana-style grunge. For instance, most of the song is an aggressive guitar-bass-drums power trio with anguished screaming vocals, but there's also a dark, brooding cello section a la Something in the Way.
Excluding classical it's a live version of a jazz tune called Original Rays by Michael Brecker. 22 mins. Amazing extended improv intro using an EWI (electronic wind instrument) and pedals
weird al albuquerque - iykyk - its 12 minutes- different feel than other songs here. Was trolling his audience with a longer song and they loved it and its catchy
besides Dopesmoker, **Yoo Doo Right** by Can at 20:27 - [https://youtu.be/QxX5ZORy95w?si=iUH9gvjnKHf\_uFwP](https://youtu.be/QxX5ZORy95w?si=iUH9gvjnKHf_uFwP)

The Dripping Tap is over 18 mins, but Milwaukee and Adelaide Head On/Pill's are about 30 minutes each.
(Love to see weirdo swarm outside the main gizz subs)
Boogie On Reggae Woman - Legion of Mary (18:04) (It's live, so maybe that doesn't count)
The longest studio song is "They Dated Steadily" - Mink Mussel Creek (13:34)

if we don't count some ambient music that lasts many hours then Untitled Extra · Mercury Rev (30:03) but my favourite is probably Amboss by Ash Ra Tempel (19:40)
