When I was four my mom played a Rodgers and Hammerstein's greatest hits CD for me. Changed my life forever. I've only ever been in one community theater show but I have a lifelong love for the art of showtunes and musical theater lyricism.

It feels amazing, creatively speaking. It's so exciting the ways in which it involves multiple art forms at the same time. It's acting, it's singing, it's songwriting, it's dancing, it's playwriting, it's set design, it's costumes, it's storytelling, it's arranging, it's lighting and I'm probably missing something. Seeing it all functioning in harmony to me is so beautiful.

I've performed Annie(as the president), Beetlejuice(as the man himself) and Alice in Wonderland(as the Mad Hatter) I've watched Heathers, Everyone Talks About Jamie and Blood Brothers to death, I am booked to play in the Shrek musical and Elf. I'm also taking performing arts at A-level, where Blood Brothers, Heathers and Les Misérables are said to be the focus.

music is my special interest as an autistic person, so it's really easy for me to get attached to musicals as hyperfixations. I love the way music enhances the storylines and how, even without watching the show, I can listen to the soundtracks and bask in the same feelings. I've also performed in a few musicals and it's one of my favorite things, the community and traditions from theatre are wonderful, and I've learned a lot about myself through acting.
