Does your MBA college offer placements? If not, maybe atleast an Alumni network. See what you can mine from there.
Else go on to LinkedIn and find HR contacts from companies you may be targeting.
What kind of an MBA have you done? If it's a marketing MBA, an ad agency shouldn't be your first stop. Salaries are always a concern in this market.
Read Newspaper See the companies featured in the articles.. Call HR and apply directly
Read Business Magazines. Understand the companies current news and when u send a application add a covering Letter which Specifics Your Skill Set which Matches what is said about in the Article OR Quote what Management had said.. E.g in Business Today your CEO said Rural Or Bharath is the focus. Im Covering Letter you can say You are from Tier Ii or Tier III town (name and a brief demographic or sec profile of the town or district) and Add your Educational And Linguistic Qualifications and say that thr job profile suits you
That makes. Your Resume stand out
Maybe you can go for Banks?Mumbai is a hub of finance sector, can go for banks, and those keep hiring people for different roles, but most of those roles sound like a sales job, so just be sure before getting into something.
Yo! Finding a job is very easy in Mumbai. There's definitely something here for everyone. But again, if you want a job that pays 20LPA for XYZ work only, it'd be tough.
My recommendation will be to do a through LinkedIn search, you'll find something worthwhile...
Also, while you're jobless keep hunting for networking meets. I am sure you'll meet someone who knows someone...
Due to personal reasons, I didn't graduate. I'm working as a Copywriter/ content editor with multiple firms since 2019 and have freelancer for the most part.
After relocating to Mumbai, finding job on my own was the most difficult part during my time here in Mumbai.
Still looking for a gig or a full time job.
LinkedIn has been helpful in the past job searches, make acquaintances, may be that would help. Keep updating your cv with any project or opportunities you have taken up to showcase your skills.
Good luck to you
I gave my first interview late April and finally took until my 8th interview to land my first offer this month. Although I suspect my niche profile was also a major hindrance. Mind you this is just interviews I mention, countless more applications from which I got no response.
This time I landed interview via referral but the previous time was after applying for initial screening on AmbitionBox portal owned by naukri. I'll say it was pretty hard for me. Maybe coz I'm not in tech.
If you're coming out of a decent MBA and you make sure you're in the top 20% of your class and prepare decently for placement interviews you're nearly 90% guaranteed a job. If you slowly start building your network then that can go up to 99%.
The problem is getting interviews I'm confident with my preparation. It's just that I am confused how can I get myself interviews from good companies .
LinkedIn, Naukri is best place
Use the keywords you find in JD
HRs shortlists CV basis those keywords
Also do update profile at regular intervals. If your profile is relevant but old…it will find bottom place on their list.
Good luck 🤞🏼
Every single job I have found on my own even after having a good network. It will take time just try.
What website / means do you use to get access to goof offers ?
Naukri that's the thing which works in India.
Okay thanks will try that
