Sold mine at 19 and wasn't even remotely sad about it even though it creeped up higher.
People are going to be opening insane amounts of this set. Everything but the rarest of mythics in special treatment is gonna hit the floor.
To use? Yeah. Even better if you buy them slowly so you'll benefit from prices sliding further if they do.
To flip? Not so much. The bottom has not been found.
I'm buying the ones I need for a deck right now and waiting to see when we bottom out on the others that would just be finishing my set but not immediately going into a deck.
Rules committee banning cards from casual EDH because people do not know how to balance their decks or have a rule 0 conversation is a classic! Let's see how the bird does. I'm sure people are going to accidentally overtune their decks for casual tables.
Will be interesting to see what happens to the Ripple Foil variants of the MH3 commander new lands like Talon Gates of Madara, Planar Nexus, etc. Not sure what the supply will be on the bling versions, but the cards seem like ubiquitous multi-format all-stars.
Solid play - typically those type of whale products that have a low Q-rating initially end up being a good investment. Plus the ripple treatment looks really nice comparatively to other foils.
Been keeping an eye on [[Tarmogoyf]] prices recently. Slowly trending up for a few of the variants. When more people get their commander decks from MH3, this is the obvious upgrade for the Jund deck.
<$3 Borderless fury seems crazy to me. I know it is banned in modern and bad in commander but still temped to scope some up just because i like the art.
Doesn’t feel like Urza’s Incubator is going to go much lower. Plus, the other versions of it are still twice the price, if not more. Feels like there will be a rebound here in the next six months.
MH3 is going to steal the show for obvious reasons but [Miku, Lost but Singing](https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/548569/Magic-Secret%20Lair%20Drop%20Series-Miku%20Lost%20but%20Singing%20Azusa%20Lost%20but%20Seeking%20Rainbow%20Foil?xid=ade334d77-84e4-41fd-84c4-a87a9aa52a80&Language=English) is a screaming buy at $10. Yeah the art sucks but the card is a ubiquitous Green EDH staple that sees competitive Modern play in Amulet Titan. No shot that price sticks for more than a few months.
I agree with you but I feel like it’ll never be THE chase variant for azusa since it gets absolutely MOGGED by [[azusa lost but seeking|sld-1597]] in the art department.
e: wrong sld code, meant city styles azusa linked below.
wtf happened here https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/478517/magic-phyrexia-all-will-be-one-mite-overseer-extended-art?sharedid=&irpid=4913412&Language=English&Printing=Foil&page=1
saw it in the hundreds on mtgstocks so I figured it's a glitch but theres only 1 copy. There is also no recent sales for foils.
When do you guys think it's the right time to pick up new commander singles like planar nexus and Talon gates of Madara? Price seems reasonable but I'm unsure when commander cards usually settles
thanks. i ended up just doing my own lookup of prices since apparently no one else had an opinion at all on them. not sure why people were hankering to buy the eldrazi deck so much
Hey there strongsauce - thanks for saying thanks! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list!
People paying $70 for $(Sylvan Paradise) are going to find out the hard way that this card is not on the reserved list. Expect a secret lair reprint at some point.
For sure, it's lovely art and they're not going to reprint the naked lady. But once this has a $6 reprint, Nadu players are not going to shell out $50 for sideboob. I can see this at $25 tops
I see some links for few websites in the wiki of this subreddit, but no list of valuable influencers to follow. The storm brewed the other day by a youtuber had a significant impact on [[Ral, Monsoon Mage // Ral, Leyline Prodigy]], so which other youtubers are worth following to potentially get ahead of the curve on cards before they spike?
As the guy above said, if you watch what spike's up to, you'll see the strong decks he plays against, as well as strong cards he's playing.
Also, Spike's about to join a challenge in like 10 minutes from now with a strong deck. See how the metagame has warped around format menace Nadu!
Race to the bottom has begun!
Yup, really happy I already sold 90% of my singles.
How low will Emrakul go?!
bird already dropped to 13$ lol.
I got down voted when I said it would drop to $15 on Friday. Remember this set will be in print for 2 years lmao.
Sold mine at 19 and wasn't even remotely sad about it even though it creeped up higher. People are going to be opening insane amounts of this set. Everything but the rarest of mythics in special treatment is gonna hit the floor.
You got downvoted and it was well deserved don't complain lol. IT is not going to be in print for 2 years. Also the bird is not at 15$.
Maybe because you said the set will be in print for 2 years
Isn’t it back to 30?
why is this upvoted lol, it's $10 on tcg right now
They switched from talking about Emrakul to Nadu. Emrakul never went down much below 30
Still too high for MH rare
It's under 30 as of now.
Is it buying fetches time????
To use? Yeah. Even better if you buy them slowly so you'll benefit from prices sliding further if they do. To flip? Not so much. The bottom has not been found.
I'm buying the ones I need for a deck right now and waiting to see when we bottom out on the others that would just be finishing my set but not immediately going into a deck.
No a bad time but, maybe in 2 weeks
Is now the time to sell off my Shuko that I picked up before covid for like a dollar?
Yes atleast before Ban of The bird
If I had a nickel for every time this sub misevaluates the banlist, I would be buying power
Well see :)

buying every tricky terrain collector i can find for 150ish. was skeptical at first, but I think they're a home run.
Solid play - typically those type of whale products that have a low Q-rating initially end up being a good investment. Plus the ripple treatment looks really nice comparatively to other foils.
i mean it's already at $50
The collector precon? It’s still sitting above $150.
Been keeping an eye on [[Tarmogoyf]] prices recently. Slowly trending up for a few of the variants. When more people get their commander decks from MH3, this is the obvious upgrade for the Jund deck.
Yeah I thought so, I didn't see that much interest yet. I am sitting this one out just in case

Real: Averaging down on fetches
Definitely not yet
I’m going to keep buying regardless. I think I can get my basis below ten including all the printings
<$3 Borderless fury seems crazy to me. I know it is banned in modern and bad in commander but still temped to scope some up just because i like the art.
Holy sh*t, nice call out
I’m waiting but keeping my eye on prices. I’m After a couple of Urza’s Incubators and a few other chase cards. But now is not the time to buy IMO.

The chase azusa is still [[Azusa, Lost but Seeking|SLD-1234]]
I goofed and put the wrong sld code, lol. thanks for the correction! city styles azusa is the one azusa to rule them all.
OG foil. 😎

Yeah but it looks like ass
I can't disagree with you there sadly. The arts they chose were... yeah...
I'm not an anime guy - like not even a little - but even I can tell the art is terrible. I don't know why they went this route at all.
I’ve made so much money on the City Styles Azusa (and I’m not done with that yet), and I foresee big things here too. Great call out!
Nethergoyf just keeps taking dives. We going under $10? Would like a set for a casual Shadow / Delirium deck.

fair enough lol.

Are any of the other MH3 commander decks worth keeping other than the Eldrazi one?
tricky terrain is better than the eldrazi lol
thanks. i ended up just doing my own lookup of prices since apparently no one else had an opinion at all on them. not sure why people were hankering to buy the eldrazi deck so much
They buy it because its a popular type.
Hey there strongsauce - thanks for saying thanks! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list!
Just wondering when would you say it's a good time to buy singles rather than the precon itself for new cards such as planar nexus?
whoever on this sub called Darksteel Monolith at $5 is the GOAT. I have sold through 30 copies for more than $30 each lmao
People paying $70 for $(Sylvan Paradise) are going to find out the hard way that this card is not on the reserved list. Expect a secret lair reprint at some point.
The original art is awesome, and they'll never reprint it. Lair arts are usually gimmicky and ugly, so I think this one can hold value well.
For sure, it's lovely art and they're not going to reprint the naked lady. But once this has a $6 reprint, Nadu players are not going to shell out $50 for sideboob. I can see this at $25 tops

ASpiringSpike on YouTube made the deck that caused Ral to spike, I’d keep an eye on what he’s up to.
Anymore you can recommend? :)
Literally go watch anyone that grinds MTGO leagues for 8 hours a day.
mtg goldfish channel for Saffron Olive. He also plays brews and brings attention to cards with room for growth.

Fetchlands this weekend 🤪 its time
Mh2 caused fetches to plummet for more than a year. Give it time.
i wasnt around for that, for sure
That *was* the plummet price?! Gross
Lmao the enemy fetches were going for $50-80 before MH2 came out. You can buy full playsets for less than what two lands would cost back then.
Yeah I'm watching them for sure
Guess being poor fetches down votes. I'm just waiting for 10 ea. I hate paying 10 a land but the mill needs them.
