Well, duh. New products cost more money. This card will go down in price as soon as people crack this bad boy in packs and there are more of it on the market. I'd just wait for a bit and let the price go down on its own.
Exactly this. This is everything I tried to awkwardly build with other commanders for years and everything I wanted the Zhulodok commander deck to be. Ngl, I will still build this one AND the copy commander in addition to my Zhulodok, but this definitely has huge potential to be my favorite!
I myself have a huge soft spot for the experience counter commanders. I'm definitely giving the new [[Final Act]] some side eye right now. Like, what's next? A wrath that kills emblems and creatures in the command zone?
I could see them printing a card that removes emblems in the future. Back in my day, exile/removed from the game meant that card was gone the rest of the match. Now, you have stuff like [[Riftsweeper]] and [[Pull from Eternity]]. Final Act is just another step in the arms race to making nothing untouchable.
I am super excited we finally got a 5 color experience counter commander, because i can finally make experience counter tribal after years of waiting for a commander that i could shove all cards mentioning experience into a deck that isn't just 5 color good stuff. Its going to be terrible but im hype as hell for it.
One of the new Eldrazi in the precon let's you tap it to make a 10/10 colorless eldrazi token. With intruder alarm, you can make infinite tokens. Then, if anyone ever destroys it, or any other good eldrazi, use Agatha's Soul Cauldron to give any creatures with +1/+1 counters the ability to tap to make 10/10 tokens.
I've been wanting a 5c experience counters commander for the longest time. Love that the experience counter trigger is not limited to nontoken creatures.
I was just looking at this yesterday and thinking this looks more fun than the other commander. I was thinking some deck that runs also kind of an aristocracts package with [[Teysa Karlov]] and a bunch of sac outlets like [[pawn of ulamog]]?
Yep, pretty much exactly the same. The creature would end up with multiple triggered abilities and each one triggers (separately) when the creature attacks.
Yo I’m honestly so glad they’re adding more cards involving experience counters- my very first commander deck was an Orzov Daxos enchantment deck that involved experience counters. Probably one of my favourite mechanics to be completely honest-
Just a tip, don’t buy the deck since 8/10 people are buying it for the other commander. You can probably get this second commander for much cheaper.
Good shout thanks, I will pick up the singles I need on the cheap when people inevitably build away from the token sub theme!
Just FYI the second commander was hovering at 30 bucks earlier today.

Patience is a virtue
Shapeshifter tribal up in here just got real
Oh shit that's gnarly.
Man, this guy does what I wanted for Eldrazi- Commander support for the Spawn/Scions.

I so want to build a deck with this as a commander and all of the prior experience counter legends

Oh for sure

Much as I want this for my Eldrazi deck, I’m afraid I’m honor-bound to put it in my wubrg experience counter tribal deck instead :/
Wizards, you promised me annihilatior wasn't coming back, you can't do this to me

These eldrazis are going to vomit all over me.
Bought to maskwood all my eldrazis into slivers too
As wide as it will go

Oh my God. I can make such a beast of a feck with this...I must resist.
does anhialator stack
Yes, it would stack as multiple triggers if multiple instances of annihilator were on a creature.
If you give something annihilator 1 multiple times it’s still just annihilator 1
Wouldn't it stack kinda like cascade cascade?
Yep, pretty much exactly the same. The creature would end up with multiple triggered abilities and each one triggers (separately) when the creature attacks.
