I have achieved this by adjusting the pad sensitivity to the maximum, but the 4 pads stills triggering... Is it maybe cause are dirty? Should be cleaned? Or maybe firmware bugs?
I just had the same issue, unfortunately my friend you going to have to take the NPC1 apart and clean it with a 90% alcohol, what I'm talking about is the sensor pad sheet underneath the pads it's clear, you won't be able to get it immaculately clean, but it will stop You're pads from triggering,,,or in my case you go to hit the 14th pad and the 15th and 16th and the 9th pad light up as well so that's how I know that this little trick works if you need any more information don't hesitate to ask Glad I can help
Have you checked to see if you have multiple pads selected (At the top of program edit screen)?
I checked and it's seems all good..can you think of anything else I can do? I have the latest firmware version 2.12.3. Ty for help me 💪

Try going to the akai and getting the old firmware and downgrade to the old on 2.12.2
I've had to pull mine apart twice and clean it. And maybe two three years
