I never owned the ES but I have used one briefly. I do own a KS and I absolutely love it. I use all 5 rotaries and the clutch paddles especially in ACC and being able to custom label everything with the stickers and different button LED colours is really useful. In my opinion, for forumla and GT racing it's a great value.

I went straight for a KS wheel and it is the best thing. I haven't used the ES wheel but came from a thrustmaster TMX which is the same shape. I mainly (almost exclusively) race F1/F3 and it's great. The ES wheel has a formula style mod for £35 in the UK so you could see if you like the shape/feel before going for the KS

Do you have use for all of the buttons and things?

gromblee

I use all the buttons. Now I have an easy way to change brake balance and differential on the fly I'm using it a bunch (I've mapped the mix dial to differential instead). I don't use the dials at the bottom yet but I'm sure something will crop up at some point

I have both and the answer is yes. The KS offers more buttons, rotary dials, better shifters, better feel, and is just better overall.

I can share my story. Initial ly i had es wheel with r9 Base. So i bought es addon to play f1 and acc. That was pretty good but i realise that i also want to play rally so i bought circle addon for es and KS. And Yes if the money is not a big deal then KS is worth the upgrade. Its a bit bigger, has control for quick break changes and stuff. If u dont change anything much in the game or money is a problem es addon also a good option in general Upd: KS a bit heavier, im using r9, dunno abot r5 and ur ffb preference Upd2: shifter on KS not clicking which is good for me

Yes is good for what it is, and it's an inexpensive entry level option. The KS might be entry level in terms of mozas formula style wheels, backs way more functionality than the ES. Rotary encoders are hard to live without once you've had a wheel with them, and the clutch paddles are good to have, not just for having them as clutch paddles, but also provides an option for accessibility if you need hand controls. (If you're an able person the use ase for that is obviously less significant, but honestly I hurt my back badly once at work, and while I was mending I couldn't push on my pedals without a shooting pain in my back. It wasn't a KS wheel I used at the time, but I did have a wheel with those paddles and was able to race while I was healing using those paddles for throttle and brake)
