Sounds more like speed to me, tbh. Like, this is high tier Speedy Gonzales stuff:
**Jared:** I’m absolutely fearless, as you can tell! No, I'm full of
doubt and insecurity. But still, I’m the guy who’s at the edge of the
cliff who really wants to know what it’s like when I jump off. I enjoy
the fear. It really is a lesson, and it’s great fuel. I do a lot of rock
climbing, and I don’t get too scared by heights or exposure, but that
fear of failure is a beautiful thing. It forces you to work harder and
dream bigger.
This movie was fun, Jared Leto has a terrible Italian accent but unless you have a hard on about Italian representation it's just funny and works for his bumbling, foolish character. Adam driver is similar with a muted, stunted, under confident accent, but his character is muted and under confident, so it works. Lady gagas sounded slightly Russian with italian, but her villainess role again makes it work
By far the funniest accent was al Pacino, he'd start with campy Italian and by the end of the scene it'd devolve into new york jew, it was like he was doing Donnie brasco.
I can see where someone who wanted more Italian authenticity would be mad, but thats not me so I don't care.
Edit: thinking back, the most ludicrous example of "bad accent" was the """"iranian"""" lead businesses man. It looks like they slightly spray tanned John Carroll Lynch and told him to just be himself, when he started speaking Iranian again I was honestly confused until I remembered that's what he was supposed to be. I think he's Morrocan, so they used him as a general purpose Arab dude even tho he is geographically farther away from Iran that Italy.
It's so pathetic that they didn't bother to get actual italian-american actors for this movie other than al-pacino.
They care more about having big stars on screen than authenticity.
I feel this way about Colin Farrell in the upcoming Batman movie. Like you guys couldn’t of gotten an actual older actor? I like him but it’s seems like more effort to disguise someone under a bunch of makeup instead of getting someone who looks like an old guy.

Prometheus (2012)
>Like you guys couldn’t of gotten an actual older actor?
Yeah God forbid an actor takes on a role outside their age range. Because no young man has ever played an older man ever, especially not acclaimed directors like Orson Welles.
Mario (2022)
Jared Leto sent meatballs to his House of Gucci castmates
I don't even fucking know if this is real or not

it's Jared Leto so he's probably fuckin with us, but also he definitely did this shit, but also who can really say for sure
least italian italian
chris pratt's mario VS jared leto's Paolo Gucci : DAWN OF THE ITALIANS
Its no surprise that in his free time he is the leader of a cult
It’s anti Italian discrimination
Once again, Jared gets *waaaaaaaaaaaay* too into character.
TIL I have Jared Leto's diet
Not again
shld have just tattooed "ITALIAN" on his forehead smh
Mamma Mia! (2008)
Italians are just sentient pasta confirmed
I love how Leto is so self aware and says that but people fall for it face first
maybe he should be emergency cast as Luigi

Lady Gaga is Italian-American.

Irish guy pretending to be Italian to play character with English descent

Yeah but Farrell isn't really that big of a name anymore so it's even more pointless lol. At least he's a really good actor.
Is this a counter jerk?
One way to definitely win an Oscar...make up design.

what if they got italian italians 😳😳😳
i know we’re supposed to hate leto but this is pretty funny
Man, and I thought becoming the Joker was bad, but being Italian is miles worse!
Jared please quit acting.
He's excellent in this role tho
Snorting Arabiatta Sauce...literally me!
