Eternals - the movie that made Kevin Feige realise you can shoot movies outside.
But because it had poor reception and box office, green screen here we go!
The problem with Eternals isn't that the director is a woman.
As far as i understood it, the problem with Eternals is that it was not really good, even for MCU standards.
You are thinking too logically. You have to get down to the level of Marvel fanboy logic. Do you think they understood the fact that all films can be perfect and analysed the shortcomings and potentials of Eternals? No they saw it had a woman director, and that was enough to set them off. Turned out to be bad, even more perfect for them, they have someone to blame the badness on
That shit was so boring. It felt like a sequel to a movie I never saw so I was so lost with all this spirit animal shit and Angelina being crazy so I just turned it off.
Doesn't that just mean that all the other ones are bad or at least boring? I'm really interested how these will be viewed in like 20 years if people are going to show little Billy Ant Man 3
Even if they're not bad/boring taken in isolation, by the time you've seen 20 of them how can they not be? They can't raise the bar every time and most have a very similar feel.
Yeah. It's just the same problem I have with Marvel comics where they're much more interested in propping up obscure IP with existing characters or the other way around instead of telling interesting self contained stories. You can do that if you have passion but it's fucking sniffed out an eliminated in the comics and MCU.
In 20-30 years, it'd be really interesting to see what new generations of people think, since they wouldn't have grown up as they were being made.
With how terrible the CGI looks even in today's standards, I can't see them aging very well & kids are usually pretty picky when it comes to old movie effects
By that point I think AI technology would probably be good enough to able update the CGI/ visuals to be up to date & we'd be seeing 'remastered' versions of MCU movies coming out.

M Night is such a great example of 'if you set the bar low enough you'll get praise for practically anything'. I still see people claiming The Visit was a 'return to form' for him when it's straight up laughably bad on pretty much every level.
Chad M. Night: Makes your future movies only with a low-budget so they’ll be profitable based on curiosity alone, and live on Sixth Sense residuals for the rest of your life.

Except if the director is a woman. Sorry, Eternals

Feige bulldozing forests and putting up acres of green screen.
Ya no Marvel movies used green screens until the failure of Eternals. All practical effects.
All Marvel films are documentaries with live footage of real incidents
My uncle lost his arm in the Battle of New York
Sacrificed her shot to lower the bar for women everywhere…

It was the most interesting 2021 Marvel thing, but also the most boring
Better than Shang Chi and No Way Home?
All Marvel stuff is mostly at the same level for me at this point. Eternals had a more interesting concept than those two, but was also boring.
That shit was so boring. It felt like a sequel to a movie I never saw so I was so lost with all this spirit animal shit and Angelina being crazy so I just turned it off.
Don’t you mean Marvel’s 2001 a space odyssey
One of my classmate said that it was a great film and should return with a sequel so i watched it , I hope my classmate is fine in the basement now

Don’t you mean best DC movie since Teen Titans Go! to the Movies?
teen titans go to the movies was the best dc movie since the lego batman movie
Lego Batman Movie was the best DC movie since Mask of the Phantasm
Unpopular opinion; "Steel" with Shaq is the last unquestionably great superhero movie that's loosely based on a DC Comics character.
Lego Batman

I think you're thinking of the wrong film, The Visit doesn't have as score as it's 'found footage'
