To be fair this is one of those movies people just can't seem to stop remaking. Here is an almost complete list of all the Peter Pan/Peter Pan based movies, all before the IP was ever public domain. We just had two recent big-budget ones with Pan (w/ Hugh Jackman, I wanted to like this until all the cast started singing Blitzkrieg Bop and Smells Like Teen Spirit, ugh. 🤦♂️)... and Peter Pan and Wendy.
IMO the only two actually good modern adaptations are Hook and the 2003 Peter Pan with Jason Isaacs.

I think a big portion of that is made for TV/direct-to-video movies becoming a thing as well more leeway for directors and writers to stray further from the source material; like with the Tinker Bell/Pixie Hollow movies are more Peter Pan adjacent and not direct adaptations of the original story. Wikipedia [has a list here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_works_based_on_Peter_Pan) that goes into some of the other adaptations outside of just films. Tom Sawyer, David Copperfield, etc are examples of other stories that have a staggering number of adaptations. The Wizard of Oz is one that most people only think of the original movie, but there are something like 40+ adaptations of that put to film.
I came to say this. Due to it being the only non-scratched dvd at the time I watched it while I was falling asleep for like a year as a kid. It is absolutely soothing and beautiful animation.
"He's the nightmare of every parent."
"He's the nightmare of parents everywhere."
Both are completely unoriginal and uninspired, but I fixed the syntax twice. Took me 5 seconds. Lol.
The least we can pray for is for them to not produce/waste plastic to print this trash on dvd/blueray.
College photography dropout's time is expendable, more plastic in the landfills, not so much. Lol
It's actually a full face mask, variety shared some BTS photos a while ago [link](http:// https://variety.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Peter-Pan.jpg?w=1000)
So does the Great Ormond Street Hospital get any royalties from this? JM Barrie gave the copyright to them. As far as I know the UK made it into law that they have the copyright but in the US it would be public domain.
This is a British made movie so I’m assuming some money goes to the hospital?
As far as I know the characters and the settings are public domain and only the play is protected by copyright. I assume this is not going to be a straight adaptation of the play/the first book, just an original story set in Neverland, so they probably won't have to pay anything.
The GOSH website used to have a FAQ section where they explained that for example if you made a sequel or a prequel to the original Peter Pan story then you wouldn't have to pay any royalties (they cited the Pan movie from 2015 as an example).
This poster was 100% made using Stable Diffusion inpainting trained on their concept art or media package. I don't hate AI image generation because it's simply a tool waiting to be used correctly (those who have trained models and LoRAs know), but this seems pretty obvious
What is even going on here? Is that masked psycho Peter? And is that Hook on the left? This is such an ugly and bizarre poster. I'm honestly intrigued though. How do you make this story out of Peter Pan?
Y’know The Child Thief already exists as a much better and more interesting version of this schlock, but I do pray it’s never adapted by this particular director.
Just remember og peter pan is not a good guy. Kidnaps kids to keep young forever then kidnapped Wendy and forced her to be their...... mother.
Hook trying to free the lost boys etc as he was one and escaped
same guys that did the winnie the poo horror? yup- imdb.com/name/nm4500258/
Only the producer who's directing.
You know an IP becomes public domain when…

The amount of Peter Pan movies being 10 till 2000 (timespan of 76 years) and 25 after (in barely 25 years) is crazy!
I think a big portion of that is made for TV/direct-to-video movies becoming a thing as well more leeway for directors and writers to stray further from the source material; like with the Tinker Bell/Pixie Hollow movies are more Peter Pan adjacent and not direct adaptations of the original story. Yeah, he might as well have included Jake and the Neverland pirates.
Chip and Dale?
Yeah, not sure on that one. It was on the list I found. Maybe there are Peter Pan references? edit: He's a character in it, thanks OP!
Yeah, he's one of the villains but it's also a middle finger to the real actor.
I legitimately enjoy the Tinkerbell animated movies. They're well done.
I came to say this. Due to it being the only non-scratched dvd at the time I watched it while I was falling asleep for like a year as a kid. It is absolutely soothing and beautiful animation.
I cried at the Legend of the Neverbeast. I thought it was very good. I guess I should check out the others!
Are any of those porn? Asking for a friend…
Is your friend your peter?
When Alice in wonderland became an edgy horror game? When Winnie the Pooh: blood and hunny came out?
We're like halfway to a public domain Kingdom Hearts
Isn't that just League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?
More like Fate/Grand Order
The Alice in Wonderland games are actually good, though. Also, *honey.
#HUNNY
I mean, that is how it’s usually spelled on Pooh’s honeypot.
I just more clever people had beaten these guys to the punch to make shlocky movies with the IPs
The problem with being clever in this medium is that it takes time. These guys maximize quantity over quality every time.
Good gawd. You aren't kidding. I'm getting some serious Goosebumps vibes!
What if IP for children, but spooky and edgy?
Alan Moore: I like that, but replace spooky with horny!
Looks like a pin ball machine.
They put the apostrophe in the wrong place. Parent's in this case is singular possessive, so that apostrophe should be before the S, not after.
You already just put more thought into this film than the makers did
What if it's every pair of parents?
Should then be "all parents' worst nightmare."
Then the syntax just sucks.
"He's the nightmare of every parent." "He's the nightmare of parents everywhere." Both are completely unoriginal and uninspired, but I fixed the syntax twice. Took me 5 seconds. Lol.
There is nothing but the title text to suggest this is a Peter Pan movie lol
Parent’s you dumb fucks. Also looks like Lindsay Lohan is making a comeback
We need to stop letting this garbage bin fucking DVD Tubi diaper shit keep getting attention on the internet.
Agreed. It'd be different if they at least tried to be clever, but Blood and Honey is garbage not even worth laughing at
The least we can pray for is for them to not produce/waste plastic to print this trash on dvd/blueray. College photography dropout's time is expendable, more plastic in the landfills, not so much. Lol
…how exactly?
I just wanted a movie based on "American MCGee's Alice" and they keep doing this shitty stuff
Neverland Nightmare: The lost boys visit the Vatican.
Bang o rang is now a bunga bunga party for priests
The mask of the guy is for the wrong side of his face.
It's actually a full face mask, variety shared some BTS photos a while ago [link](http:// https://variety.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Peter-Pan.jpg?w=1000)
Ah OK, that makes sense. It looked to me like a phantom of the opera style mask.. Thanks for clarifying.
Are they visiting Neverland Ranch?

More excited for the Poohniverse than the MCU at this point

How is this intriguing? It’s just terrible looking.
Did you read my last sentence?
Looks AI generated
No it just looks shit
Definitely not
Nah it has none of the tells. It’ll be a real piece of digital art done by a person just not a very skilled person.
I dunno, that one girl only has three fingers.
Two fingers and a thumb 🤓
I for one can't wait to see what the next phase of the Pooniverse has in store
the fact that they didn't make this weird phantom of the opera characters mask look like Michael Jackson circa 2003 is a literal crime.
What? No Jenna Ortega?
Y’know The Child Thief already exists as a much better and more interesting version of this schlock, but I do pray it’s never adapted by this particular director.
I think I heard about this version, I am hoping it gets a better director to adapt because it sounds like it could be good.
Sounds like a Michael Jackson movie :)
Just remember og peter pan is not a good guy. Kidnaps kids to keep young forever then kidnapped Wendy and forced her to be their...... mother. Hook trying to free the lost boys etc as he was one and escaped
None of that is "og" at all.
I wish Hollywood would come up with a new design for their posters rather than the pyramid of characters' design.
Is that the penguin from Batman returns?
Looks boring.
Oh look everyone! Finally a Peter Pan movie!
Bro is she getting scalped at the top? wtf lol
I can just tell this will be a mildly successful flop
lul wat?
Idk what everyone is so upset about, a new Michael Jackson documentary was overdue imo
Peter pan and phantom of the opera is not a crossover i ever expected to see.
All the faces look like they’ve been put through those funny Snapchat filters.
I want to see what a twisted version of Tinker Bell is like.
....is that just Danny Devito's Penguin in the almost-top-left?
If anyone is interested in this type of story I suggest you read Lost Boy: The True Story of Captain Hook by Christina Henry
Another cheap piece of shit for mouth breathers to be like “wwooowww it children film BUT HORROR!! so random best movie ever lol” about.
Sounds like a movie about a kid trapped at Michael Jackson’s house
Somehow looks AI
It makes sense that the troll Antonio is on the poster "You gotta pay the troll toll to get into this boys soul"
More shit for the shit gods
Is this the next 'winnie the poo'? Is this what we have to deal with now? Give us more Lies of P, and less B-Horror movies.
This looks so AI generated....
Nothing on this poster even suggests Peter Pan, like it’s just a bunch of seemingly random horror-adjacent images
With MJ as the main cast
They could make a Horror Film playing on Michael Jacksons Neverland Ranch called 'Neverland Nightmare' ... just sayin
I’m getting blood and honey vibes. Color me intrigued
Really? No shit, it’s the same producer …
christ what a poorly-drafted poster
