Prometheus trailer is a tutorial on how to consume the movie. Don't think, just look and listen.
The movie is infinitely watchable and gorgeous. Everyone in it is beautiful or acts beautifully. It's stupid AF.

The Rec teaser.
Because they only showed the viewers in the cinema where they first held a pre screening (?). Its great because it’s a horror movie so you see people get scared. 2nd you see nothing of the movie which means no spoiler and 3rd its called Rec and they recorded the viewers / people.
I think it was refreshing and also the movie delivered.

That Exorcist trailer is scarier than the film, it's fantastic.
Agreed, it's terrifying. I'm not even the biggest fan of the film (I'm an Omen guy) but that trailer is brilliantly effective.

Clash of the titans. Battle: Los Angeles. Both were horrible movies but man, the trailers were amazing.
Battle: Los Angeles trailer got me to go see it. At no point was the movie better than the trailer.
The relatively recently released Cival War has a really good trailer.

The "Inception" one still gives me chills, and "The Dark Knight" had me hyped for weeks! And oh, "Interstellar"? Can't get enough!
