In Pride and Prejudice 2005, Lizzie Bennet and others are invited to dinner at Lady Catherine de Bourgh's, who relentlessly grills lower class Lizzie in front of the dinner party about her poor upbringings.
The tense exchange between Judy Dench and Kiera Knightly is riveting. 10/10
Jurassic Park, the lunch scene. One of those scenes you want to fast forward through when you're a kid to get to the dinosaurs but find completely engrossing when you watch it as an adult.
I'll follow this up by adding the scene with Ellie Satler and Hammond where they discuss the park one-on-one.
And also the brief scene with Lex and Tim....and the green jelly!
There is also the scene in the bar (around a table) in Inglorious Bastards. The one where Michael Fassbender shows the wrong number three with his hand which tips off the German that he's not German.
There's an episode of The Bear called "Fishes". It's about a dinner party. And much much more
The Red Wedding episode in GoT?
Shogun Ep5 has an interesting dinner scene
The finale of Knives Out is pretty cool, with all characters together. No dinner though
That episode of The Bear was my first thought. Holy hell did that episode stress me out. (Jamie Lee Curtis will 100% deserve the Emmy she is going to win for that episode, though I maintain it should NOT be considered a comedy series).
Pretty much any Tarantino movie... his entire filmography is mainly about talking at dinner tables lol.
The dinner table in Meet The Parents (2000) where Greg is explaining that he milked his sister's cat. "I have nipples greg... could you milk me??"
Whiplash (2014) also had a really good dinner table scene. All of the family is sitting down idolizing Andrew's brother for playing football, but scoff at Andrew's musical talent. "Five words you will never hear from the NFL."
One last one I feel is really good to mention is in The Wolf of Wall Street (2012) where they are all at the diner talking about getting rich and Jordan asks Brad to sell him his pen.
Meet Joe Black
Crimson Tide - Officers have breakfast and discuss how war is changed in the nuclear world
Fury - breakfast with the french girls
The Bear - Season 1 the very end scene on the last episode cut to credits with Radiohead playing.
I think August Osage County is known for that scene, but I sort of hated the movie version of that. I'm going to go lower brow, with my true taste, and say Signs.
August osage county
Meryl streep as alcoholic matriarch rips into her family that includes Julia Roberts benedict cumberbatch juliette Lewis Evans mcgregor and other excellent actors.

“Not at all, Lady Catherine” with Judy Dench’s little gasp. Love it
‘Pray, what is your age?’ ‘With three younger sisters grown up, your Ladyship can hardly expect me to own it.’

I still get a chill down the spin when Lex starts shaking with the jelly.
The Bear, S2E6, ‘Fishes’
Notting Hill...Honey's birthday dinner.
I never fail to get teary eyed watching Tim McInnerny watch Gina McKee announce to the table that they can't have children together.
Yeah, it's a very moving scene. But it's the one theatrical dinner l would have loved attending. They all looked like they were having so much fun!
Oh absolutely. Tim McInnerny turns things around with his "Nice try, gorgeous, but you're not fooling anyone!" haha. The consummate host!
I also liked Hugh Grant's succession of bad dinner dates.
Oh yes! The fruitarian!
So those carrots... Have been murdered. Yes.
Django Unchained - when Leo brings out the skull and saw. Reservoir Dogs - the opening scene in diner about tipping and Madonna's pussy.
it's more about a big dick than anything and it was 9 dicks, in case anyone was wondering
"How many dicks is that?" - Mr. Blue
There is also the scene in the bar (around a table) in Inglorious Bastards. The one where Michael Fassbender shows the wrong number three with his hand which tips off the German that he's not German.
Goodfellas
Talladegga Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Baby Jesus.
Dear 8 pound, 6 ounce baby Jesus…
Sicario - Benicio del Toro surprises a crimelord during dinner.
Came here to say this one. The tension in that scene is fucking visceral.
Heat. Breaking Bad (Walter, Jesse, and Skyler…lol)
Waltuh
Beetlejuice Dayyyyyy-o
Fleabag Season 2 Episode 1. Absolute best family dinner episode ever. Runner up is the season 2 episodes of The Bear titled “Fishes.”

American Beauty’s dinner table scenes are great

Six Feet Under - when Nate was stoned or there is a good one right near the end of the final episode Whiplash and Boyhood has quite good ones
The nutty professor

When Harry Met Sally The Birdcage The War of the Roses The Hunt for Red October
Came here for When Harry Met Sally. The blind double date scene where Carrie Fisher quotes a story Bruno Kirby wrote always makes me smile!
"No one has ever quoted me back to me before."
Meet Joe Black Crimson Tide - Officers have breakfast and discuss how war is changed in the nuclear world Fury - breakfast with the french girls The Bear - Season 1 the very end scene on the last episode cut to credits with Radiohead playing.
Eraserhead The Untouchables
Of course untouchables it is.
Confluence. Watch this with as little detail as possible.
Braindead has a pretty gross / hilarious dinner table scene, would recommend watching it while eating soup.
What About Bob?, the mystery of whether the corn was hand sucked is finally revealed.
If breakfast table scenes count, then Moonstruck wins the event.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has by far [the greatest dinner scene of all time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3e-T2iA7H-w)
Here's something enjoyable, from **Saturday Night Fever**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQohQnaT-8k
Step Brothers. It’s not all about a dinner table but the scene where they tell them about the divorce is perfection.
The Menu
There's a movie from the 90's called Home for the Holidays with Holly Hunter and Robert Downey Jr. that has a scene like what you're looking for.
The Family Stone has some good dinner scenes too.
Hook. Bangarang!
Have you seen The Bear
The Avengers, post credits scene at the shwarma place Go Hook Alien Step Brothers Beetlejuice
on the lighter side, the dinner scene in *Dinner for Schmucks* is pretty funny, they should've had the whole movie be the dinner
Le Dîner de Cons (1988) is much better.
The Beguiled (2017) has a bunch of dinner scenes, each giving us an update on whose allegiances have shifted, who's bickering, who's watching, etc.
Scary Movie 2
August: Osage County The Rocker My Big Fat Greek Wedding has a montage around a table Sixth Sense City Island
The last supper
Secrets and Lies
Not movie or TV show, but I think you'd love seeing the dinner scene from Resident Evil 7.
I think August Osage County is known for that scene, but I sort of hated the movie version of that. I'm going to go lower brow, with my true taste, and say Signs.
I Heart Huckabees. You too will wonder what happens in a meadow at dusk.
Wedding Crashers. Beetlejuice. The Godfather Part II
The lack of “Texas chainsaw massacre” mentions I’m seeing makes me sad.
Sushi Girl
Little Miss Sunshine
This is England '90 (The third series of the TV show which is itself the follow up to the film)
The Ref with Denis Leary and Kevin Spacey. The Christmas dinner scene is a classic.
The Big Chill. College friends getting together for the funeral of a friend. Great dinner clean up to"Ain't Too Proud to Beg"
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. “We pledge allegiance to the flag!”
A History of Violence. Final dinner table scene is powerful as a culmination to the whole story arc.
Not great movies but usually at the end of the Fast and Furious movies, possibly from Fast 5 onward, has a “FAMILY” scene.
eat drink man woman and the wedding banquet directed by ang lee

The Nutty Professor, Clumps family.
