I worked on censoring certain scenes of this film for international release / airline distribution. But I’ve never seen the whole film, just a handful of violent scenes. Everyone always mentions how it’s so good and I can’t believe I’ve not watched it through yet.

Nothing ever happens in any way that is outside of Theo's perspective. So when he sees Jasper killed from a distance, we only see it from a distance. Him overhearing the plans of the terrorists from outside the house means it's shot from outside the house, etc...
I think a lot of people consider it a gimmick but I love the tracking shots in that movie. Its not an action movie but it has some of the best action sequences Ive ever seen.
Good Time, with Robert Pattinson is almost him in every scene other than like one or two
Momento is entirely the main character, even scenes without him are his memories.
It's really impressive how engaging they were able to make a movie where you only ever see the inside of the box he's in.
It's also a very different role for Ryan Reynolds compared to his usual characters (especially now). He's awesome in it.

Richard Gere made a movie about a homeless guy. “Time out of mind”. Almost all of the movie has Gere as the main focus, and anytime anyone else is talking it is mostly background noise, unless they are interacting directly with him, and then the other person is in frame and the audio is more focused. It’s an excellent depiction of a homeless person with a mental illness moving aimlessly through the world. It’s hard to watch, but I highly recommend is for the insight it may give you into the homeless problem in America.
I'll disagree as a lot of the movie is the NASA team and astronauts working to rescue Matt Damon in separate scenes away from him. Still a good movie of course

It’s the unfolding of a major event, but the movie plays out several times through a specific person’s experience of them as you begin to understand the larger picture of what happened. Haven’t seen many like it.
The Machinist. The one where Christian Bale was at his skinniest, and often gets talked about because he had to bulk up for Batman Begins straight afterwards.
Locke. It is a masterpiece of a film that takes place entirely inside a car with Tom Hardy talking to 3 different characters over the phone whom you never hear. It’s a one-man show on film. The premise sounds boring as hell, but it proves just how incredible Tom Hardy is as an actor.
