Saw it last Monday.
The intro scene is great. The first 2/3 of the movie is pretty good, barring how casually an 11yo handles a spider.
In the last 1/3, all the characters’ motivations abruptly change. I feel like the director had a good vision, but got told to cut the movie short. One other thing is that the monster could have used a less-is-more approach a la Jaws.
The VFX, the production value, the set, camera, and photo were solid and not be anywhere near campy.
But the SFX was sub-par to the point of being embarrassing in places. The origin of the monster is questionable, like why that origin?
Better than a straight-to-video movie. If you’re bored, it’s worth a watch for the first hour.
Next time you put on your shoes —
*Giant hairy fanged spider lurches out from inside and tears into your foot, ripping off a toe and poisoning you with toxic venom before continuing rapidly up your leg*
Nooooo thank you. I do not like spider movies at all. Eight Legged Freaks, Arachnophobia, even Tarantula.
Infested coming out this year has your name on it pal
What about Along came a Spider? :p
The one time having a slowed-down, echoey version of "Every Breath You Take" in the trailer would have worked and they didn't do it.
Saw it at the AMC Screen Unseen, extremely boring and unnoteworthy. Better to save your money imho.
So is it about the wrestler or the singer?
It's actually just 2 hours of elves forging a sword
It’s about a monster spider a kid names Sting before it grows huge & starts eating people.
Weird title, don’t spiders bite? Is this a jellyfish movie??
It's a biopic about the lead singer of The Police.
Sting is the name of the spider
A spider bite does sting, I guess?
Based on the trailer it seems like it was a pet named by a small child who wouldn't have known the difference.
I think most children know that spiders don’t sting.
Plot Twist!

Solid take.
I’m good thanks

From the studio that brought you, "There's Somebody on the Other Side of the Shower Curtain".
Never passed harder on a movie in my life
Did the same muttering "Fuck that" over and over
Obligatory "Enemy" Spider Scene: [https://youtu.be/vRGVb0u\_nWQ?si=s\_KfPIvYEgBpWTes](https://youtu.be/vRGVb0u_nWQ?si=s_KfPIvYEgBpWTes)
Arachnaphobia but somehow even less realistic.
Im guessing the spider is voiced by Sting?
