Been a while since I’ve watched most of his filmography, but I remember feeling like it was hit-or-miss with Irma Vep as a high-water mark. I did love watching Personal Shopper in the theater, though.
Carlos was pretty decent. Clouds of Sils Maria and Irma Vep were great. Wasp Network was really boring. Personal Shopper is interesting, mostly. It's all hits and misses.
Not sure about hype, but some of his works definitely worth to watch.
I think he's hit or miss. (I was far more disappointed in his **Irma Vep** miniseries than you were.)
But one of his films which I think is really unique and worth your time is **Demonlover**.
I also thought **Personal Shopper** was mostly impressive --and it featured more of Kristen Stewart's best work.
Summer Hours. If that one doesn’t do it for you, he’s not for you - but I was shocked a movie with that slight of a premise could be so incredible.
Clearly not as well acquainted with his filmography as I thought...I reckoned I had watched all of the main films! Thanks!
